Very exciting performance by Cowboy Scott Casey... Too bad Bundy was just too large a mountain to climb...
Also enjoyed the Race vs Beefcake encounter... And that main event was off the chain... Can Daivari lead his clients to tag team gold in Boston?
Fun stuff!

A great night of action in St. Louis, and it was cool to see Volkoff & Sheik hang with the Road Warriors in the main event. Lou Thesz over Buddy Rogers in a classic battle as well. Looking forward to Bobo Brazil challenging Randy Savage for the world title plus Race vs. Brody.

Card -8 (ULC 04 – Savage v. Brazil) TD Garden, Boston Massachusetts Jan 20, 2018
Hollywood Knights (Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré, “Pretty Boy” Bobby Heenan, Lenny Lane & Rock Riddle) defeated Brutus Beefcake, Marty Jannetty, Jimmy Snuka & Scott Taylor. Riddle and the Knights got into the face of Morgan Dollar and Dollar appears intimidated. Heenan gets cut off early and Snuka crushes him with a SUPERFLY LEAP but a pin save from Riddle keeps him alive and eventually Scott Taylor gets trapped in the ring by the Knights. He is saved from a SPINNING TOEHOLD and later from MEMORY LANE before he is able to tag out to the Superfly who cleans house. George is able to run Snuka into the ringside table and when the action goes back inside, he reaches the ropes to break out of a SPINNING TOEHOLD from George. Lane tags in and finishes it with a MEMORY LANE. **
The Double Axe Attack (Curt Hennig & Larry Hennig) bested Leg Breakers (The Destroyer & Greg Valentine) by disqualification. This was hard hitting from the outset. Valentine and Destroyer cut off Curt Hennig and manage to leave him bloodied and battered after Valentine runs him into the ring post. Hennig is able to eventually hot tag out and Larry Hennig rocks both his opponents but eventually Destroyer regains the upper hand with a series of Bombs Away. Valentine & Destroyer decide to double up and beat down Larry Hennig and when Dollar steps in, Destroyer shoves him to the mat and that is enough to get the disqualification call. ***
King Kong Bundy pinned “Cowboy” Scott Casey. Casey came out ready to fight and took the battle to Bundy battering him from corner to corner. Bundy managed to survived three BULLDOGS before he was finally able to make a comeback catching Casey on the top of the corner and slamming him to the mat. Bundy used his size to keep the advantage and put away Casey with a simple body slam. ***
Foreign Legion (Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff) w/Shawn Daivari beat World Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) to the win the titles. Some serious brawling in this one as you would expect. Hawk impresses with back to back to back gorilla press slams to Sheik early on and the Warriors dominate most of the action with their double teaming. Animal cannot put away Volkoff with a POWER SLAM and eventually Sheik is able to avoid Animal’s deathjump smash leading to a near fall before Sheik loads up his boot and knocks Animal silly with a Loaded Boot busting him open and getting the title winning three count. Huge heat for the Legion as they celebrate at ringside. *** ½
Frank Dalton & Ted DiBiase defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Diamond Dallas Page by disqualification. Page is just a cheerleader early on as Duggan fires away on both Dalton & DiBiase. Duggan and Dalton go to the floor and Duggan decides to use his 2x4 to club Dalton and Dollar calls for the disqualification. Duggan cracks DiBiase after the bell as well much to the delight of those at ringside send DiBiase & Dalton retreating to the back. * Bruiser Brody defeated Harley Race. Double tough competitors clashed in match that lasted only five moves. Brody count attacked and landed a JUMPING KNEE DROP for the three count. D
Lou Thesz downed Buddy Rogers by disqualification. Despite the desire of Morgan Dollar to see a conclusive finish, Rogers quickly took the action outside and then attacked Thesz with a steel chair earning a disqualification. The fans are irate at Rogers who tosses Thesz into the ring and applies a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. Jimmy Snuka arrives to break things up but the damage is done. Rogers leaves to great heat while Snuka assists Thesz from the ring (one card injury). D
Bobo Brazil defeated World Champion “Macho Man” Randy Savage to win the title. Savage was all over Morgan Dollar before the bell and Dollar was shaken. Savage came out strong and used his quickness to maintain the advantage. A flying axe-handle to the floor rocked Brazil. Brazil was able to mount a comeback at ringside when Savage attempted to deck him with the title belt but Brazil ducked and then smashed Savage with the belt busting him open. The rain of COCO BUTTS puts a bloody Savage to the mat for several near falls before Brazil used a Bobo Body Slam to end it and win the title. ***

Colossal victories for the Foreign Legion and Bobo Brazil... Definitely did not see either of those title changes coming...
Unfortunate that an intense encounter between Thesz and Rogers ended with a technical decision... But, I'm sure Thesz will be eager to get back in the ring with the Nature Boy once he's fully recovered...
Another excellent show!

Congrats to Bobo Brazil and the Foreign Legion on their title wins. I agree with Pariah as I also did not see those title changes coming, especially the Road Warriors losing the belts but that Loaded Boot can be a great equalizer against a team like Hawk & Animal. Looks like Lou Thesz vs. Buddy Rogers is going to be a big time feud which is exactly how it should be. Thesz will definitely be looking for revenge following that attack.

Card 09 (ULC of Fox) Spectrum Centre, Charlotte, North Carolina Jan 27, 2018
Thesz one card injury
The Taylors (Chaz Taylor & Tugboat Taylor) defeated Lou Albano & Bruiser Costa) via disqualification. Some solid back and forth action in the opener with both sides having some time in control of the action. The Taylors gain the upper hand and Tugboat Taylor nearly ends it with an ANCHOR DROP on Costa. Later, Tugboat hot tags into the action against Albano and the action goes outside after a cartwheel and clothesline from the three hundred-pound Taylor that rocks the fans. At ringside, Albano cracks Taylor with a chair shot and is disqualified. Both sides brawl after the bell with the Taylors cleaning house. **
Pampero Firpo bested Blue Meanie via count-out. This one was a wild and crazy as you would expect. Firpo absolutely destroyed Meanie in the early going but Meanie managed to make the ropes to escape an EL GARFIO. The assault continued in and out of the ring until Meanie was able to counter a whip at ringside sending Firpo into the ring post. With the fans roaring, Meanie picked up near falls after a People’s Leg Drop and a MEANIESAULT. However, Firpo was able to brawl his way back into control and eventually dropped Meanie onto the floor with a running powerslam that lead to the count out victory. ***
Double Axe Attack (Larry Hennig & Curt Hennig) bested Leg Breakers (The Destroyer & Greg Valentine). The action was closely contested from the opening bell with both teams making key defensive tags to keep the momentum going back and forth. Hennig was able to catch Destroyer with a HENNIG PLEX mid-way through the bout for a big near fall but the action continued. They battled in and out of the ring. The Hennigs were able to use some double teaming to gain the upper hand but Valentine battled back against Curt Hennig mounting the corner for a deathjump knee but Hennig rolled clear sending The Hammer crashing to the mat. Hennig quickly rolled him up for the three count. ** ½
“Macho Man” Randy Savage crushed “Cowboy Scott Casey. Savage did not appear to be in a good mood and took his frustrations out verbally on Morgan Dollar before the bell. Dollar appears shaken but still calls for the bell and Savage tears into Casey leading to a neckbreaker clothesline and a FLYING ELBOW SMASH ending the contest in just four moves. D
Hollywood Knights (“Pretty Boy” Bobby Heenan, Lenny Lane & Rock Riddle) defeated Brutus Beefcake, Scott Taylor & Marty Jannetty. Riddle must have sensed that Morgan Dollar was still agitated from the actions of Randy Savage because he also wasted no time getting into the face of Dollar. At the bell, the Knights cut off Jannetty and quickly went to work. Heenan gave way to Lane who hit MEMORY LANE for a two count before Riddle came off the top with a deathjump cross body for the shockingly quick victory. D
Rob Van Dam survived Bruiser Brody by disqualification. Morgan Dollar appeared ready to let these two go at it and Brody took full advantage of the situation attacking Van Dam in and out of the ring with no stop offense. Van Dam survived two JUMPING KNEE DROPS before he was able to break through with his own offensive attack starting with a body slam onto the ringside table. Van Daminator did some damage and lead to a two count after a split-legged moonsault. The action when back to the floor where Brody grabbed his chain and choked out Van Dam leaving Dollar no choice but to call for the bell and disqualify Brody. ***
Buddy Rogers & Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré downed Jimmy Snuka & Lou Thesz. The action was intense right from the opening bell with Rogers and Snuka squaring off. Rogers trapped Snuka in a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE but a rope break kept the action going allowing Snuka to comeback running Rogers into the ring post busting him open. Thesz could not put Rogers away after a GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP and soon George was able to get into the action and looked very impressive against Thesz picking up a near falls after a pair of ROLLING HIPLOCKS and nearly submitting Thesz with a SPINNING TOE HOLD. Snuka mounted a comeback after Rogers missed a deathjump smash. However during a brawl on the floor, Rogers ran Snuka into the post busting him open. The action went back and forth from that point with all four men tagging in and out of the action. Rogers was able to trip up Snuka from the floor and rammed his leg off the ring post. George then tagged into the action and pinned Snuka for the win with a ROLLING HIPLOCK (snake eyes). **** ½
World Tag Team Champions Foreign Legion (Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff) & Shawn Daivari bested Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) & Paul Ellering. The heat for the Foreign Legion and Daviari is off the charts and Morgan Dollar as strict instructions for both sides. Hawk and Animal unleash a flurry of offense on Volkoff including a crowd pleasing gorilla press slam from Hawk. Ellering tags in and misses his leg drop allowing Sheik to tag in. One sidewinder suplex later and it was over just like that. Sheik celebrates with his teammates but the Warriors have other ideas clearing the ring and crushing Sheik with a triple team spike piledriver in the middle of the ring. Sheik is dragged to the floor and assisted to the back by his teammates. D (2 card injury)

Those two matches leading up to the main event really tore the house down... Really hoping to see a rematch between RVD and Brody... Perhaps with some hardcore stipulation in effect...
Also impressed the Hollywood Knights were able to secure a win against three capable opponents so quickly... Wondering if Dollar's agitation might have led to a bit of a fast count...
Fun show!

Definitely a great show in Charlotte and that match between Thesz & Snuka and Rogers & George tore the house down. Very cool to see Gorgeous George win it for his team. Huge win for the Foreign Legion in the 6-man tag but the Iron Sheik paid for it courtesy of the triple Spike Piledriver by the Road Warriors and Paul Ellering. I have to say that I am becoming a huge fan of the Hollywood Knights, that is a really fun combination of talent. Go "Pretty Boy" Bobby Heenan!

Card 10 (ULC Main Event) – Frank Ewin Centre, Austin Texas – Feb 18
Pamper Firpo bested Scott Taylor. Taylor had the fans solidly behind him and really took it to Firpo from the opening bell who appeared to have intimidated Morgan Dollar during the introductions. Taylor used everything he could in an effort to get Firpo in position for THE WORM but was not successful. Firpo made a brief offensive attack midway thought the action that consisted mainly of biting his opponent which earned him some serious heat. The finish came with Taylor seemingly in control of the bout getting caught on the top corner and tossed to the mat. Firpo locked in EL GARFIO for the win. ** ½
Redd Dogg submitted King Kong Bundy. This was a battle of the big men that started off with stern words to both competitors from Morgan Dollar. The action consisted of power moves and blows early on and Dogg managed to pick up the pace but Bundy was game causing Dogg to miss a charge into the corner for a near fall. Things went back and forth until Dogg was able to rebound Bundy into a high knee and then scored a near fall off an STO. Dogg then moved into a BLACKOUT for the win. **
Rock Riddle bested Marty Jannetty by count-out. There was controversy in this one from the outset as Riddle was all over Morgan Dollar before the bell leaving the official shaken. The action got underway and things quickly went in favour of Riddle. He took the battle to the floor and got the best of the exchange with a low blow that Dollar seemingly ignored. Dollar then went back outside and dropped Jannetty with a chair shot busting him open. Jannetty could not regain the ring before the ten count and Dollar called for the bell. Scott Taylor is out to protest the decision but the Dollar will not change his mind. D
Nikolai Volkoff w/Shawn Daivari pinned Road Warrior Animal w/Paul Ellering. Animal dominated the action from the bell showing he was both stronger and faster then his Russian opponent. A POWER SLAM picked up a near fall and Animal was in complete control of the match when Volkoff was able to avoid a charge to the corner sending the Road Warrior hard into the buckles. Volkoff rolled up Animal for a two count and then hit his BACKBREAKER DROP for the stunning come from behind victory. * ½
Double Axe Attack (Curt Hennig & Larry Hennig) bested Leg Breakers (The Destroyer & Greg Valentine) by disqualification. Hennig and Destroyer thrilled the fans with their early exchange of forearms before the Leg Breakers were able to cut off Curt Hennig for a stretch and work the lower body. Hennig was able to catch Valentine on the top of the corner and slam him to the mat turning the momentum and allowing his father back into the match. The Hammer and The Axe went to the floor where Valentine clobbered Hennig with a chair and was disqualified. * ½
Harley Race destroyed Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré. It took George about ten times as long to get into the ring then it took for Race to put him away. Swinging neckbreaker for two and a PILEDRIVER ended it. D
Rob Van Dam over Bruiser Brody. Brody’s chain swinging and barking appear to disturb Morgan Dollar who appears genuinely concerned for his own safety. Brody was a machine early in this one with a counter to everything Van Dam tried and a relentless attack of stomps, slams and punches. Van Dam finally caught a break countering a charge into the corner with a knee. He immediately went on the offensive picking up the pace. A body scissors cradle and Rolling Thunder gave him near falls but it was a standing moonsault that earned him the three count. (snake eyes). Brody is anything but pleased after the match and Dollar is quick to leave the ring. World Champion Bobo Brazil, Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Diamond Dallas Page defeated Frank Dalton, Ted DiBiase & “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Dalton found himself in trouble early on and all three of his opponents took their turn dishing out the punishment. DiBiase has finally able to tag in against Page and the momentum turned. Savage then entered the battle and nailed a running knee to the back but Page was able to recover and catch Savage with a DIAMOND CUTTER out of nowhere for the upset three count.
