A separate tourney for GWF, POW, aCe, and Legends would work out beautifully since not only can you as a player qualify for the finals tourney, but also as it would be crown a champ for each fed for the year in terms of which wrestler won.

I agree with many things being said.
I think the individual tourneys should consist of cards from just the respective feds. Whatever Mike wants to do with the Canada Cup is up to him (it's your tournament promoter!) since he's a crazy Canadian.
The GalactiCon Cup should be open to all the feds. That's the big melting pot tourney. And while I'm a bit biased, here's hoping someone makes TM sad by winning with a LOW card in the near future!

If we ever get Thesz or Andre, I'll use one of them in the Galacticup;)
Until then, I've got one guy in mind I'd liek to put on the no-use list except by me.

Just a couple of suggestions. I can't buy that Legend shouldn't compete with the GWF guys.
1) If a Legend guy needs some sort of conversion chart, then Frank Gotch/Hackenschmidt should need one when competing against guys who competed in todays wrestling.
The time frame in which Gotch competed compared to todays stars is relatively the same as to when the GWF started.
I look at Legends, the CPC, GWF, aCe as shoots, meaning there are no pre-determined winners.
2) If "yesterday's" wrestlers aren't supposed to compete with today's wrestlers, then why would Omega go out of his way to recruit the Greek Gods, a team that basically started wrestling, to battle the Gladiators? Or even Heracles for that matter.
And no excuse that the Greek Gods had "time to train" in the future because they were immediately cast into a feud with the Gladiators.
Omega must have thought pretty highly about those guys from the past or he would have never recruited them....
Like Omega would tell everyone...wrestling is wrestling...

All I know is that Tom was distraught that Steve Williams (a guy from Oklahoma who wasn't even that good) beat an Ani-man who had the Eugenics project done to him as well as an Aethran Cleansing in Monolith.
That just doesn't make sense.
Quoting the man himself, "The GWF is supposed to be the BEST fighters from all over the galaxy. It doesn't make sense that Steve Williams should be able to beat him."
Leave the GalactiCup tourney open but the idea of same fed tourneys is the way to go and that seems to be the general consensus so I'm glad we'll be seeing that in the years to come.

I think that once a wrestler wins the cup, that card should be retired. For examply if Monolith can win it with his 2121 card, then his 2122 card is still eligible, but the 2121 card should be retired...regardless of who is using him. Chaos has won the cup multiple times, so what fun is it if you use him again to win the cup? Also, I do believe for Kevin's hardcore tournament next year, no bootleg charts should be used. It is an official game convention for a game with alot of official matches, there should be no room for bootlegs at the actual tournaments...only to share with others.

I think that we'll have many more special matches next year with the new Ringside Companion. I'm less concerned with using bootleg matches than bootleg cards.

Speaking of the new Ringside Anthology, it's still slated for release this summer, right? As in soon, right? Huh, huh, huh? Yeah, I've been looking forward to it

Wow, where to start. I know most take what Tom says is gold, but to say the GWF is the best fighters is a totally false statement. While the federation itself may be the best, not all of the best fighters are in the GWF.
I'd take Shylock to wipe out plenty on the GWF roster. If you want to argue a guy like Gryt, Plethador, etc are better than a Shylock...well, you must be a true GWF mark.
And Steve Williams not that good. Wow. I'm guessing Tim, Chad, Cory and co should be fired for making him "that good". They simply take his stats from his place in wrestling where he was a main event guy everywhere he went except his WWF stint (and that was only because he got beat by Gunn). But not everything revolves around the WWF in the history of wrestling. Kinda hard to believe, I know I know.
I'm still waiting why for anyone to explain to me why Tom made the Greek Gods and Heracles so good? So good they made it to Omega's team, the top team in the GWF. If all of the previous logic holds up, and Tom's logic as well, they should SUCK.
Can anyone explain it? If that's Toms logic, then Plethador should wipe the mat with the Greek Gods or Heracles.

Without debating your personal assessment of Williams accomplishments, I think Tom realizes this is a game based on random dice rolls and probablilites and that anything can happen in one match. I know the GWF is his baby, but sometimes the dice don't care. Williams' stats are far from stacked and I doubt he would do well in a series of matches against Monolith (or most of the GWF, POW or aCe guys for that matter). Still, if someone wants to use him in the G-Con Cup, I say go for it...just don't plan on winning.
