Card 162 - Ceres Amphitheater:
(THE FINAL CARD OF 2086 AND THE EARLY CLASSICS ERA)
(Two lesser known guys, Red Talon and Duke of Destruction who haven’t featured on the TV before are on the bill - very little by way of introduction and they soon disappear from GWF screens although they are rumoured to of featured in some dark matches before and after this show. The Duke is said to of engaged in a personal battle with Exo-King for leadership of the Evil Ones which he ultimately lost. Exo-King officially changes the name of the team to the Royal Court shortly after)
Thantos and Exo-King (Comrade Terror at ringside) beat the Deimos Dazzlers (Star Warrior at ringside). A chance for the Dazzlers to end their GWF careers on a high as they confirm this will be their farewell match. They are presented with a huge challenge. Individually Thantos and Exo-King would demolish the Dazzlers but as a team they will feel they’ve got a chance. They take precautionary measures by bringing their old rival Star Warrior to ringside with them. His presence is counteracted by Comrade Terror on the other side. The Dazzlers make a good fight of it but Exo-King is just too strong. With Thantos pulling the strings and Comrade Terror keeping Star Warrior occupied Exo-King is free to pummel Rama. He clamps on DEATH VISE causing Rama to pass out and then tosses him away like a piece of garbage. He and Thantos then close in on Tano to wreck their farewell party. Star Warrior breaks free of Comrade Terror and tries to get between them to help but Exo-King manages to land a huge punch on Rama over his shoulder which sends him sprawling. Both Dazzlers are left unconscious with Star Warrior looking concerned. The terrible villain trio depart with a satisfied and arrogant demeanour. The advantage has swung back to the villains as we now officially enter 2087. The heroes have their work cut out
Duke of Destruction triumphed against Beast-Rider. The debut of Beast-Rider as he casts off his manager role to enter the ring. It’s been an eventful show already for him and here he provides a rare moment of light heartedness. He leads a small furry dog-like animal to the ring which proceeds to make a move straight for the Duke nipping at his ankles and then biting at and tearing at his robe. The Duke tries to kick it away but the critter is too quick and ends up embarrassing him. The laughter of the crowd only serves to rile the Duke. By the time he locks up with Beast-Rider there is steam coming out of his ears. He wipes the floor with Beast-Rider and only takes a few minutes to win with GRIP OF DOOM. He then mumbles something about finding that flea infested animal and having it put to sleep. He spends a few minutes looking around and even checking under the ring but thankfully it is nowhere to be found
Titan Death Match, Pit Viper beats Ghengis Khan in under 10 seconds (just one move). Shocking return to the ring. Pit Viper is tired of small talk over his return and aims to make an immediate mark. Khan is filled with dread over the contents of the box Viper brings with him and what critters might lurk within. Pit Viper carries the box over and tips thousands of creepy crawlies over Khan who is so frozen with fear that he passes out. Pit Viper pins him there on the spot. When Khan comes round he goes absolutely mad. He grabs his battle sword and destroys the ring ropes (once again the ring has to undergo repairs). The Society of Death fumes over this humiliation. Krakan warns Viper for this stunt “we can always jump you again, first we messed up your face and next time it’ll be your body. Mutant will be more than happy to do the job. It may not be smart but if I assign a task it always carries out my instructions”
Massif makes a winning debut over the Executioner after being made to wait as the ring is restored. Massif is a sight to behold and it will be some meeting when this gentle giant comes face to face with Exo-King. The Executioner delivers some blows which do not even phase Massif. It takes a low blow to get any sort of reaction. Massif always looked the likeliest winner but may have to improve his abilities as it’s more down to his size that carries him to victory rather than wrestling skills. What he lacks in skill though he makes up for with power, heart and also showing a mean streak that will serve him well in the battle against the villains. He delivers VOLCANIC DROP to take all the wind out of the Executioner and grab the pin. Massif post match promo sends out a warning to Exo-King, “what a night. My nerves were tingling before and the wait didn’t help but it’s so good to get this out of my system. I am now pumped and ready for you Exo-King. I am coming for your crown. It will be a laugh to call myself King Massif or maybe I’ll use the name of the Massif King”
Renegade overwhelms Mutant. Given the match cast it is a surprise it actually ends with a pin fall as everyone had been expecting a DQ outcome. Renegade flipped out when he found out about Natural Man’s betrayal. He lets it all out after winning this match. In an uncontrollable rage he lashed out at the referee and rips all the turnbuckles and dismantles the ropes. Beast-Rider (who is actually booked to wrestle later on) comes galloping to ringside on a beast and helps calm him down by promising to leave his managerial duties and become his partner full-time. Together they will feud with Natural Man (as he still calls him) and his new friend Killer Queen
Wolf destroys Red Talon and shows once again the potency of his new finisher SAVAGE FACE CLAW. It’s almost like a practice match for Wolf as Red Talon doesn’t lay a finger (or claw) on him. The only hazard Wolf has to deal with is almost choking on a feather that happened to flutter into his mouth as he was howling in a celebratory fashion.
