Match Notes: Cosmos found himself in trouble after a failed turnbuckle maneuver resulted in Mimic mimicking Cosmos’ own Cosmic Skull Smasher (itself a twist on Morpheus’ Satanic Skull Smasher), which Cosmos had used early in the match. The silent Mimic then repeatedly locked Cosmos into his sleeper finisher for the submission victory.

The Mensans (Cordsar and Trotarus) vs. The Wind Riders (Rama and Tano)
Trotarus defeated Rama with MENSAN LOCK at 11:47
Match Rating: 3.50
Match Notes: The rookies had their hometown crowd cheering as they appeared to have The Mensans on the ropes. However, a mistake by Rama shifted the momentum, and Trotarus took advantage for the win.

Santon vs. Ricken Prince
Santon defeated Ricken Prince via disqualification at 4:05
Match Rating: 2.00
Match Notes: The match was a brawl for its short duration. Prince was disqualified for hitting Santon with his low-blow BOW TO THE PRINCE finisher. Prince stood over a kneeling, and in pain, Santon and laughed as he struggled to recover.

Morpheus vs. Screw
Morpheus defeated Screw with TRIP TO HADES at 1:14
Match Rating: 0.50
Match Notes: Screw failed attempting a risky turnbuckle maneuver early in the match and fell to the ring floor. As the referee checked on Morpheus, Jack Hood appeared through the crowd, attacked Screw, and threw him in the ring. Morpheus turned around and, seeing the prone Screw on the mat, picked him up for his finisher and the win. After the match, Hood jumped into the ring and attacked Morpheus as well, before Omega and a recovered Screw were able to chase him back through the crowd.

GWF Tag Team champions Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare) vs. CrossCurrents (Thetis and Vortex) – GWF Tag Team Title match
Moonstrike defeated Thetis with PALADIN DROP at 3:13
Match Rating: 2.00
Match Notes: A flurry of early offense from both teams turned when Moonstrike stunned Thetis with a top rope clothesline, followed by his finisher for the win. As the two teams were shaking hands after the match, Dorado Sundown walked to ringside and yelled insults and challenges to the champs before being escorted away by security.

GWF Galaxian champion K.O. Keller vs. Omega – GWF Galaxian Title match
Omega defeated K.O. Keller with COSMIC WAR DANCE at 11:46
Omega wins the GWF Galaxian Title
Match Rating: 4.00
Match Notes: Keller dominated the match early and nearly pinned Omega after hitting THE TEN COUNT around the halfway point. However, Omega recovered and went on an offensive tear in the last two minutes of the match where he hit Keller with both COSMIC WAR DANCE and TOMAHAWK THRUST twice each, only to see Keller kick out of the pin attempt all four times. One final COSMIC WAR DANCE, however, finally put the champ down for the count and found the Galaxian belt around Omega’s waist for the first time.

Omega claims the top prize and I'm excited to see how long he can hold onto the strap... Also cool that Mimic and Santon picked up big wins on the show... Good times!

Pariah Swarm TTX thanks for the comments. Yeah, I was disappointed as well with the quick Morpheus/Screw match, but I stick with the results that happen and use it to continue storylines... in this case, the ongoing Screw/Jack Hood feud.

GWF Ringside Report

One of the GWF’s co-founders can finally say he’s the GWF Galaxian champion. Omega’s title victory over K.O. Keller at GWF 17 assures him of being the champ when this year’s 4 man round robin tournament takes place at GWF 20. The four competitors in the round robin tournament are still to be determined, but 3 big singles contests are scheduled for GWF 18 that will play a part in that determination, along with additional matches to take place at GWF 19.

Dorado Sundown has demanded a rematch against the team that defeated them for the GWF Tag Team Titles, Paladin Power. However, they must first get through CrossCurrents at GWF 18, as the GWF has scheduled a match between the last two teams that the champs have defeated.

Many of the major media sources that cover the GWF have come together to form the Professional Wrestling Media Association (PWMA). The PWMA’s first act was to have its members vote on year-end awards for the GWF for 2075. Three awards were presented: K.O. Keller was named GWF Wrestler of the Year, Paladin Power was named GWF Tag Team of the Year, and the Paladin Power/Dorado Sundown match at GWF 15 was named GWF Match of the Year.

Cosmos defeated Torpor with THE MASTERDROP at 7:27

Match Notes: Torpor had the rookie from Maffei II on the ropes but missed an elbow drop, leading to Cosmos hitting his finisher for his first GWF win.

Defiance (Blood and Jammer) vs. The Wind Riders (Rama and Tano)
Rama defeated Blood with a shooting star press at 1:46
Match Rating: 1.25
Match Notes: Rama countered a ropes maneuver by Blood with a shoulder tackle that knocked Blood into his partner, who tumbled off the ring apron to the floor. A stunned Blood was thus unable to make a defensive tag and was pinned two moves later.

Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) vs. CrossCurrents (Thetis and Vortex) - #1 contenders match
Vortex defeated Bullwhip with a cross body block from the top turnbuckle at 9:47
Match Rating: 3.50
Match Notes: In a stunning match, Thetis and Vortex were the aggressors and successfully cut the ring in half, trapping Bullwhip in the ring and isolating Blacklash on the outside. A succession of offensive moves by Vortex eventually put Bullwhip down for the count. After the match, a frustrated Blacklash attacked the winners with his partner’s whip until Paladin Power made the save.

Screw vs. Commander Sam
Screw defeated Commander Sam with FREAKISH FACE SLAM at 3:40
Match Rating: 2.50
Match Notes: After both wrestlers were nearly disqualified for brawling out of the ring, Screw was able to reverse a turnbuckle maneuver and hit Sam with his finisher for the win.

Torin Caelum vs. Santon
Santon defeated Torin Caelum with an atomic skullcrusher at 7:34
Match Rating: 3.00
Match Notes: Caelum had the early advantage, but Santon took control after reversing a ropes maneuver with a flying shoulder tackle. A succession of offensive moves was able to wear down Caelum to give Santon the win.

K.O. Keller vs. Jack Hood
Jack Hood defeated K.O. Keller with a leaping backbreaker at 17:54
Match Rating: 4.50
Match Notes: Keller took an incredible amount of punishment during the match, both in and out the ring (8 tokens!). Following yet another attack on the floor ringside, Hood was finally able to roll Keller back into the ring and get the win.

Hood makes a huge statement by beating the former champ... He's gotta be chomping at the bit for a shot at Omega's gold... Wicked stuff!

Surprising to see the Cross Currents with the monster W over Dorado Sundown to claim the no.1 contender spot. They never did well for me. Looking forward to seeing if they can win the straps!
