Rumors are swirling that the Missing Link is literally "missing" and his status could impact the big Lumberjack Tag-Team match at November Pain.
Comissioner Charlie Cox stated he will afford Angelo Mosca a suitable substitute, but he may have trouble finding a partner at this late of a date, especially after DDP joins the 10-man tag-team match with Hacksaw Duggan entrusted with referee duties.
On the other side of the coin, Bobby Heenan claims that he should pick two partners and make it a 6-man elimination tag-team match as he feels Bundy and Superstar can handle anyone Mosca can scrape up! Heenan even claimed that he will don the tights so he can help in giving Mosca a lesson once and for all!!! With this match up in the air, here is the remaining lineup for NOVEMBER PAIN:
Ladies Champion Ida Mae vs Sherri Martel
Mixed Tag Team Match: Trinity and Naptown Dragons vs. Eddie Fyne and Heartbreak Express
Round-Robin Series III – 1st Leg, Hardcore Style! Sabu vs. Sandman vs. Necro Butcher!
Due to Sheik burning Brody with a FIREBALL: Bruiser Brody vs. Sheik – Falls Count Anywhere!
10-Man Survival Match: James Gang, Dr. Death, Ted Dibiase and Diamond Dallas Page vs. Larry Legend, The Mountie, Ace Orton, Magnificent Muraco and Rick Rude. Commissioner Cox appointed Hacksaw Duggan as Special Guest Referee!
Curt Hennig selects a Best-of-three falls "to a finish" after winning the Syracuse tag-team match: SLAM Champion Curt Hennig vs. FSW Champion Jushin Liger

SLAM at Philadelphia.
Mixed Tag Team Match Eddie Fyne and Heartbreak Express b. Trinity and Naptown Dragons by DQ when Vortekz used a foreign object brought into the match by Eddie Fyne.
Round-Robin Series III – 1st Leg, Hardcore Style! Sandman b. Sabu, HARDCORE DDT. Sabu suffered an injury from the pounding Sandman laid down on him.
Sensastional Sherri beat Ladies Champion Ida Mae to win the title.
Lumberjack Match: King Kong Bundy and Masked Superstar vs. Missing Link and Angelo Mosca
Round-Robin Series III – 2nd Leg, Hardcore Style! Necro Butcher b. Sandman. Sabu was to be the opponent but Charlie Cox ordered Sandman to the ring in order to give Sabu some recuperation time. Sabu got involved during the match and his interference led to a ASIATIC SPIKE forcing Sandman to pass out.
10-Man Survival Match with Hacksaw Duggan as Special Guest Referee: James Gang, Dr. Death, Ted Dibiase and Hacksaw Duggan vs. Larry Legend, The Mountie, Ace Orton, Magnificent Muraco and Rick Rude.
Order of eliminations:
Magnificent Muraco pinned Dibiase with HAWAIIAN HAMMER after Dibiase missed a death jump on Rude.
BG James used a PUMPHANDLE SLAM to beat Orton
Kip James used a cobra clutch slam to beat Mountie after Duggan KO’d Mountie with a haymaker. Mountie and Larry double-teamed Kip injuring him in the process.
Rick Rude b. DDP, RUDE AWAKENING.
Kip James b. Larry Legend, STANDING LEG DROP after Muraco accidentally clotheslined Larry Legend.
Steve Williams b. Rick Rude, OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE
Magnificent Muraco slugged Hacksaw Duggan forcing a DQ. Muraco argued with Duggan about the three-to-one odds. The James Gang and Steve Williams were the sole survivors.
Round-Robin Series III – 3rd Leg, Hardcore Style! Necro Butcher b. Sabu TIGER DRIVER to win the Round-robin. Sabu was in no shape to gain the win as the previous action with Sandman obviously took its toll.
With rumors are swirling that the Missing Link is literally "missing" Comissioner Charlie Cox stated he will afford Angelo Mosca a suitable substitute for his lumberjack match with Bobby Heenan’s team of King Kong Bundy and Masked Superstar. Bobby Heenan claims that he should pick two partners and make it a 6-man elimination tag-team match as he feels Bundy and Superstar can handle anyone Mosca can scrape up! Heenan even claimed that he will don the tights so he can help in giving Mosca a lesson once and for all!!! Angelo Mosca announced that he chose two men who cannot stand Heenan.
Bobby Heenan dons the tights with King Kong Bundy and Masked Superstar versus Angelo Mosca, Yukon Eric and Larry “The Axe” Hennig.
Order of eliminations: Yukon Eric made quick work of old rival King Kong Bundy with a KODIAK KRUNCH.
Larry Hennig used the AXE to pin the Superstar leaving a three-on-one for Bobby Heenan!
The Brain was bounced around like a pinball and quickly bloodied. Eric used a thunderous body slam to end the match.
Best-of-three falls to a finish, “pound-for-pound challenge” SLAM Champion Curt Hennig (with Ladies Champion Sensational Sherri) b. FSW Champion Jushin Liger. Liger broke loose winning the first fall with after repeated shoda’s. Hennig rallied in the second fall with a running knee lift.
The third fall was an up and down donnybrook after a wild leap wiped out the ring announcer and timekeeper. Liger then gained a late advantage with a SHOOTING STAR PRESS and just as the referee began the count the bell rang! The referee checked out the reason which allowed Hennig time to recuperate. Hennig regained the advantage and used a HENNIG PLEX to notch the victory. Ringsiders claimed Sherri rang the bell on behalf of Hennig, but amid the confusion this is difficult to confirm.
Falls Count Anywhere!: Sheik b. Bruiser Brody after slamming Brody into a wall after fighting ferociously throughout the arena. Big events occurred in November Pain: injuries, title change, revenge and controversy. Charlie Cox is expected to issue a statement regarding the controversy in the SLAM Title match. As for the other events, it is all a part of the sport!

SLAM hits Buffalo with the first-card in the wake of an awesome November Pain....Matches include a Cruiserweight Battle Royal with the winner facing Jushin Liger for the Fighting Spirit Title, Steve Williams, Don Muraco and Killer Kowalski battle in the fourth and final Round-Robin Series and due to Eddie Fyne's complaint that the new commissioner Charlie Cox treats him like a dog in the spirit of the season Fyne will participate in Dog Collar Match against special guest Santa Wolf!
Delirious won a 10-man Fighting Spirit Battle Royal, earning a title match against Fighting Spirit Wrestling Champion Jushin Liger in the Main Event. Delirious eliminated former FSW Champion Tiger Mask to win the royal and earn the title shot. Other participants included Larry Sweeney, JD Micheals, Mike Dibiase, Ricky Landell, Danny Hodge, Brad Armstrong, Arik Cannon and Mike Quackenbush.
Alofa and Samu (with "Big Chief" Oliver Humperdink) b. SD Jones and Koko Ware when Samu used a deathjump body press to pin Ware.

Dog Collar Match: Santa Wolf b. Eddie Fyne SAVAGE FACE CLAW.
Tag-Team Title Match: Larry Legend and The Mountie (with Ace Orton) b. Champions James Gang to regain the belts! Kip James fought valiantly through injuries suffered at November Pain, but the challengers showed little mercy as "Larry Legend" assisted the Mountie illegally on abdominal stretches and sleepers further injuring Kip. This caused enough distraction for Mountie to pin a weakened Kip following a jab with the SHOCK STICK.
Round-Robin Series IV, 3rd Leg - Dr. Death won Series IV with a DQ win over Don Muraco. Williams says he is not finished with the Magnificent One yet, but will focus on the Final Four Round Robin against Harley Race, Ted Dibiase and Necro Butcher with the winner receiving a SLAM World Title Shot.
Tag-Team Special with Jim Duggan as referee: Naptown Dragons b. Heartbreak Express as Duggan forced all parties to be on their best behavior. Vortekz used a cyclone kick on Phil Davis to notch the win.
Fighting Spirit Champion Jushin Liger b. Delirious with a hanging surfboard. After the match Larry Sweeney and Ricky Landell exacted some revenge on Delirious for their Battle Royal loss with a vicious attack outside the ring. A groggy Liger ran to the aide of his opponent, but damage was already done. Delirious eliminated both Sweeney and Landell from the battle royal.
Things are heating up as we head to the year-closing show in Hartford. The main attraction is the Round-Robin Finals featuring the four series previous winners: Steve Williams, Harley Race, Ted Dibiase and Necro Butcher. One of these men will receive a SLAM World Title Shot at Superbrawl! Can Race or Dibiase recapture past glory or will Williams or the Butcher make their mark? Stay tuned as two title matches are scheduled as well...
Newly Crowned Tag-Team Champions Zbyszko and Mountie defend their belts against the winners of a 10-team Battle Royal and SLAM World Champion Curt Hennig settles the score with Fighting Spirit Champion Jushin Liger in a 15-foot high steel cage! A year ago in Hartford Ted Dibiase captured the SLAM title in a Hartford Cage Match, can Liger do the same? The winner of this match defends the belt against the Round-Robin Champion at Superbrawl! Finally, Charlie Cox continues the spirit of giving with a special Santa Wolf appearance. This time Santa squares off in a Lumberjack Match against the hated Oliver Humperdink! Cox wants to find out which managers have been naughty or nice!

SuperBrawl Rumble: Lethat Lottery at Hamilton, Ont.
Lottery Tag-Team Matches: Ace Orton and Antonio Inoki b. Tiger Mask and Jushin Liger, COR after Orton power-slammed Tiger Mask on the floor.
Rick Rude and Buff Bagwell b. Pepper Gomez and Fritz Von Goehring, DQ as Gomez pushed the referee out of the ring to get to Rude’s manager Bobby Heenan.
Don Muraco and Angelo Mosca b. Hacksaw Duggan and King Kong Bundy, HAWAIIAN HAMMER on Duggan after Bundy walked out on Hacksaw!
Cousin Luke and Ted Dibiase b. Steve Williams and The Crusher, DQ. Doc grabbed away Cousin Luke’s horseshoe from the battling Hillbilly. Luke looked like he was going to use it, surprising since Luke is usually a straight-shooter. However, he has been acting differently lately.
Diamond Dallas Page and Koko B.Ware b. Brad Armstrong and Masked Superstar, Ware stated that without SD Jones dragging him down he is going to make an impact at Superbrawl. Ware was on fire, but it was DDP who used a DIAMOND CUTTER on Brad for the win.
The lineup for the SuperBrawl Rumble: Ace Orton, Antonio Inoki, Rick Rude, Buff Bagwell, Don Muraco, Angelo Mosca, Cousin Luke, Ted Dibiase, Diamond Dallas Page and Koko B. Ware. Sounds like a strong field.
Tag-Team Challenge: The Crusaders returned to their home province to beat the wily journeymen Johnny Rodz and Pretty Boy Sharpe. Lyons used Rapid Fire Dropkicks on Rodz to gain the win.
Ladies Title Match: April Hunter b. Champion Sherri Martel (with SLAM Champion Curt Hennig) to win the title! Hunter used Hennig’s a variant of the HENNIG PLEX to add insult to injury!
World Tag-Team Titles, Best-of-3 Falls: Heavenly Bodies (with Jim Cornette) b. Champions Larry Zbyzsko and Mountie (with Ace Orton) in two falls to win the match, but not the titles. The Mountie was DQ’d in the second fall for using his shock stick after Lane pinned Larry Legend with a SUPERKICK in the opener. The Bodies looked close to winning the belts.
World Heavyweight Championship: Champion Curt Hennig (with Sherri Martel) b. Steve Williams, HENNIG PLEX to retain the belt. Some controversy in this lackluster effort by Dr. Death, but Williams left shoulder may have been off the mat when the referee counted him out. Williams argued as the cameras shown the referee was possibly slightly out of position.
Antonio Inoki won the Superbrawl Rumble last eliminating Diamond Dallas Page. Koko B. Ware made quite the showing as he was one of the last three men in and when he tried to attack both Page and Inoki ended up being dumped to the floor. Antonio Inoki is also granted a World Title Shot in the future.
NOTES: Inoki wins Superbrawl and the ranking as #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Title...Looks like the unlikely feud between Jim Cornette's Heavenly Bodies took a twist against the champions...Sherri Martel had a bittersweet evening, first losing her title and then helping Hennig retain his...Koko Ware looks like there is no turning back on his "attitude adjustment".
SLAM hits Boston next with a Best-of-3 falls rematch between Hennig and Williams, but the winner will not get much of a respite with Inoki waiting in the wings....The 10-men in the Superbrawl find themselves in the ring again as a special elimination tag-team match is the headliner. This has the makings of an explosive encounter....
A special feature: Jushin Liger and Tiger Mask team up for the first time against Johnny Rodz and Larry Sharpe. A few special attraction matches are signed for Beantown: Tag-Team Co-Holder Larry Legend faces Heavenly Body Stan Lane with all the usual suspects supporting them at ringside! Plus, the Heenan Family has its hands full as Ray Stevens faces old rival Pepper Gomez and Crusher continues his vendetta against the family as Masked Superstar provides the opposition.
