RECAP: RVD & Sabu looked impressive in a rematch of the tag-team tournament which was their 1st defense...Sir Oliver Humperdink's new prize One Man Gang, looked tough but needs tougher competition. He gets it in Boston as he is slated to face Jim Duggan!...Danielson & Castignoli match up well, but all their matches spilled into the ringside area. A lumberjack rematch is signed between these two young lions, location TBA...Ted Dibiase was slated to team with a mystery partner to face the champion and his manager Bobby Heenan. The partner's flight was delayed and Dibiase challenged Larry to a non-title match in an effort to regain his title. Dibiase dropped a tough decision for him to swallow and tag-team title co-holder Rob Van Dam moved into the #1 contender spot. Partially due to his New Blood and Tag-Title tournament wins!

RECAP: Ted Dibiase gained a measure of revenge against the Heenan Family by thumping The Mountie…Rob Van Dam was disqualified when Sabu helped Van Dam from Larry Zbyszko exit to the dressing room. Van Dam had the champion on the ropes in a great match… Bobby Heenan brought Curt Hennig back to the Northeast with help from his attorneys. Hennig is allowed back into action as judges deemed the ban is only valid for the SLAM and not WSF. With one fell swoop, the “Perfect One” is back in the title picture!....Pesek & Mosca have had some rugged battles and am sure WSF fans are looking forward to more matches between these two rugged warriors.

RECAP: The CAN-AM Championship battle royal and title match is scheduled for Toronto on the next card. WSF officials will announce the entire field soon. The Toronto Card is headlined with a WSF Championship match fought in Lumberjack Rules: WSF Champion Larry Zbyszko faces Tag-Team Co-Holder Rob Van Dam!...Other matches on the card are determined by order of elimination in the battle royal with the CAN-AM Championship one-fall to-a-finish as the main event!....Van Dam looked sharp in the main event....Duggan and Mosca injure Pesek and Mountie & Heenan injure Dibiase for 4 cards. Dibiase will remain in action and is clamoring for a "special" match against both the Mountie and Heenan!....Street asked for Head and got smacked with it, which led to a SNOW PLOW and pinfall for Al Snow. One Mag Gang dominated Dr. Death and hit the 747, but missed a corner splash and Doc hit a clothesline for the pin. Williams added a "powerful hop" before the clothesline to put a little extra on the Gang in a short, but exciting match.

Other matches of the evening determined by order of elimination in the battle royal D-LO Brown and Red Lyons were the last two survivors of the battle royal and will face off in the Main Event for the CAN-AM Championship, One Fall to A Finish!....Ted Dibiase W, Claudio Castignoli…Mountie W, Angelo Mosca…Adrian Street W, Jim Duggan…Steve Williams W, Al Snow… Bob Roop W, The Sheik…John Pesek W, Bryan Danielson…Lumberjack Match: WSF Tag-Team Co-holder Rob Van Dam W, WSF Champion Larry Zbyszko to win the title! CAN-AM Championship: D-Lo Brown W, Red Lyons to become the first CAN-AM Champion!
NOTES: Two champions crowned in Toronto…D-Lo Brown and Red Lyons gutted out the battle royal and both were fatigued in the main event. Both men traded finishers: Lyons with the SLEEPER HOLD which Brown returned with two LOW-DOWNS to win the title in a short, exciting match…Rob Van Dam won the title in a potential Match of The Year candidate. Both men bled, escaped near falls, and dodged outside interference. Van Dam drew first blood with a chair shot using his feet outside the ring. Zbyszko loosened the corner buckle and rammed the challengers head into the exposed metal at full speed. Van Dam rallied and back-dropped a piledriver then hit the FIVE-STAR SPLASH for the win!

===Special News Bulletin===
Now that the first CAN-AM Champion was crowned in Toronto, the next special competition will begin at the next WSF card in Brantford, Ontario. A special modified round-robin is scheduled where the winner will receive a special trophy and a future title shot.
The tournament is dubbed the "Super Six Challenge" and features: Ted Dibiase, Steve Williams, Diamond Dallas Page, One Man Gang, John Pesek and Bob Roop. Each wrestler will compete in three matches with 2 points earned for a win, 1 point for a time-limit or technical (DQ/COR) draw and 0 points for a loss. A bonus point is earned for every pinfall or submission victory. After three matches the top four point earners advance to the 'Best-of-Three' semifinal bracket with a 'Best-of-Three' Championship final as well.
The first matches: Steve Williams -vs- Bob Roop, Ted Dibiase -vs- John Pesek and DPP -vs- One Man Gang. See you at the matches!

Van Dam states he is not finished with the Heenan Family and is giving Larry Zbyszko his return match in a Steel Cage for November Pain. Van Dam wants to keep the fight one-on-one….One Man Gang had a tough night, struggled with Cousin Luke missing 3 747 Splashes and then dropped a tournament match to DDP...Steve Williams and Bob Roop had a knockdown, drag-out pier 6 brawl that left both bloody. Dr. Death earned three points in the tournament, but it is likely the toughest points someone will earn in the round-robin.
The Super 6 standings after the first phase: Steve Williams, Ted Dibiase and Diamond Dallas Page are tied with 3 points apiece while Bob Roop, John Pesek and One Man Gang at 0 points. Phase two features matches between DDP and Bob Roop, Dr. Death faces John Pesek and One Man Gang versus Ted Dibiase. DDP and Roop will have the only tournament match at November Pain in Philadelphia. WSF officials will post the full lineup in a few days, right in this space!
