What's happenin':
GWF: Shayne survived 2 challenges from Harbinger and Monolith, both resulting in DQ wins for Shayne, and by virtue of the DQ's, queuing up nice rematch possibilities....when suddenly Scion Nexus, coming off an impressive #1 Contender's match win, upset the apple cart and defeated Shayne to capture the GWF World Heavyweight Title once again! It was a good bout, and there will be a rematch rest assured, as Shayne isn't in any hurry to step out of the World Title picture! Scion Nexus continues to build his Hall of Fame credentials, as he is a Triple Crown winner (GWF-IP-Tag) winner in the GWF, with impressive reigns for each title. While he was not the favorite coming into the bout against Shayne, perhaps he should've been; he's been overlooked for some time fans, yet continues to...well....just win.
Another solid feud has emerged between Aegis and Mr. Everything over the IP Title, with Aegis currently holding the strap! There have been 2 bouts between them, and there will be a third to settle all scores! Stay tuned...
WWA: Well, the WWA World Title has become a hot potato once more! The Rock looked to be in firm control and heading for a long title reign when he was upset by Mark Henry in their title rematch! Henry had no sooner settled into the role of World Champ when he was defeated by Antonio Inoki....who subsequently lost in his first defense as champ to "Dr. Death" Steve Williams in a very physical contest! But, perhaps Inoki is the man to restore stability in the World Title scene, as he defeated Williams in the rematch, concluding a solid little 2-match feud!
Another feud is emerging over the St. Louis Title with Sputnik Monroe chasing champ The Sheik...these matches are not for the faint of heart fans!
AAW: Things are relatively stable in AAW, as Y2K had a solid run as champion until finally defeated by TroyBoy, and now "the Boy" has embarked on a solid title reign of his own. He's managed to hold on to the belt at every turn! He has a tough test in front of him with Pride, that match looming on the horizon! TroyBoy has also struck up a feud with Commander Sam (Kronos re-imagined card) that has made the turnstiles turn in AAW arenas...it's a hot rivalry for sure!
That's all for now in the world that is Joint Promotions. Plenty of fun stuff, and angles continue to emerge after every contest! We'll keep you all up to date on the action as it continues!

Shayne drops the strap already?!?! Oh, snap! Don't get comfortable, Scion... Cuz that gold is coming back where it belongs soon enough... LAST ONE STANDING AFTER SHOWDOWN BAY-BAY!
Sputnik vs. The Sheik sounds like it would be a really fun program... Really hope we get the latter online and in full raging color someday... Fingers crossed!

What's happenin': I concluded Season 35 with my annual year-end card, WrestleFest. This was the 14th edition of WrestleFest. Prior to being called its current name, it was named GalactiFest. I changed the name for varoius reasons, and renumbered the events after that, as the card has become somewhat different in nature, with the abundance of Legends now popping up in Joint Promotions, through the WWA. But, I digress. There have been some WrestleFests that have torn down the house, with several matches at 3-stars or better. This...was not one of them. Best match of the card was Vader defeating Inoki for the WWA Heavyweight title, continuing their feud, and it clocked in at 3 stars. The rest of the card was suprisingly pedestrian. Regarding the other 2 World Titles, here's what happened at WrestleFest XIV: *Scion Nexus b. Shayne in a highly anticipated rematch, to remain as World Champ in the GWF! *The Champ b. TroyBoy to capture the AAW World Heavyweight Title! So, Season 35 was in the books after this card, with 2 out of 3 feds with new World Champs! On to Season 36.... SEASON 36:What's happenin': GWF: Scion Nexus had a decent run as World Champ once more, further solidifying his credentials as a HOF'er. He eventually went down to Saber, however, and relinquished his title, Saber of course cheating his way to the belt. Quasar didn't take too kindly to his friend Scion Nexus losing in this fashion, and avenged his defeat by thoroughly beating Saber for the World Title, capturing another GWF belt for both him and the Titans! In the rematch, however, Saber once again used nefarious methods to become GWF champ once more, and the Titan-CTA 102 feud is white hot again! Other feuds include Aegis vs. Mister Centra and Mr. Everything, The Draconian Sheik (using various partners) continuing his war against the Titans, and a new interpromotional feud has broken out between Godsend, Avarice, and the Prince of the Rose vs. David, Kerry, and Kevin Von Erich...this one's proving fun! More on Legends bootlegs at the end of this post! WWA: Vader was off to a solid run in Season 36, defeating Inoki to cap off their feud, and having an early 5-Star MOTYC with Mark Henry that was off the charts! And then...Jack Brisco happened! Brisco defeated Vader for the World strap in a classic battle of speed and agility vs. brawn! Brisco will look towards challenges from the likes of Bob Backlund soon. Vader's run did return some stability to the WWA strap, which was a good thing. In other feuds, the Fabs continue to battle the Moondogs, and Bill Dundee and Tommy Rich are embroiled in a tag feud with Koko Ware and Paul Ellering! Sputnik Monroe also continues to battle the Sheik for the St. Louis belt! AAW: After defeating TroyBoy, and ending his successful reign, the Champ embarked on his own reign with the belt. He got into an interesting feud with Commander Sam, still a top contender, with the fans really torn as to whom to cheer. Sam eventually defeated The Champ for the World strap, although the feud still rages. Infinity got on a very hot streak of his own while this was going on, and was Sam's first opponent as champ. And....well....Commander Sam, we hardly knew you! Infinity managed to defeat Sam and become AAW champion, and now a HUGE grudge match looms with Infinity-Plex! That could be a feud for the ages... All the while, "Showstoppa" Luther Diggs continues to rack up wins, and word has it that he's tired of these Johnny-Come-Lately's having their way in AAW (i.e., all the reimagined COTG characters!). Something tells this intrepid reporter that Diggs....an icon of AAW....will feature prominently in the title plans soon! Also, TroyBoy and Jake Cage (Dale Blomquist's tribute to Stone Cold) are having an outstanding feud, and its heading to a blow off soon! PROMOTER'S NOTE: I had started, and stopped, a legends bootleg promotion, to keep my legends bootlegs and official legends cards separate. In thinking about this again, I may restart that effort, i.e., restarting my legends bootleg fed under the banner of NWA, or something like that, just because it will allow me to use more of the bootlegs, and its that simple. We'll see, subject to change fans! That's it for now! A larger than usual update, but there's a lot going on in Joint Promotions!

What's Happenin': GWF: The GWF World Heavyweight Championship has been a bit of a hot potato as of late! Scion Nexus held the belt where we last left off, and he was defeated by KO Keller. Keller subsequently lost the belt to the Bounty Hunter, who looked like he was going on a bit of a tear....but who then lost the belt back to Scion Nexus. Does anybody want this belt??? Along the way, Scion Nexus and KO Keller had a pretty good feud, with their 2nd match in that series being exceptionally strong. Keller is a heel in my GWF, in a Terry Funk-kind-of-way, and he's a lot of fun to use. He's had a long-standing rivarly with Omega, and is no friend to the Titans either! Well, doing a title tour does lend itself to periods of time like this, where the belt bounces around a bit. But rest assured, someone will eventually go on a decent reign, and stability will be restored...and maybe, just maybe, Scion Nexus is the man to do it, as he continues to add to his HOF career! Another particularly strong feud at the moment is Aegis vs. Mr. Everything over the IP Strap. Their matches have been really fun, with lots of back and forth. Having Aegis hold the secondary strap has been fun, as Aegis routinely contends for the World Title. I like seeing a Main Eventer go on a good run with the secondary strap, just adds prestige to that title. WWA: The WWA World Title has also been a bit of a hot potato....in fact, all of the World belts at the moment have been hot potatoes! After Brisco won the title, he would eventually lose to Nick Bockwinkel (at least I think....don't have my records right in front of me). Bock, who will be managed by Heenan on this run, is looking to restore a little peace and quiet to the WWA World Heavyweight scene! So far Bock has looked strong, with a recent defense against Magnum TA that was pretty one-sided (and didn't require Mr. Heenan's services!). But looming for Bockwinkel is a showdown with his longtime rival Bob Backlund. Bock has usually fared well against Backlund (becoming a real thorn for Backlund, as he routinely beats ol' Bob!), but Backlund's been on a bit of a win streak, so we'll see. If he gets past Backlund, showdowns with looooooonnnng time foes Bobo Brazil and Pepper Gomez are on the horizon... The Sheik is on a bit of a tear himself, now having successfully defended the St. Louis Heavyweight title 7 times! And he's in a donnybrook of a feud against Bob Armstrong, that is headed to a Cage Match blowoff. This will not be a bout for the faint at heart WWA fans! And there's a great tag team feud going on between Koko Ware and Bobby Eaton and Dundee and Rich (as Ware and Eaton just won the straps from Dundee and Rich)...just a great Memphis feel! Also, I do have an indies fed, which I call WGX. It is owned by the WWA, and functions largely like NXT has with WWE in the "real" wrestling world. It's a lot of fun, and I do a title tour with that promotion as well. I want to highlight one great feud, which is occurring over the WGX TV Title, and that's James Jeffries vs. Matty Star. They have traded the TV Title back and forth, and this feud's heading to a blow off soon. The action has been outstanding too, with the matches being a lot of fun to play! Star's becoming a fave, as a really fun heel! AAW: Well, this belt bounced around a bit too, with Commander Sam, Infinity, (I think) Luther Diggs, and "Natural Man" Bobby Roberts (the man with the name so nice, they named him twice! ) holding the top honors, until Dante Giordano (my own bootleg, that is a tribute to Bruno Sammartino) eventually emerged with the belt fastened securely around his waist, defeating Roberts in a bout that I'd hoped would've been better (Roberts is my GWFZ creation, and is a tribute to every blond heel that ever lived! ). Dante is no stranger to being the AAW World Heavyweight Champ, has held the belt before, and is in the upper echelon of past greats in AAW. Still, the level of competition is very stiff in AAW. A showdown looms with future HOF'er The Champ (of GWFZ fame), and while the crowd will be split between these 2 favorites (with a slight nod to Dante, as The Champ can hear some boos!), it's going to be a great bout between these 2 strong men! I was a little disappointed that the feud between Infinity and Infinity-Plex just didn't take off, when Infinity held the belt. But, it'll happen eventually, or, if I want, I can just run it on the undercard and not have it be over the title. That's always a possibility! Julian Stevens (also a GWFZ card) is solidly in control of the International Title (secondary title of the AAW), and had a decent little feud with "Irish" Pat Flanagan (my GWFZ creation, who is a tribute to Pat O'Connor). If Stevens stays hot, he could wind up with a World Title shot, as he's defeating some strong wrestlers. As with all things, we'll see what the dice have in store... I continue to dabble at my NWA, which is my legends bootlegs fed, but don't have a whole lot to post right now on it...and frankly, don't want to post until I'm firmly committed to it! But, its starting to come to life, with Rick Martel (who is having a great feud with Ric Flair) being the face of the promotion at the moment. If I stick with it, will start to post the NWA happenings too! Thanks for reading along folks!

What's Happenin': GWF: The name of the game with this summary is....stability! All 3 feds saw stability at the top, with World Champions emerging with solid reigns in each fed. Scion Nexus continued to show why he's a future HOF'er in the GWF, by going on yet another strong title run. And he wasn't being fed a string of tomato cans, to borrow from the lexicon of boxing. It was top contenders, which was by design, in that I really wanted to put this card to the test (not that it hasn't been tested already, but I wanted to give him a real murder's row of contenders this time!). He took on challengers from the other feds as well, surviving an inter-promotional battle, if memory serves, with Buddy Rogers (and if Rogers had won, yep...he would've been GWF champ!). He also renewed hostilities with GQ Stratus of AAW fame, he himself a future HOF'er. And Paragon stepped up to the plate, only to go down in defeat to this great champion. Nexus finally succumbed to Ventross, who celebrated his first GWF World Championship win. Ventross has looked good to start, defeating Mr. Everything in a 2-match feud. Up next for Ventross will be Endgame, which promises to be a fun bout! Other feuds which continue to simmer include The Henchmen vs. TitanPower over the tag straps, Wolf and Draconian Sheik in a feud that dates back (literally) decades, and Aegis and Mr. Everything still have a score to settle over the IP Title. A great inter-promotional feud continues to rage between the Von Erichs and Godsend, Prince of the Rose, & Avarice! WWA: Nick Bockwinkel is really solidifying his claim to being the best ever in the WWA with yet another lengthy title reign. Now, there are some WWA fans who are arguing that his title reign this time around is being solidly padded by one Bobby Heenan, and the jury is out on that fact. But having come off a defeat of Lou Thesz, which put Bock into double digits on the number of defenses during this title reign....well, our champion is looking pretty darn strong at the moment (although some are claiming that Bock used the ropes to...ahem...augment his Sleeper Hold on the great Thesz in their bout...rematch is coming!). Bockwinkel also holds wins over Memphis greats Bill Dundee and Jerry Lawler, Bob Backlund, as well as a (*****) MOTYC win over the legendary Bruno Sammartino, so he's looking pretty darn impressive! If he can survive Thesz in a rematch, Jack Brisco looms. No rest for the weary fans! Elsewhere in WWA action, the Sheik continues his little reign of terror (with apologies to my good friend TDalton ) defending the St. Louis Championship with wins over lifelong foes Wild Bull Curry and Mark Lewin (I've scrapped...for now...the notion of having a separate fed for LOW bootlegs). Ultimate foe Bobo Brazil is next for the Sheik, who still needs to have that big Cage Match blow-off with Bob Armstrong! And, in the feud that just won't quit in the WWA's developmental fed WGX,Matty Star continues to stymie James Jeffries at every turn (I keep holding what I think is the blow-off match, only to have so much fun with it...I continue!). Will Jeffries ever defeat Star cleanly?? Stay tuned! Other feuds of interest in WGX are Drew Gulak vs. Adam Pearce, and Dalton Castle vs. Zack Sabre, Jr. AAW: In keeping with our stability theme, Dante Giordano (who along with the Champ, "Showstoppa" Luther Diggs, and either Kurt Anderson or Sonny Owens...hey, gotta have honorable mentions! ...comprise the Mount Rushmore of AAW) is on yet another solid title reign of his own, defending the AAW World Heavyweight Title against all comers. Giordano has had 2 Feud of the Year Candidates with great rivalries against the Yellow Rose of Texas, and now Kurt Anderson over who really is "Mr. AAW". The battles with Anderson as of late have been great, and a NO DQ Match is next up for these 2 warriors. They are a contrast in styles to be sure, with the cocky and brash Anderson in one corner, and the working man's hero in Giordano in another, but when they lock up...its magic AAW fans! Other feuds in AAW action right now are Quasar vs. Vanity over the International Title (2 good bouts in!), and the Champ and Commander Sam are having a donnybrook of a feud that originated over the AAW World title, but rages on with neither one of them currently holding the belt. The fans are divided on this one, with both men hearing both cheers and jeers! That's all from my neck of the universe Joint Promotions fans! The action was plenty hot over the Thanksgiving weekend for sure!

Sheik vs Bullet Bob in a cage sounds fun. Star vs Jeffries is a match I still need to run. Aegis against Everything is another.

Always great to see some consistent title reigns... I find it helps to improve the overall prestige of the title itself... And congratulations to Ventross (Ravagers are awesome!) on his first time winning the GWF World Championship... Interested to see how long he holds onto that belt.
The neverending feud between Matty Star and James Jeffries prompted me to check my own IPW records... And I discovered that these two have not yet faced each other in singles competition... Something I will have to remedy at some point... They have met in a tag team match and a four-on-four Team Survivor Challenge with each man winding up on the winning side of one of these contests.
Always enjoy your updates, my friend... A truly innovative way to play that allows you to get the most from everything FG has to offer... Good times!

Appreciate the feedback Pariah and Troy! I don't know what it is, but there is magic in those Star and Jeffries cards. It's 3 *'s at least, each time they lock up. This last match I was thinking would end it, but these 2 cards never fail to entertain. And, with Jeffries still not able to topple Star from his perch as WGX TV Champion, well, it lends itself to a fun chase-the-title scenario for the hero Jeffries!
