World Championship Wrestlingw/Gordon and Good 'ol JR Jim Ross opened the show and talked about the big main event involving Savage and Piper versus Orndorff and another member of the Bobby Heenan Family later tonight with a world title match at stake. Gordon turned attention to the other big match NWA champ Paul Orndorff was involved in last week when he traveled to Memphis to face southern heavyweight champion Austin Idol, also mentioning the heinous post match attack the champion perpetrated on Randy Savage's brother, Lanny Poffo on that same show. Randy Savage and Roddy Piper came out to comment. Savage said Orndorff was a marked man before, but it's personal now. He said trying to humiliate him by attacking his brother in Memphis is going to backfire like Orndorff can't even imagine. Piper said he noticed "Boobsy The Weasal" is playing coy not telling anyone which member of the Heenan Family is teaming up with Paul tonight, but it doesn't matter because he's beaten both Race and Rude before and he'll do it again tonight and earn a world title shot. That got Savage hot and Randy said he will be the one who pins Orndorff, Rude, or Race and get HIS world title back. NWA Junior Heavyweight champion Dynamite Kid (w/Cornette) beat Mike Jackson.Kid really beat up Jackson here, with Mike getting in just token offense. Kid finally decided to pin his opponent after a hooking clothesline. After the match Gordon spoke with Kid and Cornette. Jim started in with his manic routine, but Kid cut him off. Dynamite said he's the junior heavyweight champion and should be in high profile matches elevating the title even standing with the heavyweight belt, but instead he's opening the show against a nobody or doing Cornette's bidding at ringside for the Midnight Express. Cornette tried to talk, but Kid cut him off again. He said things had better change soon or he will take drastic measures to make them change. The Samoan Savages (w/Humperdink) won by disqualification over Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle.A nice back and forth match, hard fought on both sides. After about ten minutes it went to the floor. Afa Jr tried to hit Sarge with a chair, but Slaughter kicked him and took control of the weapon. He hit Afa Jr instead and the referee chose to disqualify the fan favorite duo. Jim Ross welcomed manager Precious Paul Ellering to the interview area. Paul said people seem to have forgotten a little tournament that was held some time back, pitting the greatest tag team in the NWA against each other to determine the best. The finals had the Road Warriors against Steve Williams and Terry Gordy. He asked Jim how that ended and Ross admitted that the Road Warriors were victorious. Paul said exactly and now Gordy and Williams have the audacity to walk around with the world tag team titles the Warriors never rightfully lost. He said that all changes soon because Hawk and Animal are on their way back from Japan and they are bringing hell with them. Hugh Morrus (w/Kevin Sullivan) pinned Ox Baker after interference.Ox's win streak has come to an end thanks to the evil Gamemaster. In the end Sullivan got on the apron as Hugh had the referee distracted. He hit Ox with the dreaded golden spike and Ox went down hard. Morrus used NO LAUGHING MATTER to secure the pin. Bobby Heenan and Paul Orndorff talked with JR and Gordon. Heenan said Savage and Piper are falling right into their trap, just as he knew they would. He said they are both overly emotional and that causes them to make stupid mistakes. Mistakes just like Jerry Brisco made when he got in Harley Race's business last week. Heenan said Race is about to take care of Brisco next just like Paul and his partner are going to take care of Piper and Savage. Ross assumed that means Rick Rude is teaming up with Paul tonight. Mr Wonderful said Ross shouldn't make assumptions, because you know what they say: when you makes assumptions you make an ass out of you and umption. Ross asked what that even means, to which Paul replied "exactly" and told JR it doesn't matter if it's that big fish in the little pond Austin Idol, punk Piper, or the beaten ex-champ Savage, nobody can stop the world title reign of Mr Wonderful. Paul told Heenan they were leaving and the two exited the area. Jerry Brisco won by countout over Harley Race.Fantastic match, with Brisco working the leg and Harley just beating him down every chance he could. Race could not get the pin no matter what he did. Finally Brisco moved out of the way as Harley charged the corner and Race went up and over the top rope to the arena floor. The frustrated Race picked himself up off the floor, waved it off, and walked to the back, much to the dismay of the waiting Brisco. Main event time, as Roddy Piper and Randy Savage were introduced first. Bobby Heenan came out and took the mic to introduce the world champion Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff and the newest member of the Bobby Heenan Family, King Kong Bundy.World champ Paul Orndorff and King Kong Bundy won by disqualification over Randy Savage and Roddy Piper. The story here was mostly Randy squaring off with Orndorff and Piper going toe to toe with Bundy. Nobody really got the upper hand as they went on for twelve or so minutes. Finally Piper got frustrated that he could not down Bundy no matter what and hit him with the ring bell on the arena floor, causing the disqualification. Heenan hastily gathered his men and rushed to the back as Savage was beyond mad and yelled at Piper. Piper was frustrated with himself at first and attempted to apologize until Savage shoved him in the chest. Then Piper fired up and went off on Savage in a verbal assault. The two went nose to nose until the referee and members of security stepped in to separate them as the show went off the air.

NWA Pro Wrestlingthe Omni, Atlanta, GA Mike Rotunda beat Cuban Assassin with the AIRPLANE SPIN. The Cuban wasn't on top of his game here. Mike picked him apart and got the win inside of four minutes.
King Kong Bundy pinned Cowboy Scott Casey. Casey gave it his all, but Bundy could not be denied and got the pin with the AVALANCHE in about seven minutes.
Hugh Morrus hates me and beat Ox Baker again. This card is intent on ruining my Ox Baker push, as he used NO LAUGHING MATTER to pin Ox again. It took about eight minutes and was a good match, but Hugh please stop ruining my plans.
Sgt Slaughter beat Sefa Fatu. A tremendous match. Fatu looked strong as he used a urinage on the apron and had Sarge in serious trouble. Slaughter came back and got the win with the dreaded COBRA CLUTCH.
Wahoo McDaniel won by disqualification over One Man Gang. What a war. Gang and Wahoo did battle for over ten minutes. It went to the floor, as it's want to do, and Gang lost when he used brought down a steel folding chair on the head of the chief. Gang was going in for the kill when Ox Baker came out and chased him away.
Midnight Express (w/goofy Jimmy C) won by countout over The Fantastics. The Fantastics, or Bobby in particular, were not too fantastics on this night. The Express attacked at the bell and did not let up. The Fantastics had a few brief moments but it was over in about five minutes when Eaton took out Fulton on the floor with a swinging neckbreaker and Fulton could not return to the ring.
Macho Man Randy Savage beat Ravishing Rick Rude. This one got personal when Rude beat Randy's brother in Memphis. The early minutes were all Rude, who nearly got the pin at the four minute mark. Randy fought back and got the pin in about twelve minutes with the FLYING ELBOW.

World Championship Wrestlingw/Jim Ross and Gordon Solie JR and Gordon opened the show and announced the main event of Thunderbolt Patterson and Jerry Brisco versus Harley Race and Rick Rude. Then they were joined by Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express. Gordon asked about Dynamite Kid expressing his frustrations last week. JC said it was a momentary hiccup and everything is fine in camp Cornette. He said big matches are coming for Kid and The Express are destined for the tag team titles. JR asked about his thoughts on the impending return of the Road Warriors. Corny said they can come and if they do the Midnight Express will kick them all the way back to Japan. Paul Ellering appeared and said that sounds like a challenge. Cornette told him that if The Road Warriors were here tonight it would be an appearance they'd regret for the rest of their careers. Ellering laughed like a maniac and Hawk and Animal hit the ring. Corny tried to backpedal, but Bill Watts entered the scene and said as far as he's concerned they just made and oral contract and his men had better get in the ring. The Road Warriors (w/Paul Ellering) beat the Midnight Express (w/Jim C) in a tag team classic.Bobby and Dennis tried their best to back up their manager's big mouth. They went back and forth with the Warriors for about twelve minutes but in the end Animal hit a POWER SLAM on Dennis for the pin. After the match Ellering and THe Road Warriors spoke with JR. Ellering said the Road Warriors are officially here to handle business and win back the tag team titles they never lost. Hawk warned that Bobby and Dennis were first but not last on their path to Williams and Gordy. Animal finished up by adding that they are all going to pay The Road Warriors way. Missing Link (w/Kevin Sullivan) defeated Sam Houston.Sam fought the good fight, but Link head butted him into oblivion and got the pin as Sullivan barked orders from ringside. After the match Gordon talked with Sullivan and his Dungeon Of Doom: Missing Link, One Man Gang, and Hugh Morrus. Sullivan had warnings for Ox Baker, Wahoo McDaniel, and everyone else who may try to stop the Dungeon. Gordon asked about the soon to return Big Van Vader. Sullivan said he has a special surprise waiting for Vader. Ranger Ross pinned Rip Rogers after the COMBAT KICK.Pretty good match. Rip nearly got the pin, but in the end Ross pulled it out. Bobby Heenan and King Kong Bundy joined JR and Gordon. Bobby was cackling with delight about how his plan worked to perfection last week and Savage and Piper are a couple of morons. After talking about his own brilliance, the unstoppable title reign of Paul Orndorff, and the "condominium with legs" that is King Kong Bundy, he led his man to the ring. King Kong Bundy beat Rocky Kernodle after the ATLANTIC CITY AVALANCHE. Rocky hung in there for a few minutes, but in the end Bundy got the five count pin and the victory. After the bell Rowdy Roddy Piper ran out and blasted Bundy over the head with the US title belt. Bobby led his man away from the ring while Piper grabbed the mic. Piper said "Shamu" and him have business to finish later but right now it's time for Piper's Pit and to clear the air with Macho Man Randy Savage. Savage appeared and Piper told him he knows he is still upset, but Piper WAS sorry last week. Was. Until Randy put his hands on him, then he wasn't sorry any more. Randy said he doesn't care how Roddy feels, he cost Randy Savage a rematch for the world title. Randy said Roddy doesn't care because he has a title, but maybe he won't have it much longer. Roddy dropped the US belt between them and told Randy he could come for it any time he wants, but he better be man enough to take it. The two went nose to nose as the show went to commercial.Harley Race and Rick Rude (w/Bobby Heenan) beat Thunderbolt Patterson and Jerry Brisco.Tremendous main event. In the end Race pinned Brisco after a hard back suplex, but it easily could have gone either way. After the bell T-bolt sent the fans home happy with head butts to Race and Rude to clear the ring.

NWA Pro WrestlingTulsa, OK Mike Rotunda pinned The Spoiler. This was like a main event worthy opener. After about ten minutes Spoiler locked in his BIONIC CLAW. Mike fought out and ended up turning the tables and getting the pin after the AIRPLANE SPIN. After the match Spoiler attacked Rotunda, but Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle came out to make the save. Sarge and Don stayed in the ring for the next match. The Samoan Savages (w/Oliver Humperdink) won by disqualification over Don Kernodle and Sgt Slaughter....again.Really great tag team match. The Samoans worked over Don early, wearing him down with nerve holds and hard slams. Don fought back and tagged Sarge, who came in fired up. The action raged on for several minutes until it ended up on the floor again. This time Don got his team disqualified by hitting Samu with the ring bell hammer. Sefa Fatu ran out to attack Sarge and Don, then Rotunda came out to even the sides. The two factions brawled to the back. Hugh Morrus pinned Ox Baker and pretty much ruined the Ox Baker experiment. Yeah, Hugh just has his number. It looks like Sullivan will be able to brag about running his former charge out of the NWA soon. They had a good match, but The Laughing Man just has Ox's number and got the pin with his version of the moonsault.
The Road Warriors (w/Paul Ellering) beat Big Bully Busick and Frank Dalton. Bully started strong, but after a couple of minutes it was all over as Hawk and Animal took control and got the win after the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
Rowdy Roddy Piper won by disqualification over King Kong Bundy (w/Bobby Heenan). Bundy had Piper in real trouble after about five minutes, but Piper fought back. After some more fighting Roddy locked in the SLEEPER. Heenan ran in and attacked Roddy from behind to break the hold, and got a beating for his efforts.

World Championship Wrestlingw/Gordon and JR Gordon and JR were joined straight away by Austin Idol. Idol said he heard Heenan bragging about Ordorff's title reign last week, but fans recall a few weeks ago when Paul went down to Memphis and couldn't stop Idolmania and got himself disqualified. JR concurred and they showed footage of that. GOrdon said Paul has nowhere to run this week because Austin Idol is getting a world title match TONIGHT! The crowd went wild as they went to the ring for the opening match. Wahoo McDaniel beat Maha Singh. Not a hold to be seen here, as they chopped and clubbed away at each other in a brawl until Wahoo got the pin after a TOMAHAWK CHOP. Sgt Slaughter, Don Kernodle, and Mike Rotunda came out for an interview with Gordon. Sarge talked about how Rotunda helped them out against the Samoans in Tulsa and now they've taken the All AMerican out of Syracuse under their wing. Tonight they face the Samoans in a six man tag. Mike began to speak, but Oliver Humperdink came out to run his mouth and make threats against the trio. THis was a setup for his Samoans to attack from behind, but Kernodle saw them coming and gave his partners the heads up. A brawl ensued, with Sarge's team coming out on top. As Sarge fought Sefa Fatu on the outside, Kernodle brawled with Samu in the interview area, and ROtunda threw Afa Jr into the ring to start the match. Slaughter, Kernodle, and Rotuna beat The Samoans in a ONE MOVE MATCH!Mike tossed Afa Jr into the ring and immediately used the AIRPLANE SPIN for the shocking pin. NWA world tag team champions Steve Williams and Terry Gordy were interviewed by JR. Williams said the Road Warriors think they can come in and steamroll everyone, but they forgot that Williams and Gordy don't lay down for anyone. Gordy said the Rock N Roll Express found out that nobody beats them twice, and the Warriors will learn the same thing. JR thanked them for their time and announced the upcoming match with junior heavyweight title match implications. Brad Armstrong pinned Pirata Morgan.Brad came in hot and Morgan could not answer. He survived a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP, but Brad pinned him after a thunderous knee lift. World champ Paul Orndorff and Bobby Heenan came out to talk. Heenan said Idol is a fool and he's about to find out that nobody messes with the Heenan Family and gets out in one piece. Heenan warned Piper to pay attention, because he's next. Paul said Idol survived on a fluke in Memphis because Paul lost his temper, but with the title on the line he's more focused than ever and everyone will see the most dominant wrestler in the game today. The Fantastics won by disqualification over Midnight Express (w/Jim C) Great match. In the end, Bobby Fulton went for the pin on Dennis but Corny came in with the tennis racquet to bust up the pin as Eaton was coming in to break up the pin hmself. After the match the Express were visibly upset with Cornette and were arguing with him to the back.
Paul Orndorff beat Austin Idol to defend the NWA world title. Idol started strong and was working the leg to try to slap on the Las Vegas Leglock, but Paul would not let him get the hold. They went back and forth for a good ten minutes in a very solid match, but Orndorff kicked it into high gear planted Idol with the PILEDRIVER for the pin.

NWA Pro WrestlingDothan, AL Alabama Jr Heavyweight champion Mike Jackson pinned Thunderfoot. It was all coming up Jackson from the opening bell, as Mike pinned Mr Foot inside of four minutes after a flying dropkick.
Cuban Assassin (w/Fantasy) won by disqualification over Tiger Conway Jr. Fidel showed up with his valet for the first time here, and it made the difference. Late in the match the action went to the floor. Fantasy tried to hit Conway with the Cuban flag, he grabbed it away, and hit the Cuban with it to get disqualified in yet another version of my "explain how the good guy got disqualified thanks to the out of the ring chart" finishes.
Mike Rontunda pinned Afa Jr after an AIRPLANE SPIN. He may be "Rotundo" on the card, but he's "Rotunda" here because it's the NWA. Afa Jr had him in trouble, but the All American out of Syracuse made a big comeback to get the pin and continue to build momentum.
The Fantastics beat Missing Link and One Man Gang. This one went down surprisingly as I'd hoped. Gang and Link tossed around the smaller opponents most of the match, but the teamwork of the Fantastics pulled them through in the end as Bobby Fulton pinned Link after the ROCKET LAUNCHER.
King Kong Bundy got the five count on Sam Houston. Buffer match here before the double main event. Bundy pretty much dominated with short bursts from Houston.
Kevin Sullivan pinned Wahoo McDaniel in a no disqualification match. The rules, or lack thereof, favored Sullivan as he used his foreign object (add 1, disq 4) liberally and without fear of disqualification. They battled for a good ten minutes, but Kevin got the pin after a PILEDRIVER.
Thunderbolt Patterson went to a double countout with Harley Race. The ring could not contain the heated rivals this time. After several minutes of battling in the ring, they spilled to the floor. Neither man headed the referee's instructions and they fought down the aisle for the double countout.

World Championship WrestlingWith JR and Gordon Solie JR and Gordon opened the show and spoke about two huge titles matches that would take place, as The Fantastics challenge Williams and Gordy and Dynamite Kid puts the junior heavyweight title on the line against Brad Armstrong and a big main event pitting Rick Rude against Randy Savage. Kevin Sullivan and his Dungeon Of Doom: Maha Singh, One Man Gang, and Hugh Morrus appeared on the scene to make everyone nervous. Gordon asked about the absence of Missing Link, but Sullivan quickly dismissed him by telling him it's none of his business. Sullivan said Ox Baker has failed to figure out the enigma that is Hugh Morrus, this past week in Dothan, Alabama Wahoo McDaniel learned not to cross the Gamemaster when there are no rules to be broken, and soon Big Van Vader will come back and face his fear when he is broken down and eventually beaten by the newest members of the Dungeon Of Doom, Haku and The Barbarian, The Faces Of Fear. With that said, Haku hit the ring for the opening match. Haku demolished Keith Steinborn. Haku systematically broke down Keith en route to an easy pin after his KICK OF DOOM.The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering spoke to JR. ELlering said the Fantastics want to be tag team champions, but they may regret getting what they want because the Road Warriors want their belts back. Hawk said he doesn't care if it's the Fantastics or Doc and Gordy because the bones will break and the checks will clear either way. Animal finished by saying he wants Doc and Gordy one more time to prove who the real most dominant team in the world is. The Road Warriors beat The Mulkey Brothers. Exactly as you'd expect the match to go, Hawk and Animal hit the ring, beat up the Mulkeys, and won inside of two minutes when Hawk pinned Bill.Jim Cornette grabbed the mic and started to introduce Dynamite Kid, but Kid took it away from him. Cornette was stunned as Kid explained that Jim's services were no longer needed and as far as he was concerned the manager was guilty of negligence and is annoying besides. Cornette tried to stand up to him and called out his Midnight Express for backup. Bobby and Dennis came out, but stood with Dynamite instead. Cornette's jaw dropped as Dennis told him they agree with Kid and Cornette can get out of the ring before they take him out. Bobby just stood by looking the other way as Cornette slinked away. Brad Armstrong won by disqualification over Dynamite in a Junior heavyweight title match.Brad was on his game for this one. They went back and forth and Kid could just not put him away for a three count. The frustrated champ took him to the floor and got disqualified for giving Brad a reverse piledriver on the floor. Brad had to be stretchered away. Steve Williams and Terry Gordy beat The Fantastics to defend the world tag team championship. The Fantastics came within inches of getting the win on a few occasions, but Williams and Gordy used their size and strength to overwhelm and get the win when Gordy locked in an STF on an exhausted Rogers to get the victory. After the match the champions put the boots to the challengers until Hawk and Animal rushed out for the save. They fought all over the place and back to the locker rooms with neither team gaining a clear advantage. US Champion Rowdy Roddy Piper hosted world champion Paul Orndorff in Piper's Pit. Piper said he wasn't looking for any trouble, but he is looking to establish a few things. For one, if Orndorff has the guts to put the title on the line against another champion to see who the better man really is. Paul said everyone can see with their own eyes who is Wonderful and who is just a creep in a skirt. Piper corrected him that it's a kilt and said that answers his question because Orndorff is more interested in running his mouth than backing it up. Bobby Heenan ran out to stop Paul, saying Piper is just trying to goad him into accepting a match, but Piper has to go through the championship committee for that. An angry Randy Savage entered the scene and confronted Piper. He said he knew Roddy couldn't be trusted and is only interested in looking out for himself. Savage said he should get the next title shot and the two went nose to nose again as Heenan led Orndorff away. Piper told Savage he should focus on the ring because he's got a match coming up. Savage turned to head to the ring, but was jumped halfway there by Rick Rude. Ravishing Rick Rude beat the distracted Randy Savage with an assist by Bobby Heenan.Yet another great main event. They tore into each other for ten minutes with neither man able to get a near fall. Finally Savage went to the top rope, but Heenan slid Rude a foreign object. Rude blasted Savage with it as he came down for an axe handle smash and went for the cover. Savage kicked out just before the three count and fought his way back into the match. However, he was still hurting from the illegal blow and fell to the RUDE AWAKENING a few minutes later. The show went off the air with Bobby Heenan boasting to Jim Ross and Gordon that nobody can stop the Heenan Family and only a fool would keep trying.

NWA Pro Wrestling
Chicago, IL Jerry Brisco beat Bob Cook. A nice showcase match for the former junior heavyweight champ as he worked on the leg of the larger opponent and got the win with the FIGURE FOUR in about five minutes.
Rip Rogers and Cuban Assassin defeated The Mulkey Brothers. Rip and Fidel beat up the hapless Mulkeys and won when Rip used his signature DDT on Bill for the pin.
The Barbarian (w/Haku) pinned Sam Houston after the KICK OF FEAR. Yes, I reworked the card slightly to make him more Dungeon Of Doom approved. SO it was the KICK OF FEAR that took down Sam in a good re-debut for Barbarian in his new role.
The Samoan Savages (w/Oliver Humperdink) beat Slaughter and Kernodle when Afa Jr pinned Sarge. A big win for the Samoans over the former tag team champions. Very good match, but Sarge fell to a quick pin after the TOP ROPE SPLASH.
Chief Wahoo McDaniel pinned Hugh Morrus. Hugh wasn't laughing after this one. Another great brawl as the Chief continues to battle the Dungeon Of Doom. In the end Wahoo got the victory after a FALLING CHOP.
Harley Race pinned Thunderbolt Patterson after a back suplex. Another great war between the heated rivals. This time Harley scored the pin after a back suplex a bridge in about ten minutes.
King Kong Bundy won by disqualification over US champ Roddy Piper. Bundy had Piper locked in a bear hug when Rod pulled the old knuckle dusters and blasted Bundy to break the hold. The referee actually caught it this time and dq'd Hot Rod to the fans dismay.

World Championship Wrestlingw/Jim Ross and Gordon Solie JR and Gordon opened the show talking about what went down between Piper and Savage and world champion Paul Orndorff last week. They were joined by Bobby Heenan and King Kong Bundy. Bobby said Piper runs his mouth real good, but when it's time to defend that US title he just runs. Bundy said last weekend in Chicago he had Piper beat and Roddy got himself disqualified to save his title. But it's not going to happen tonight because there's nowhere left to run. Boddy said Piper won't get a title shot with the greatest NWA champion of all time, Mr Wonderful and he won't leave here tonight with the US title either. Dennis Condrey (w/Dynamite Kid) beat Ranger Ross. One half of the Midnight Express showed he's just as dangerous in singles action as he beat Ranger Ross in about four minutes after a shoulder power slam. After the match Dynamite went to the top rope and Dennis assisted with a ROCKET LAUNCHER style top rope head butt. THe duo spoke with Gordon after that. Gordon was disgusted by the display of unsportsmanlike conduct and noted that Bobby Eaton was unusually absent. Dennis told him Bobby was just having travel issues but he can handle business just fine on his own. Dynamite concurred and said without the dead weight of a loudmouth manager nobody is prepared for the amount of damage caused by the combined forces of Dynamite Kid and The Midnight Express. Rip Rogers and Cuban Assassin went to a double countout with Sam Houston and Scott Casey.Neither team gave an inch and both gave their all in this one. Back and forth action for over ten minutes that heated up to a brawl at the end when all four men fought on the outside and did not meet the referee's ten count. Gordon interviewed Mike Rotunda ahead of his match with Sefa Fatu. Gordon noted how Mike is moving up the ranks and really establishing himself by helping Slaughter and Kernodle in their feud with the Samoans. Sefa attacked ROtunda and threw him into the ring, but Rotunda recovered and took over at the start of the match. Mike Rotunda beat Sefa Fatu (w/Humperdink) after the AIRPLANE SPIN. Not a long match here as Mike scored the surprise win in about three minutes. Jim Ross spoke with Thunderbolt Patterson. They talked about how T-bolt's heated rivalry with Harley Race shows no sign of letting up and T-bolt said it's only heating up because he won't stop until one of them is done here. He said there's a big event coming to the Omni soon and he wants a match with Race to settle it once and for all, no disqualifications and no excuses. Patterson wondered if Race was man enough for the challenge, clearly goading his adversary. Wahoo McDaniel and Ox Baker won by disqualification over Kevin Sullivan and One Man Gang.Ox got a little momentum back, looking strong in his team with Wahoo. In the end of this wild brawl Sullivan got caught using a foreign object on Wahoo and got disqualified. Ox ran in to make the save and chase away the evil duo. Macho Man Randy Savage spoke to JR and Gordon ahead of the main event. He was still hot about Roddy Piper trying to "steal his title shot" last week and said he's not going to put up with it much longer. Roddy Piper came out and said he has business with Bundy now, but if Savage keeps calling Roddy' name he's going to have to pay the Piper. Savage was done with words and pie faced Roddy. Roddy looked away, paused, and attacked Savage. The brawled all the way down to the ring as referees tried to pull them apart. ROddy rolled into the ring and right into the attack of Bundy to start the match. King Kong Bundy (w/Bobby Heenan) beat Roddy Piper to win the US title. Even after the way the match started Roddy still nearly defended the belt. He had Bundy in trouble but couldn't get the pin on a bulldog. Bundy came back and downed Piper with the AVALANCHE for the pin.
The show ended on a downer again as Bobby Heenan and Bundy celebrated the win. Bobby told JR that these idiots keep costing each other wins while the Bobby Heenan Family becomes the most dominant force in wrestling. FIrst Paul Orndorff became the greatest champion in NWA history and now King Kong Bundy is the US champion. Heenan said there's a big event coming to Atlanta and there isn't anyone in the NWA worth challenging his champions so the NWA might as well cancel the whole thing and make Paul Orndorff and King Kong Bundy permanent champions.
