NWA Pro WrestlingPhiladelphia, PA Haku (w/Barbarian) pinned Rocky Kernodle.Rocky ducked and dodged early and tried to make something happen, but Haku beat him down and got the pin in about four minutes. Danny Doring and Roadkill beat the Blue World Order (Big Stevie Cool and Da Blue Guy).A pair of teams from the local NWA affiliate here. bWo did their schtick, but in the end Doring caught Blue Guy with a superkick and got the surprise pin inside of five minutes. Between matches ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta announced special guest and soon to be returning to the NWA, Superfly Jimmy Snuka. Snuka came out to a good ovation and was seated at ringside. Dynamite Kid pinned Tommy Rogers to defend the NWA Junior Heavyweight title.Good match here with Kid scoring the pin after a "tombstone" piledriver. Sgt Slaughter beat Samu with the COBRA CLUTCH.Samu made him work for it, but Sarge got the win inside of ten minutes with the Clutch. The Road Warriors (w/Paul Ellergin) beat Cuban Assassin and Rip Rogers. Not real suspenseful. RIp and Fidel tried, but got overwhelmed and beaten in about five minutes. Before the main event could get underway, Franchise Shane Douglas stormed the ring and took the mic from GMC. He said the "big national show" stormed into town and threw the locals a bone by putting four of our own in a throwaway match. But all they wanted was the clown show and not the main event. Douglas said there's no doubt who should be getting a title shot against Paul Orndorff, and it should be the Franchise. Douglas threatened to hijack the show and not leave the ring until he gets what he wants. Superfly Snuka got up from his seat and got in the ring. He said Douglas is being disrespectful and he needs to leave. Douglas told him to "make me". Snuka got wide eyed and sid the referee better ring the bell. The two began to trade blows and an unsanctioned match was underway. Superfly Snuka "beat" Shane Douglas in an unsanctioned match. They fought hard for several minutes until SUperfly finally hit his SUPERFLY SPLASH for the visual pin (which the referee did not count as the match was not official).
Ravishing Rick Rude pinned Macho Man Randy Savage. THis was not the revenge match Savage and the fans hoped for, but it was excellent anyway. In the end Rude hit the RUDE AWAKENING for a two count. Unfazed he picked Savage up and did it again for the pin.

World Championship Wrestlingw/Jim Ross and Gordon Solie JR and Gordon opened the show talking about the big main event tonight featuring the Road Warriors and The Samoans. They were once again interrupted by Bobby The Brain Heenan, along with world champion Paul Orndorff, US Champ King Kong Bundy, Rick Rude, and Harley Race. Bobby said the people are looking at the greatest group ever assembled in his Bobby Heenan Family and it's about to get even better. That's because the lynchpin Nick Bockwinkel is back and he'll be teaming with Harley Race to win the tag team championship and bring ALL of the gold to the Heenan Family. Nick came out and said he's glad to be back, but he heard Paul Orndorff called the greatest world champion ever last week and that seems a bit premature. He compared his credentials to Orndorff and Heenan tried to redirect to the tag team titles. Nick said "that's cute, but nobody discussed that with me first". Orndorff chimed in and said Bock is old news and he'd better learn his place and fall in line. Nick smirked and said "indeed, I will" and walked away. Harley Race pinned George South with the FISHERMAN SUPLEX.Race has forsaken using he piledriver in deference to the world champ. SOuth put up some fight, but Race won with relative ease inside of three minutes. After the match Race spoke with Gordon. He said Bockwinkel will come around and together they will be unstoppable as a tag team. But first there's the business of Thunderbolt Patterson and the upcoming supercard at the Omni. He said he accepts the challenge of a no disqualification match and he looks forward to settling business. Jerry Brisco (w/Thunderbolt Patterson) beat Mr X via FIGURE FOUR.The masked man couldn't get anything going and lost by submission in an uneventful match. T-bolt and Brisco talked to JR after the match. BOlt said the deal is done and at the Omni he settles it with Harley Race once and for all. Brisco talked about the Dynamite Kid and the junior title. Brad Armstrong came out and said he intends to get revenge on Kid for dropping him on his head on the floor a few weeks ago when he takes that junior title and he hopes a competitor like Brisco will be one of his first contenders. Jerry warned him that he nearly got his neck broke a few weeks back and he's coming back too soon. Brad just said he knows what he's doing and headed for the ring. Rip Rogers beat the injured Brad Armstrong. Brad did not in fact know what he was doing, as Rip found and opening and got the pin after an inverted atomic drop and jackknife pin. Nick Bockwinkel came out to talk to JR and Gordon. He said he heard that he's supposed to "fall in line" and he needs to know his place in this new Heenan Family dynamic. BUt all he sees is followers and no equals. Orndorff is not a champion, but a musclebound flunkie who can't control his emotions without Heenan telling him what to think. So he went to talk to commissioner Bill Watts and he found his place. And his place as former world champion is calling in his automatic title shot and challenging Paul Orndorff at the Omni in Atlanta on the upcoming big event. THen Bobby and everyone else can see what a real world champion looks like. Maha Singh was set to face Keith Steinborn when Big Van Vader made a surprise appearance, threw Keith out of the ring, and took the match for himself. Big Van Vader beat Maha Singh (w/Kevin SUllivan).Singh didn't stand a chance as the returning Vader made quick work and won with a bone crunching splash. Sullivan motioned to the back and Haku and Barbarian ran out to attack Vader. Vader held his own until the numbers caught up to him. He was hit by KICK OF DOOM by Haku and stumbled into the KICK OF FEAR by Barbarian to finally fall. Referees and security stepped in to get the DUngeon Of Doom out of the ring. An angry Big Van Vader grabbed the mic from GOrdon. He said he wants the Faces Of Fear two on one at the Omni and the promoters had better make it happen. In Piper's Pit, Roddy Piper called out Randy Savage. He said there wasn't going to be any beating around the bush tonight. Randy cost him the US title as far as he's concerned and his jealousy and stupidity can't go unchecked. He challenged Savage to a one time match at the Omni to get things clear and to establish who belongs where in the pecking order so they can get on with the business of running Heenan and his dysfunctional family out of the NWA. Savage said Piper can make all the excuses he wants, but if he wasn't trying to steal world title matches from him none of this would have happened. He said he'd be glad to meet him at the Omni and decide things for good. The Road Warriors beat The Samoans when Hawk pinned Samu. The Warriors dominated early, but a few timely pin saves kept the Samoans in business. They had their comeback and put the Warriors in jeopardy but they made the comeback and Hawk pinned Samu after the DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Bobby Heenan came out to implore Nick BOckwinkel to reconsider. Nick said he has no intentions of doing anything of the sort and Heenan needs to remember who the "greatest world champion of all time" really is. He said Bock was being stupid and he needs to get his head on straight and understand the way things are now. Nick told Bobby to bring his flunky paper champion to the Omni and they'l find out how things really are.

NWA Pro WrestlingMobile, AL Hustler Rip Rogers upset Jerry Brisco.Brisco and Rogers went back and forth for over ten minutes until Rip hit his finisher for the surprise pin. The Spoiler crushed Tiger Conway Jr.Spoiler attacked at the bell and won in about a minute after a powerful elbow drop. Chief Wahoo McDaniel beat Hugh Morrus. The Laughing Man took it to the Chief early, but Wahoo fought back and won with a FALLING CHOP. After the match Kevin Sullivan attacked Wahoo. Hugh recovered and joined in on the beating until security could restore order. Wahoo had to be helped to the back and appeared to be injured. The Fantastics beat Dennis Condrey and Dynamite Kid (substituting for Bobby Eaton). Eaton continues to be a no-show after the split from Jimmy C, and this time it cost his side the win. Dennis and Kid looked good as a team but could not overcome the experience of the Fantastics as Fulton and Rogers got the win in about twelve minutes after the ROCKET LAUNCHER on Dennis.
Macho Man Randy Savage beat Ravishing Rick Rude in a steel cage match. Rude wore the crimson mask by the time this brutal cage match was over, but it still took everything Randy had and TWO FLYING ELBOW SMASHES to put away Rude in this epic cage match.

World Championship Wrestlingw/Gordon and JR JR opened the show talking about the big event coming to the Omni and the world title match between former champion and Bobby Heenan charge Nick Bockwinkel and current world champ and Heenan Family member Paul Orndorff. Gordon talked about the grudge match between Piper and Savage and said Savage would be in the main event tonight against The Spoiler. Ox Baker demolished Cuban Assassin.Ox got the jump at the bell and dominated the match en route to winning with the HEART PUNCH. After the match OX talked to Gordon. He said the fans are still behind him and he's not done yet. He admitted Hugh Morrus had his number so far because Sullivan has coached him well, but Ox has a few new tricks up his sleeve and he'll show them at The Omni when he meets Hugh Morrus in a finisher match. Gordon clarified that means the only way for either man to win is by using their signature move for the pin, either the Heart Punch of No Laughing Matter. Ox said the Great Heart Puncher is going to make sure Hugh Morrus isn't laughing in the end. The Samoan Savages beat Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle by disqualification...again...again.Same story, different match. Sarge and Don were in control, they brawled on the floor, the ref disqualified the good guys when Don hit Humperdink. After the match Sarge and Don spoke to JR. Sarge said he's starting to smell collusion between this referee and Oliver HUmperdink and he wants there to be no doubt who the other team is. He challenged the Samoans to meet them here next time in the first ever steel cage match on World Championship Wrestling. After the break JR and Gordon welcomed The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering. Paul talked about the tag team title match coming up at the Omni and how they beat Doc and Gordy once in the big tag team tournament and they'll do it again for the titles. Doc and Gordy came out and Doc said the tournament is the past and this is now and if the Warriors want to go right now, they can do it here and don't have to wait. Commissioner Bill Watts ran out and put a stop to that, but said if they wanted to pick a representative from each team they can go one on one right now and get it out of their systems. Gordy spoke up right away and Hawk jumped in for his side. They headed to the ring and the fight was underway. Terry Gordy beat Road Warrior Hawk after help from Steve Williams.Slobber knocker! These two beat the crap out of each other until the match went to the floor. The referee was distracted trying to pull a chair out of Gordy's hands and missed WIlliams flooring Hawk with a lariat to the back of the head on the outside. He tossed Hawk back into the ring and Gordy got the win. After the match Gordy and Williams tried to injure Hawk but were stopped by Animal and Ellering. Hawk recovered and there was yet again a big brawl between the teams. JR welcomed Dynamite Kid to the interview area. He talked about the match in Mobile where Dynamite substituted for Bobby Eaton against the Fantastics and asked where Bobby had been. Dynamite said Bobby Eaton no longer matters and the Fantastics had better prepare to face the REAL Midnight Express, Dennis Condrey and Randy Rose. Dynamite declared that their reign of terror is just beginning and it will only get worse from here for everyone who dares to face them. Midnight Express (Rose and Condrey) beat The Fantastics in a certified barn burner. This one went so long I was about to call if a time limit draw. The Express benefited from two timely pin saves and came all the way back to win when Rose pinned Fulton after the DOUBLE GOOZLE. World champion Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff and Bobby Heenan came out to talk about the Omni. Heenan began, but Paul cut him off. He said Bockwinkel is the past and he thinks he can run with the future but he's going to get stomped into oblivion in Atlanta. Paul was furious that Nick called him a lackey and a muscle head. He said Heenan does his job as a manager but in the ring it's all Mr Wonderful and Nick Bockwinkel will find out that he never should have double crossed Bobby Heenan. Heenan finished by saying he's disgusted at the lack of gratitude Nick Bockwinkel has shown him. He said Nick should get on his knees and thank Bobby Heenan for carrying him to the world title and be glad he was allowed back in the new and improved Heenan Family. Instead he'll be beaten and left on the scrap heap of irrelevance. Macho Man Randy Savage beat The Spoiler after the FLYING ELBOW. Spoiler did not go down easy and gave Savage some tense moments after several near falls, but Randy rallied back and got the pin in a good main event. Roddy Piper showed up after the match. He got in the ring and surprised Randy. Randy cocked his fists ready for a fight, but Piper extended his hand for a handshake. Randy did not fall for that, as Roddy had the other hand behind his back with a pair of brass knuckles. Roddy smirked and pulled the other hand from behind his back. Roddy wished Randy good luck and said he's going to need it.

NWA Pro WrestlingNorfolk, VA Hustler Rip Rogers pinned Mike Jackson.Jackson gave Rip a hard time, but in the end Rogers won in convincing fashion after an atomic drop and rollup for the pin. The Professionals (Joe Malenko and Mark Fleming) beat The Roughnecks (Frank Dalton and Big Bully Busick). The new team of Fleming and Malenko looked impressive, wearing Dalton down with their superior technical skills before Fleming finished him off with the STF. After the match there was some friction between Busick and Dalton as Bully was mad Dalton didn't even manage to tag him into the match. Dalton tried to blow it off, but Bully turned him around and gave him a heart punch before walking away. Haku (w/Kevin Sullivan) defeated Scott Casey. Before the match referee Morgan Dollar ordered Sullivan to the back to prevent outside interference. It didn't matter, as Casey gave Haku a tough match but in the end it was the KICK OF DOOM and a pin for the Haku victory. King Kong Bundy (w/Bobby Heenan) beat Mike Rotunda to defend the US title.Rotunda has been on a roll lately, earning the first shot at Bundy's US title. He gave it all he had and pushed BUndy to the limit, but in the end it was an assist from Heenan followed by the AVALANCHE to give Bundy the win. Bundy was still antagonizing the fans in the aisle seats as Wahoo McDaniel was making his way to the ring for the main event. Wahoo told Bundy to beat it, but Bundy balked and blocked Wahoo's way to the ring. Heenan told "Squahoo" he'd better send up a smoke signal for some help. Instead Wahoo chopped away at Bundy until he knocked him flat on his backside in the aisle. Heenan tried to help his man to his feet as Wahoo stepped around him and went to the ring. Chief Wahoo McDaniel defeated Kevin Sullivan in a no disqualification match. Wahoo was on the lookout for any funny business tonight as he made sure SUllivan didn't pull any of his tricks (or weapons) en route to gaining the victory in around eight minutes after a FALLING CHOP and pin.

The Big EventThe Omni, Atlanta, GA Maniac Matt Borne (w/Dynamite Kid) demolished George South.Borne made his debut and the fans were surprised to see Dynamite Kid with him. Borne tore into South at the bell and won with ease inside of three minutes. Ox Baker beat Hugh Morrus in a no disqualification match. It was looking bad for Ox again after about eight minutes, but Ox powered out of NO LAUGHING MATTER and went on to use the HEART PUNCH for the win. After the match Haku and Barbarian came out to attack Ox. Vader ran out and made the save. Ox grabbed the mic and told Vader he's the biggest force in pro wrestling, but he doesn't have to fight alone. He wanted to make the scheduled handicap match a tag team match instead and take on the Faces Of Fear. Vader said he fears no man and he feels no pain, but he'll take Ox's offer so Baker can get some more revenge on the Dungeon Of Doom, too. Big Van Vader and Ox Baker beat Faces Of Fear when Vader pinned Haku. Vader let Ox stand in the corner most of the match and didn't tag. However, Ox played a critical role with a pin save after KICK OF FEAR. Vader fought on and made the pin on Haku after the POWER BOMB as Ox brawled with Barabarian.
Harley Race beat Thunderbolt Patterson in an Atlanta Street Fight. Atlanta Street Fight is a creative renaming of the Texas Death Match. But we're not in Texas, so there you go. They fought like savages until Race clocked Patterson with the ring bell and got the pin.
Macho Man Randy Savage won by disqualification over Rowdy Roddy Piper. Big time match with action from bell to bell. The brawl ended up on the floor, and Piper grabbed a steel chair. He hesitated for a moment, but Savage got to his feet and spit on Piper, challenging him to "do it". Piper obliged and the referee had no choice but to disqualify.
The Road Warriors (w/Paul Ellering) beat Steve Williams and Terry Gordy to win the tag team championship. A+ title match that could have gone either way. In the end, after about twelve minutes of action, it was the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Gordy to give the Warriors the tag team titles for a second time.
Nick Bockwinkel won by disqualification over Paul Orndorff (w/Bobby Heenan) in a world title match. The fans left somewhat disappointed as Nick controlled most of the match but came up short of reclaiming the world title. Heenan saved Orndorff in the end when he (after already using the Heenan interference chart to slide Orndorff a foreign object earlier in the match) jumped in to stomp Bockwinkel to break the FIGURE FOUR.

World Championship Wrestlingw/Gordon Solie and Jim Ross JR and Gordon opened the show recapping the events of the big event at the Omni, talking about the the Road Warriors becoming tag team champions once again, the shocking ending to the Roddy Piper and Randy Savage match, and Nick Bockwinkel winning the match but not the title against Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff. Gordon pivoted to talking up the first ever cage match on World Championship Wrestling coming later when Sarge and Don Kernodle take on the Samoans. But first, a new team on the scene, Joe Malenko and Mark Fleming, The Professionals. The Professionals beat Thunderfoot and Bob Cook when Joe Malenko pinned Cook with the NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX.They are not exciting, but they are professional. Malenko and Fleming used their technical wrestling prowess to dismantle Cook and Thunderfoot in about five minutes. Gordon Solie interviewed Nick Bockwinkel. Nick said he should have expected no less than Bobby Heenan stepping in to save his world title at the Omni, and he means it's Bobby's title and Paul Orndorff is just the in-ring puppet carrying it. He said Paul is a great athlete, but he's not a thinker and he's a hot head. Bobby is pulling his strings, which is something he could never do with Nick Bockwinkel. Nick finished by saying when the championship committee grants him his rematch he will have a plan in place to neutralize Bobby and make sure the world title is elevated to the status it deserves around the waist of the greatest wrestler on the planet. Maniac Matt Borne (w/Dynamite Kid) smashed Hard Luck Manny Villalobos.Manny could not catch a break, living up to his moniker, as Borne lived up to his attacking like a Maniac and finishing with the CANNONBALL JUMP. Rip Rogers talked to Gordon and JR. He said he has beaten every junior heavyweight in his path and he deserves a shot at the title. Dynamite Kid and Matt Borne cam over to talk with him. Kid asked if Rip has seen what happened to everyone who has crossed his path, and that was before he added the Maniac to the fold. Rip thought for a moment, said he gets the message, shook Dynamite's hand, and left. Dynamite took over the interview time and said he, the Maniac, and the Midnight Express are taking over and they will crush anyone who gets in their way. Dynamite and Borne left and Gordon brought out Chief Wahoo McDaniel. Wahoo talked about his run in with King Kong Bundy in Norfolk. He said Bundy tried to throw his weight around and ended up on his backside because of it. He warned that the Chief is not to be taken lightly and Bundy holding the US title is a bad joke he intends to put to an end as soon as possible. Harley Race defeated Jerry Brisco with the FISHERMAN'S SUPLEX.This was an excellent match, but Race used his size advantage to wear out Brisco and get the win inside of twelve minutes. After the match Race spoke with JR. He said he's the only representative of the Bobby Heenan Family here tonight because they are regrouping after The Omni and deciding how to cement their position as the premier group in all of pro wrestling. Race warned that this means coming after two more pieces of gold, and that's the world tag team championship. He said the Road Warriors are big and bad, and Ellering is an evil mastermind, but Race is itching for a title belt around his waist and that means they are in his sights. After the break, Kevin Sullivan appeared in the ring and began taunting and calling out Big Van Vader. He said Vader had Ox Baker on his side at the Omni, but nobody is here to save him now against the walking weapon that is the ONE MAN GANG. Vader stormed the ring and grabbed Sullivan by the throat, but was immediately jumped from behind by Gang to get the match underway. Big Van Vader pinned One Man Gang after the VADER BOMB.It's not looking good for the Dungeon Of Doom, as Vader continues to run through the ranks on his way to revenge against Sullivan. Gang controlled the early moments of the match, but Vader came back and put him away in a hard hitting match. Gordon and JR talked about the running feud between Slaughter and Kernodle and the Samoans led by Sir Oliver Humperdink and showed a highlight reel as the cage was set up for the main event. Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle beat The Samoan Savages (Samu and Afa Jr) in a steel cage match. The Samons gave Sarge and Don some real tense moments in this violent and bloody cage match. None of these guys has a real good cage rating, so it could have gone either way. The finish saw Slaughter hit the Slaughter Cannon off the top rope on Samu for the pin as Don kept Afa Jr away and Sir Oliver looked on helplessly from ringside.
