Mother Nature made sure the Tigers would be the last undefeated team this year. Bless you boys.

Tigers are 5-0 and 3 of those wins came in extra innings.

Well, our good luck ran out. Our offense could not do anything in the second game of the double header as we scored just one run. We still had a chance to win as our pitchers had a no-hitter going through 7 innings but ended up giving up 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to lose. Still not bad. We start the season 5-1 all on the road and swept a division team. I will take 5 of 6 on the road all season long.

What do you do if you get your first loss of the season and want to avoid a losing streak? Why you invite the Oakland A's into town for your home opener of course. Skubal as cruising through 5 innings as he had not given up a run for his second game on the season. He got roughed up a bit in the 6th and 7th allowing the A's to tie it up. But we came back and won another one run game. Partly thanks to our awesome bullpen who went 2 2/3 innings with no runs, 1 hit, 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. The bullpen kind of cost us our first loss but in reality, I put that on our offense who only put up one run yesterday.

How rude. We invite the A's into our home and they beat us 4-0. It is starting to look like the Tigers are the opposite of the Lions. Good D but horrible offense. We need to get some of our hitters, especially the young prospects that we drafted high, to get going. Pitching has covered for poor hitting in a few games to pick up the W, but it cannot do it forever.

I never like seeing a player getting injured, well with a few exceptions, but in general no. Tough break for Cleveland that their ace starting pitcher Shane Bieber who has been lights out in his first two starts this season has to have Tommy Johns. It is a good break for the Tigers, not gonna lie, but still feel bad for him and his team.

What is that on my sweatshirt? Oh, it's mom's spaghetti. Guess it is time to snap back to reality. The Tigers are not good after all. I mean we go on the road and go 5-1 then come home to face the A's and go 1-2 and almost went 0-3. Seriously, what in the name of the Blue Blazzer is going on? Oh yea, we have no offense and signed a pair of veterans starting pitchers who have not shown much in their careers to be our 2 and 3 in the rotation. These first 9 games are an example of the roller-coaster season we have to look forward to this season. 2024 Tigers are brought to you by Cedar Point and King's Island.

Here is how my luck goes sometimes. The Tigers are in Tampa for the only time this season. I am usually off Monday and Tuesdays so could have gone to one or two of their games. But this week due to the NFL draft, I took Thursday off, and a coworker needing today off I am working all three days the Tigers are in town. Tonight, they are just cruising along as I watch the game on TV. It is the Tampa broadcast, and I can hear loud cheers every time the Tigers do something good as the crowd is small as it usually is for Tampa's games and a lot of Tiger fans are there. C'est la vie.

25 games into the season and we have a better record than the Dodgers. Lmao
