Better hit .500 today, because the next 9 won't be easy.

Couple tough losses this weekend. Losing the game today when we were so close to the sweep. However, winning 2 of 3 is good. Then we lost Olson to IL. Hopefully it is not too bad, and we get him back sometime soon. In other bad IL news, Carpenter was transferred to the 60-day IL. I was hoping he was close to returning but it does not look like it. Man, we could use his bat right now.

Yesterday, the Mud Hens lost 10-3. Rumor has it that Tork discovered East Toledo (AKA the hood) and has been stumbling from bar to bar on Starr Ave. (the "Las Vegas Strip" of East Toledo). He met a woman named Trixie and now resides at a crack house. Poor guy had the whole world in his hands and pissed it away. East Toledo will do that to you, LOL.

Eh, too early for me to do that. I know they are not going to make playoffs but they are still in the hunt and weirder things have happened. They are 4 games ahead of last years pace which would put them at .500 at end of the season. They are at least a bit interesting thanks to a few players and not being too far back like the White Sox. By the way, you forgot the Wings. They should have made the playoffs last year and they will this year.

Who currently has the best record in MLB in July? The Detroit Tigers

I know the current buzz is the Tigers might trade one or even two of their starting pitchers, but I wonder if they can afford to do that. Especially with Olson on the IL. I mean we just completed a 4-game series in Cleveland, and we had to use the bullpen for two of those games. Pretty sure we did that another time in last week or so. If we do not have anyone in the farm system ready to move up, we could end up using the bullpen every 3 to 5 games. Not sure that would be a good idea, even if we are out of the playoff race.

I was thinking if we do trade one of our pitchers it would be cool if we could talk that team into taking Javier Baez off our hands. Then he goes and starts hitting a HR in every game he is playing in. Only one hit a game in the last three but each hit was a HR. Crazy.
