Honestly steal from the NFL, everyone is so afraid now a days to borrow ideas. Its America, melting pot of ideas. Entering the draft your champions should be locked they cant be drafted just because the network asks for someone. Second give the commissioner some franchise tags. You get all your champs and you get to franchise tag say a guy, a girl and a tag team. Everyone else eligible in draft. How hard would it be to make it a keeper draft?? You could use weeks or months of build up booking matches where winning means you could be protected while losing means you go into the draft. The drama and suspense would be intense. I picture behind the scenes collusion with RAW officials secrecy trying to recruit wrestlers from SD and vice versa. Maybe one guy intentionally begins tanking hoping to be put into the draft pool. Other guys go on improbable streaks desperate to be protected in the keeper picks. The storylines are endless. I don’t recall anyone ever actively seeking to stay or leave for the other brand. What difference does it make?

What difference does it make? I just may use this, thanks! It sure would make some interesting storylines! Hope that's okay, Rob? Anyway, my Kronos Draft is coming up very soon, and I do want to look into the FRANCHISE TAG thing some more. Not sure if I will go with this idea though. I do have the Dimension X set, and ordered Classics 3000, so maybe one or two guys from there may show up for the Kronos Draft! As for the WWE Draft, yeah you would think it would be more organized and well-planned, but I guess not. Later! Todd C WTIC

Xia Li in the 3rd round huh? I think Bob Quinn might be working for SD now.

I thought RAW last night was horrible after the Becky entrance to start the show which was good. There was no reason for Marilyn Manson and Bianca to come out. Went way downhill after that.
I hate how they waste so much time setting up matches for the same night. Charlotte vs Bianca and the Dawgs vs Big E and Drew couldn’t be booked before hand? Are no matches ever booked before hand? Kayfabe wise this makes little sense. Such a waste of time and opportunity for others.
And the draft itself...my goodness. Minus 850 stars. Just terrible and clunky in every way. You have 2 RAW reps standing at a split podium and the one on the SD side is super excited every time she announces a pick? What the hell kind of authority character is happy to lose talent? I could go on and on. Damien Priest just standing there smiling nodding his head in approval after being “drafted” to RAW? I get more excited taking a dump than these guys do getting drafted. Just terrible acting.
I do like the Usos and Becky a lot more than I used to. Another women’s main event - at least time this one had worthy wrestlers on it - but RAW looks like the same show it’s been for awhile.

Excited for Halloween Havoc. Crown Jewel was really good. SD (and the replay) were apparently both very good, too. RAW was pretty good. Hopefully they can keep it going.

No one gets perfect winning streaks anymore unfortunately.

Just terrible acting. I know I'm a few weeks late on commenting on this but you have some really good points. I had to chime in. Really, really good point about how some shows feel like there needs to be a reason for every match on the card so they cram a set-up into that very same show. As you say, it makes zero sense kayfabe-wise. Like the bookers show up to the arena each week with half a show booked. By the end of the night their just thankful the wrestlers picked a fight with someone backstage so it filled up their show. Wrestling is supposed to be presented as a sport... with a lot of extra drama surrounding everything. The MLB commissioner doesn't start the season without all his games scheduled. It would make way more sense for a match to be booked and a wrestler to go make it more personal or something. OR to accept that it's OK for matches to simply happen for the sake of the "sport." About the draft... it's just such a silly tool that they use to move wrestlers from one show to the other. The entire thing feels completely pointless. It doesn't even make much sense for the wrestlers unless WWE is willing to admit that one brand is lower on their totem pole than the other or if there is some sort of financials involved. Why would a wrestler care whether they wrestle on a Monday or a Friday? The draft just becomes this thing to mix things up and then it's forgotten until the next year... or the next time they decide to do a draft. Are there trades happening back and forth throughout the year? What are the two brands competing with each other for? Very little is thought about from a logical perspective and the average viewer may not pick up on all of it but if more things were thought about with this level of detail, it would make for a much more engaging viewing experience.

Ya they did it again this past Monday - on the kick off show for a new era too, making it even more silly. I guess they didn’t have a main event booked for their big show. Who says the wrestlers don’t have creative control when they routinely book themselves into title opportunities simply by coming out to the ring.

I didn’t stick around for the main event (Owens is so stale) but everything I saw up to that including the ladies fatal 5 way and the 24/7 title action were both great.
The show seemed more up flow and high energy than usual. Not a fan of Adam Pearce tho. Why does he care if RAW wins? And why is he even there? Shouldn’t he be injured? Small stuff but enough to complain about.
