Live Road Show from the Boston Garden, Boston, MA
Angelo Poffo vs Mad Dog Vachon - Poffo owns the Mad Dog in a disapointing showing by the new guy.
Danny McShain vs Mick McManus - The Londoner gave veteran tough guy McShain everything he could handle in his second bout, looking nothting like the passive kid he looked like in his debut. McManus levelled the Texan with a running forearm, and wrapped him up for the pin.
Rod Fenton vs Billy Varga - In an interesting preview of the impending tag tournament semi, Fenton and Varga squared off in a solo bout. The match was an entertaining back and forth competition. As both men wore down, the fight was taken oustide the ring, where Fenton was able to get the upper hand. He then dragged Varga back inside for the coup du gras dropkick.
Al Costello vs Lou Thesz - In an odd, controversial showing, Lou Thesz agreed to take a warmup bout before his title challenge. Without either Heffernan or Berry on hand, Costello and Thesz would got quite disagreeable with each other, and it bubbled over into a full-on brawl outside the ring, and up the aisle. In the heat of the action, Thesz shoved Costello over the barrier and into the crowd. The ref had no choice but to end the match by disqualification, before the situation became dangerous.
El Santo vs Don Leo Jonathan - Our Main Event tonight at The Garden features two high ranked contenders, the former champ from Mexico, and the dangerous big man from Utah. The match would not disappoint, easily the match of the night, as the headliner should be. Again and again, the smaller Santo took down the Giant Jonathan, saving the best for last, pummelling the big man with a series of scoop slams, then completing the pin.

GWA Wrestling Showcase, on The Dumont Network
Bull Curry vs Red Berry - Tonight's card starts off with a straight up street fight. Bull and Red swapped punches, kicks, chokes and cheats. Red would show off some grappling skill, finishing off Curry with a nasty Gilligan Twist. BERRY WINS BY SUBMISSION
Stu Hart vs Gory Guerrero - A pair of veteran grapplers gave the fans a good show, as Guerrero went toe to toe with Stu Hart. The match went back and forth, with both men seeming to take control at one time or another. It would be Stu Hart who would seize the opportunity, catching the unwarry Guerrero suddenly with his sugar hold. HART PINS GUERRERO
Yukon Eric vs Jim Londos - A classic pairing of power versus athleticism. On this occasion, it would be the agile grappler, Londos, who was able to outmaneuver the big Cannuck, locking on a grinding armbar, and twisting it into a pinning combination. LONDOS PINS ERIC
Tag Team Title Tournament Semifinal - The Luchadors, Black Shadow and Blue Demon vs The Outback Raiders, Al Costello & Roy Heffernan - It's the semifinals. Tonight's contest pairs two technical teams, the Luchadors and the Outback Raiders. The Demon and the Shadow would use their quickness and agility, and rapid tags to keep the Aussies on their heels, but Heffernan and Costello would employ punishing doubleteams to deal real damage. They'd exhibit that with a crushing boomerang to cap it and earn the trip to the finals. HEFFERNAN PINS SHADOW
The Sheik vs Freddie Blassie - The war marches on. Tonight's headliner is the latest battle between hated rivals Freddie Blassie and The Sheik. This one would be as vicious, dirty, and bloody as anticipated. Most of the action was executed by Blassie. Most of the blood would be The Sheik's. After beating his foe to a bloody mess, he'd finish him off with a neckbreaker. BLASSIE PINS SHEIK

Fritz Von Goering vs The Crusher - Von Goering dominated from the opening bell, closing it out with a violent knee drop to The Crusher's throat.
Tag Team Tournament Semifinal - The Hollywood Stars, Freddie Blassie and Billy Varga vs Rod Fenton and Stu Hart - The Cannucks managed to make a match out of it, but it would be Freddie Blassie clearing house, eventually putting Fenton away with a neckbreaker. The final is set, The Outback Raiders vs The Hollywood Stars for the Tag Team belts!
Maurice Tillet vs Chief Don Eagle - The French Angel administered a vicious beating, both inside and then outside of the ring. The ref stepped in trying to restore some sense of order, only to get flung into the seats by Tillet. Once he got to his feet, the ref ended the match.
Johnny Valentine vs Danny McShain - The headliner of the evening proved to be the match of the night. Valentine and McShain went back and forth in a fast paced, brutal yet entertaining contest. Valentine would eventually connect with a Skullcrusher to put McShain away.

GWA Wrestling Showcase, on The Dumont Networko
Black Shadow vs Angelo Poffo - The agile Luchador would prove to be too much for the prodding brawler Poffo on thos occasion. The Shadow finished it off in style, leaping from the turnbuckle to land a diving body block. SHADOW PINS POFFO
Gory Guerrero vs Lord James Blears - The proper Englishman performs impressively yet again, and just might be a contender. Tonight, he handled the capable Guerrero, putting him away with his Oxford Leg Strangle. BLEARS WINS BY SUBMISSION
Antonino Rocca vs Gorgeous George - One of the great athletes in the GWA, Antonino Rocca, put on an impressive exhibition against the normally showy Gorgeous George. Despite the efforts of Bob Hope, the ref witnessed Rocca's wicked neckbreaker, and proceded to deliver the three count. ROCCA PINS GEORGE
El Santo vs Verne Gagne - In a clash of top contenders, it would be the hero of Hidalgo whose hand would be raised after an entertaining match. The masked Mexican felled the big Minnesotan with a pair of scoop slams, and finished him off with a double arm bar pinning combo. SANTO PINS GAGNE
GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - Lou Thesz vs Bronko Nagurski - The World Champion Nagurski took to the ring to face a familliar foe, top contender Lou Thesz. He would not be familiar with the challenge Thesz would pose this time around. It became apparent before long that the belt was indeed in jeopardy, as Thesz controlled the tempo, and most of the action from the opening bell. After kicking out of one Thesz press, Nagurski found himself on his back after a second. His shoulders were still on the mat as the ref counted three. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE WINNER AND NEW GWA WORLD CHAMPION, LOU THESZ

Fenton & Hart vs Poffo & Dibiase - The Canadians handle the Italian Crew in a well fought match. Stu Hart pins Dibiase after a double hook suplex.

The Sheik vs Mad Dog Vachon - In a wild brawl both inside and outside of the ring, The Sheik comes out on top, submitting Vachon with a Camel Clutch
Killer Kowalski vs Buddy Rogers - In the main event of the night, and match of the night, the Killer proves to be too much for Buddy Rogers to handle, falling victim to Kowalski's claw.

GWA Wrestling Showcase, on The Dumont Network
Bull Curry vs The Blue Demon - The Luchador opens the match with a flourish, but can't manage to pin the wild man. Curry eventually is able to take the fight to the Mexican, outside and then inside the ring, and delivers a vicious left to the chin to down his opponent and secure the three count. CURRY PINS DEMON
Jim Londos vs The Crusher - Another good back and forth contest is next, as the veteran grappler Londos squares off with the Milwaukee tough guy. The Crusher softens up Londos with a crushing bearhug before decking him with a series of bolo punches. CRUSHER PINS LONDOS
Johnny Valentine vs Fritz Von Goering - We could be seeing a star on the rise yet. Johnny Valentine continues his streak of impressive performances in dominating his match against the imposing Von Goering. Valentine was able to thwart any attacks by the Teutonic terror, ultimately finishing it off with a Southern Skullcrusher. VALENTINE PINS VON GOERING.
Don Leo Jonathan vs Yukon Eric - Two mammoth men collide in the squared circle, as Don Leo Jonathan meets Yukon Eric. The larger man, Jonathan, shows his athletic side, as he proves too quick and agile again and again for the plodding Eric. Jonathan exhibits his power as well, tossing the man from the Yukon via his Mormon Swing, and scores the pinfall. JONATHAN PINS ERIC
GWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL - The Outback Raiders, Al Costello and Roy Heffernan (with Red Berry) vs The Hollywood Stars, Freddie Blassie and Billy Varga - Both teams execute their gameplans with quick strike moves and quick tags, with neither managing much of an edge. The fight is taken outside to the ring apron with all four men involved. The skirmish is broken up, and the two legal men are separated by the ref and ushered back to the ring. It's Blassie who is the first in, and is able to pounce on Heffernan as he enters, locking on a wicked abdominal claw. Before Berry and Costello can react, the match is over, and the Raiders are upset! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE WINNERS AND GWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, FREDDIE BLASSIE AND BILLY VARGA, THE HOLLYWOOD STARS!
