Live Road Show, from Olympia Stadium, Detroit, MI
Verne Gagne vs Red Berry - We start off tonight's card with a predictable warm up squash of a match. Gagne was never really threatened, and managed to grapple Berry to the mat without relying on his sleeper.
Roy Heffernan vs Billy Varga (why not stir up some bad feelings on the heels of the Tag Title bout) - In a match predictably sullied by interference from both sides, Heffernan would eventually outlast Varga.
Black Shadow and Blue Demon vs Bully Curry and Mad Dog Vachon - In a classic conflict of styles, the luchadors more than handled their own against the brawlers.
Angelo Poffo vs El Santo - Poffo's recent run of success garnered him a shot at the top tier, in the form of former champion El Santo. The Hero of Hidalgo controlled most of the match, outclassing Poffo, and gaining the pin.
Rod Fenton vs Bronko Nagurski (The former champ's first appearance since losing the belt) - Bronko would recover from his loss to Thesz by fending off a formidable effort from Rod Fenton.

After an extended hiatus, we're back, baby!
GWA Wrestling Showcase, on The Dumont Network
Chief Don Eagle vs Don Leo Jonathan - The outsized Don Eagle took charge from the opening bell, and relentlessly attacked the giant Jonathan. Don Leo gamely fought back, but was unable to put together any real offensive. EAGLE PINS JONATHAN
Gorgeous George vs Stu Hart - The Gorgeous One went toe to toe with the Canadian toughguy. The two exchanged moves and strikes for several minutes. Hart eventually managed to wear George down, and bound him up in a sugar hold to secure the win. HART WINS BY SUBMISSION
We're here with GWA World Champion Lou Thesz. We're here to announce that the competition committee has chosen Johnny Valentine to challenge for the belt next week here at the Hammerstein Ballroom on the GWA Wrestling Showcase. Lou - "You're a lucky guy, Johnny. You are the recipient of a master class in professional wrestling tactics. The bad news is, you will also be the recipient of a nasty beating in front of a live television audience."
Gory Guererro vs The Sheik - This one predictably devolved into a brawl. After it poured out of the ring, the ref struggled to get between them as the Sheik pulled out his trusty spike. The ref called for the bell, awarding the match to Guererro. GUERERRO WINS BY DQ
Buddy Rogers vs Danny McShain - Over their time in the GWA, both Rogers and McShain have shown flashes of brilliance, but have yet to put it together. This time around, it would be all Rogers. He'd take the fight to the mat, and dominate the action from there. Rogers locked on his infamous figure four leglock, and it was over. ROGERS WINS BY SUBMISSION
Lord James Blears vs Antonino Rocca - In a main event pairing of upstart contenders, The English Gentleman Blears takes on the Argentine Adonis, Rocca. The match proves worthy of it's billing, as the contest goes back and forth. Blears would stun Rocca with a sudden and wicked Ferris Wheel kick, and secured the pin. BLEARS PINS ROCCA

Live Road Show, from the St. Louis Arena, St. Louis, MO
The Crusher vs Bull Curry - In a brutal brawl, mostly controlled by Bull Curry, Curry is disqualified by the ref after splitting The Crusher open and knocking him out with a shot to the face with his infamous brass knucles.
Red Berry vs Billy Varga - Berry's been talking ever since his Outback Raiders lost out on the tag titles. Varga vowed to put him in his place, and took full advantage of his opportunity. Varga managed to fling Berry out of the ring, then came leaping down from the ring apron, connecting with a knee to the head. Berry was unable to return to the ring before the ref finished counting.
Mad Dog Vachon vs The Blue Demon - The athletic high flying Luchador was more than the plodding Vachon could handle on this occasion, succumbing to a pin after the Demon launched himself onto a prone Vachon with a beautiful swandive over the ropes.
Killer Kowalski vs Al Costello - Kowalski served notice to the rest of the GWA that he's a force to be reckoned with at the expense of an overmatched Costello. A crushing shoulderbreaker from Kowalski was the final exclamation point.
Maurice Tillet vs Antonino Rocca - The French Angel presents a unique physical challenge. Tonight, Rocca was unable to take down the veteran. Tillet's power won out, finishing off Rocca with a withering bearhug.

GWA WRESTLING SHOWCASE on the DuMont Network :
Mick McManus vs Mike DiBiase - In a pairing of tough-luck rookies, it's the Brit who seizes the opportunity, as McManus makes surprisingly quick work of DiBiase. MCMANUS PINS DIBIASE
The Sheik vs Rod Fenton - In what was anticipated to be an ugly messy fight, The Sheik ups he bet, ushering a new level of violence onto the unwary Fenton, who was a bloody mess by the time this one was over. SHEIK PINS FENTON
El Santo vs Jim Londos - The former champion reminds us all that he's still got to be considered a top contender for the belt. The veteran Londos put up a game effort, but this was Santo's night from the start. The masked man clamps on La De A Caballo to punctuate it. SANTO WINS BY SUBMISSION
Verne Gagne vs Gorgeous George - Our next match features another contender, Verne Gagne, against the capable and caustic Gorgeous George. The Gorgeous One is competitive, but Gagne manages to perfectly execute a sensational flying head scissors to finish it off. GAGNE PINS GEORGE
Johnny Valentine vs Lou Thesz for the GWA World Championship Title - The champ starts off the match with what looks like the beating he promised young Valentine. Johnny proves to be a worthy opponent, as the champ is unable to put him on his back. The onslaught continues, as Thesz sends Valentine crashing into the turnbuckle. As he moves in to administer even more damage, Valentine suddenly springs at the champ, levelling him with a wicked clothesline, and pounces for the pin. Thesz is stunned, the crowd is stunned, the announcers are stunned, but we have a new Champion, Johnny Valentine! THE WINNER, AND NEW GWA WORLD CHAMPION, JOHNNY VALENTINE!

Live Road Show from Municipal Auditorium, Atlanta, GA
Angelo Poffo vs Gory Guerrero - Tonight's card kicks off with a bout between two skilled veteran grapplers. As the match raged on, Poffo's power started to take effect. Angelo would score the pin after a top rope neck slap floored Guerrero
Yukon Eric vs Don Leo Jonathan - A brutal brawl between two large powerful men. The ref struggled to maintain any sense of control, and it would be the timekeeper who would eventually put an end to this one with no decision.
Stu Hart vs Mike DiBiase - Stu Hart has been on an impressive roll of late, and tonight, he'd administer his latest exhibition on an unwary Mike DiBiasse. It would be a questionable choke sleeper that would end this one unceremoniously.
The Outback Raiders (Heffernan & Costello) vs Bull Curry & Mad Dog Vachon - A closely fought physical encounter between the Raiders and the team of Curry and Vachon would end in a brawl outside of the ring, when Bull Curry's actions threatened not only the Raiders, but members of the crowd as well, resulting in a hasty DQ
Buddy Rogers vs Bronko Nagurski - Two long time antagonists would renew their rivalry. Rogers appeared to control most of the actioin early on, but it would be the former champion who would take the initiative with a sudden surge, and wrap up Rogers for a small package roll and the stunning pinfall.

GWA Wrestling Showcase, on The Dumont Network
Stu Hart vs. Danny McShain - Stu Hart's next foe is veteran tough guy Danny McShain. The Texan brings plenty, but was unable to put Hart's shoulders to the mat. Hart would not relent, and eventually locked in his Sugar Hold to score the win. HART WINS BY SUBMISSION
Mick McManus vs Jim Londos - The roughian from the streets of London steps into the ring against the sculpted Greek Londos. The scrappy McManus was on the offensive throughout, and pinned Londos after dropping him with a running forearm. MCMANUS PINS LONDOS
The Sheik vs Chief Don Eagle - Don Eagle storms into the ring to meet the challenge presented by the practitioner of pain, The Sheik. This would prove to be a regretable move, as The Sheik attacked from the opening bell. After taking the fight outside the ring, he would crush the Chief with a chair strike over his head, then toss his limp body back inside for an easy pin. SHEIK PINS EAGLE
Lord James Blears vs Fritz Von Goering - The focus now shifts to this battle of Europe, as Blears squares off with the imposing Von Goering. The two would spar for a few minutes, with neither man achieving much. Blears would suddenly go on the attack, felling the German with a series of dropkicks, and then locking in the Oxford leg strangle to bring the match to a conclusion. BLEARS WINS BY SUBMISSION
Los Luchadors (Blue Demon and Black Shadow) vs The Hollywood Stars (Freddie Blassie and Billy Varga) - GWA World Tag Team Championship - Los Luchadors would take to the ring, followed by the pomp and circumstance of the champs, Blassie and Varga. The match would start off with a flurry from Varga, leading to the Shadow to scramble for the tag. Los Luchas would proceed to work like a machine, with frequent tags and choreographed teamwork, stunning and baffling the champs. Eventually, Demon would take Varga down with a shocking aerial maneuver, and pounce for the pin while his partner fended off Blassie as the ref administered the three count. The tag belts are going south of the border! YOUR WINNERS, AND NEW GWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, LOS LUCHADORS
