Card #6
Al Costello vs Chief Don Eagle - The opening match of tonight's card proved to be an entertaining back and forth contest. The Chief was able to put a sudden flurry together, capping it with his Indian Deathlock to secure the win. EAGLE WINS BY SUBMISSION
John Pesek vs Roy Heffernan - The young Heffernan gave a surprisingly strong performance against the former champ, but could not manage to put his shoulders to the mat. Eventually, Pesek took over, and locked in his infamous Tiger Toehold for the win. PESEK WINS BY SUBMISSION
Red Berry vs Billy Varga - Unfortunately not much of a contest here, as early on, Varga and Berry tangled up at the ropes. Varga overpowered Berry, when the red one slipped, and went sprawling head first to the arena floor. Berry was unable to continue, and was counted out. VARGA WINS BY COUNTOUT
Maurice Tillet vs El Santo - The French Angel and the Mexican Angel, The Global Wrestling Alliance is truly global. This matchup was hotly contested, enough so that in attempting to confront El Santo trying to return to the ring, he bowled over the unwary official. The bell rang, and Santo was given the win. SANTO WINS BY COUNTOUT
Jim Londos vs Lou Thesz - GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT - BEST OF 3 FALLS - Earlier in his career, Londos seemed to be a weak link on the GWA roster. This season, Londos has matured into a challenger. GWA Champion Lou Thesz showed Londos that there's an entirely different level to be attained. Thesz wore down Londos in the first fall before finishing him off with his Greco-Roman backdrop, and continued his domination in the second fall, sending Londos to the arena floor as the ref counted him out. THESZ WINS IN STRAIGHT FALLS

Card #7
Chief Don Eagle vs Yukon Eric - Our first match tonight pitted the Mohawk warrior against the mountain man. Neither man could gain any advantage for several minutes. Suddenly, Don Eagle seemed recharged, assaulting Eric with a series of strikes and slams, finishing him off with a vicious Tomahawk Chop, then pounced on him for the pin. EAGLE PINS ERIC
Bull Curry vs Al Costello - Bull Curry reaffirms his dedication to senseless violence. In barely enough time to break a sweat, the Wild Bull was smashing a folding chair across Costello's back. By the time the ref called for the bell from the safety of the announcer's table, Costello took a shot to the chest as well, then one over the head. COSTELLO WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Bronko Nagurski vs Buddy Rogers - Rogers is still fuming from his controversial disqualification his last time out. He storms to the ring, takes the ring announcer's mic, and shouts to the GWA management, roster, and fans, "It's high time Buddy Rogers got some damn respect!". Rogers then proceeded to back up his words, standing toe to toe, strike for strike, move for move, with top contender Bronko Nagurski. Neither man could put the other to the mat. The timekeeper rang the bell with nothing decided, but maybe some respect earned. TIME LIMIT DRAW
Black Shadow vs Billy Varga - Hollywood Billy Varga entered the ring next to square off with the masked man from Mexico City. Shadow seemed to be a step quicker at almost every turn. A frustrated Varga was relegated to attempting a reckless tackle, and was sent sprawling to the arena floor by the Shadow. Varga flew through the ropes, went crashing awkwardly to the arena floor, and was unable to recover before the bell. SHADOW WINS BY COUNTOUT
El Santo vs John Pesek - The Masked Hero of Hidalgo faced the former GWA Champion. Tonight was not Pesek's greatest night, as in a flash, El Santo sent Pesek crashing to the mat twice, and folded him up in Santo's La De A Caballa. Pesek called out No Mas. SANTO WINS BY SUBMISSION

Card #8
Roy Heffernan vs Gorgeous George - The Aussie would start off tonight's card against the Gorgeous One. The match was a tight back and forth struggle, until George faceraked Heffernan with a fistful of his Georgie pins, cutting Heffernan's eyelid open. The ref saw something odd, checked on Heffernan, and found a pin still protruding from the cut. HEFFERNAN WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Rod Fenton vs Red Berry - Our next bout pits tough guy Rod Fenton against the opportunist, Red Berry. This match featured a sudden stunning finish. As Fenton was taking his time getting to his feet after being sent to the mat, Berry pounced and clamped on his Gilligan Twist. A completely surprised Fenton was unable to reach the rope or break the hold, and was forced to tap out. BERRY WINS BY SUBMISSION
Danny McShain vs Jim Londos - Another match, another stunning quick finish. McShain and Londos seemed to be feeling things out, when McShain landed a quick uppercut to Londos' chin. Londos was out cold before he hit the mat, and McShain pinned him for the win. MCSHAIN PINS LONDOS
Gory Guerrero vs Maurice Tillet - Two seriously tough competitors would meed in the next bout. Guererro stood at the center of the ring toe to toe with the expat Frenchman. At the bell, the two started tearing in to each other, and didn't relent. Finally sending the Frenchman to the mat, Guerrero pounced onto Tillet's back, bent him back, and locked in le De A Caballo. Tillet had enough, and the ref called for the bell. GUERRERO WINS BY SUBMISSION
George Tragos vs Lou Thesz - GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT - BEST OF 3 FALLS - Prior to the match, we had a word with the Champ. "This one feels a little different, I admit." said Thesz. "George is a great friend, training partner, but also a top shelf wrestler who is deserving of a title shot. With all that, I'm not about to take it easy on anyone coming for my belt." Once the match began the momentum swung from one corner to the other, like a pendulum. The champ sent Tragos flying to the mat with a backdrop, but was unable to secure the pin, then suddenly flattened him with the Thesz Press. The ref counted three, and Thesz took the first fall. As the second fall went along, Tragos appeared to tire quickly, resorting to scrambling for the sanctuary of the ropes, and then, the arena floor. The final time, Thesz met him at the ropes to keep the match moving. The two went sprawling to the arena floor. Thesz recovered and reentered the ring, but Tragos had seemingly had enough, and was counted out. THESZ WINS COSECUTIVE FALLS

Card #9
Bull Curry vs Yukon Eric - Bull Curry's next opponent would be the sturdilly built Yukon Eric. Curry gave probably his best performance yet in the GWA, coming into the match with a clearly established strategy of resorting to his boxing skills. Curry was careful to dart in and out, making sure the mountain man couldn't get a hold of the wild man, while he connected on strike after strike to the head, finally sending Eric to the mat with a flurry of overhand strikes, and pouncing for the pin. CURRY PINS ERIC
Jim Londos vs Billy Varga - Hollywood Billy Varga is paired with the classically sculpted Greek god Jim Londos. Varga would take the early momentum, but couldn't capitalize on his advantage. Eventually, Londos was able to wrest his opportunity and unloaded on Varga, finishing him off with a powerful fireman's carry slam. LONDOS PINS VARGA
Chief Don Eagle vs Maurice Tillet - This one would start off at a furious pace, with Tillet and Don Eagle meeting at the center of the ring with a thud and going toe to toe. Don Eagle appeared much more capable of keeping up, eventually taking advantage of the large Frenchman. With a series of strikes and kicks, Eagle was able to bring his man down with a final powerful tomahawk chop. EAGLE PINS TILLET
Black Shadow vs Red Berry - The masked marvel from Mexico City would face his next test in the form of the shifty Red Berry. The Black Shadow would pounce from the opening bell with a varied assault, only to see Berry counter and take the momentum. Berry was unable to get a pin, and we saw the Shadow catch his second wind, and secure the win, locking Berry in a kneeling backbreaker rack. BLACK SHADOW WINS BY SUBMISSION
George Tragos vs Gory Guerrero - Our main event tonight pits a pair of skilled contenders together, the recently deposed Tragos against the always lurking Gory Guerrero. This match would seem to establish a trend, as when Guerrero appears to be on the verge of a big break, he puts up a dud of a performance. That was the case here, as Tragos appeared to control this match, with Gory unable to maintain any offensive. Tragos eventually locked on a wicked armlock and scissors hold combo to put Guerrero's shoulders to the mat. TRAGOS PINS GUERRERO

Card #10
Roy Heffernan vs Al Costello - Tonight's first bout from Madison Square Garden comes by way of Australia, as countrymen Heffernan and Costello are paired against each other. The two put on an entertaining contest, with both exhibiting a range of moves, swapping the momentum back and forth. Costello suddenly found an opportunity, slid his opponent into a reverse Nelson, put his shoulders to the mat, and took the win. COSTELLO PINS HEFFERNAN
Gorgeous George vs Rod Fenton with Special Guest Referee Babe Ruth - George's ongoing one way feud against The Babe touches off again as the Gorgeous one sees Ruth again wearing the striped shirt for one of his matches. George's screaming tirade did not let up at the bell, as the seething pretty boy tore in to Rod Fenton. In no time, he had his opponent in the turnbuckle, scooped him up for a throw, and bundled him up for a small package pin before Fenton could even realize what was going on. George then stormed out before Ruth could as much as touch his arm to raise it. GEORGE PINS FENTON
Danny McShain vs John Pesek with Special Guest Referee Babe Ruth - The Bambino would hang around to officiate the next match, featuring two tough competitors, Danny McShain and John Pesek. This time out, Ruth had his hands full, prying the two toughs apart a few times in the corner. Ruth had enough of McShain, giving him an extra shove after one order too many went unheeded. Pesek took advantage of that distraction, took McCain to the mat, and applied his patented Tiger Toehold. PESEK WINS BY SUBMISSION
Bronko Nagurski vs Buddy Rogers - It's the rematch we've all been waiting for, Bronko and Buddy, Nagurski versus Rogers. The two combatants did not disappoint, seemingly picking up right where they left off. Neither man could gain much of an advantage, just as their first match. Rogers eventually worked Nagurski to the mat, then surprised everyone involved by taking Nagurski's leg, spinning, and locking in his latest weapon, the figur four leglock. ROGERS WINS BY SUBMISSION
El Santo vs Lou Thesz - GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT - BEST OF 3 FALLS - The Hero of Hidalgo, Mexico has quickly risen up the ranks in the GWA. Now, he meets the Champ, Lou Thesz. The Masked Mexican impressed early on, exchanging early momentum early on with the Champ. Santo's quickness and agility shone through in the first fall, pouncing on a downed Thesz, and tying him up in La De A Caballo. Thesz would get his revenge in the second fall, making the most of his strength advantage, before finishing him off with a soaring flying Thesz Press. The third fall proved to be a near carbon copy of the first, and when El Santo bent Thesz back and applied his finisher, the crowd was shocked. The GWA Championship Belt is going south of the border! EL SANTO WINS 2 OF 3 FALLS FOR THE GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

Card #11 Gorgeous George vs Roy Heffernan - The Gorgeous one dominated the action from the opening bell. It appears George can look like a grappler when he focuses. He even managed to cap it with a figure four leglock. GEORGE WINS BY SUBMISSIONRed Berry vs Lou Thesz - The deposed Champ makes his first beltless appearance against the shifty Red Berry. Thesz made quick work of the redhead, going airborne to topple his opponent with the infamous Thesz Press. THESZ PINS BERRYBronko Nagurski vs Chief Don Eagle - The Bears' legend has slipped down the contenders list for some time now. Don Eagle has risen up the list in that same time. Both of these trends were stopped, as Nagurski appeared to be too much for Don Eagle to handle. A couple brutal football tackles and a couple power slams set up Nagurski's crab hold. Eagle was forced to concede. NAGURSKI WINS BY SUBMISSION Maurice Tillet vs Yukon Eric - Two powerful blocks of iron would meet in our next match. The match would break down to a series of collisions, the last of which sent Yukon Eric crashing to the arena floor, where he seemed to be injured and unable to continue. TILLET WINS BY COUNTOUT John Pesek vs George Tragos - Two veteran contenders meet in tonight's main event. Both men battled heroically, seizing the initiative from the other time and again. It was the former champion Nebraskan who would outlast his opponent, delivering a devastating scoop slam, and pressing Tragos' shoulders to the mat for the three count. PESEK PINS TRAGOS
