WPW #18: Power Hour on MTV


We are live from MTV Studios in New York overlooking Times Square. Tonight’s musical guest is the rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. With his band set up near the WPW entrance-way, Ozzy plays a unique version of the Power Hour theme song, mumbles something unintelligible and then bites the head off of a tiny goat.



In-Ring Segment: Pomp & Circumstance and we are greeted by WPW World Champion Macho Man Randy Savage, entering with Allie Katch (announced hesitantly as “Elizabeth”) but without the champ’s partner Jay Lethal. Allie looks concerned, but hanging around Macho will do that. Savage says it’s been a long seven days but he’s ready to discover the truth along with everybody else, he takes his hat off and produces a DVD from inside it. Macho says it’s the videotape that Val Venis was shooting backstage during Macho’s title match at BOYS ‘R’ US that Macho won possession of last week. He jams the DVD into a VCR and it somehow plays. The video is just Val Venis & Ricky Starks, The Stroke Daddies, on a trip to the zoo. The video is nothing but close-ups of various animals having sex and one of a hippopotamus defecating with Starks and Venis snickering and giggling in the background. Macho is furious that this “videotape” didn’t confirm his suspicions, and Macho tells “Liz,” and Lethal if he can hear him, that he’s going to be paying close attention to them. Then he tells Val Venis and Ricky Starks that a therapist should be paying close attention to them.

Disco Inferno (1-2)

    Val Venis enters with his partner Sticky Ricky. Starks spends most of the match reading from some educational nature pamphlets he picked up at the zoo. Disco Inferno hits a spinning neckbreaker on Venis sending Val reeling to the corner and in his stupor he tries to tag in his partner Starks. Venis comes back, though, managing to land several MONEYSHOT splashes off of the top rope but Disco Inferno is able to barely get a shoulder up each time. In the end, Val Venis catches Disco with a spinning powerbomb and finally gets the 1-2-3. After the match, Val Venis proclaims that he is “the King of gyrations, and sex, and porn."

Backstage Interview: Jay Lethal and AJ Styles are backstage for a face-to-face interview, these men being the top two ranked wrestlers underneath World Champion Randy Savage. Jay Lethal says that things will be just fine between himself and Macho, he didn’t do anything wrong so he has nothing to worry about, but he’s not letting his friendship with Macho hold him back from a championship opportunity and intends to prove that he can be savage, too. AJ Styles says he’s done messing around with those jobbers “The United Umpire” and now he’s going to prove that the “P” in WPW stands for “Phenomenal,” and not urine. Lethal says “...... what?” Next week on Power Hour, we will see Lethal and Styles battle to become #1 contender for the World Title and face Macho Man Randy Savage at WPW IN HeAT.

Brian Pillman Jr. (2-5)
vs.
Diamond Dallas Page (3-2)

    Diamond Dallas Page distributes promo codes for DDPY on his way to the ring. One wonders what will happen when DDP tries to get D-Meditation-X on his DDPY program (because it’s more than just yoga). BPJ goes for a discus clothesline, DDP ducks, tries to hit Pillman with a surprise DIAMOND CUTTER out of nowhere, but BPJ sees it coming, spins around, and hits DDP with a devastating superkick. A Michinoku Driver from BPJ sends DDP rolling to the outside to escape the pin, BPJ follows and smashes Page’s head into the corner ring post. Back in the ring, a final rally from DDP puts BPJ down with a Diamond Dream, but DDP is still feeling the effects of the head-first smash into the ring post and cannot capitalize. A DIRE PROMISE from Pillman is all it takes to put the nail in the coffin and score a huge surprise pinfall victory for the second-generation star.

Backstage Promo: Mr. Bob Backlund was successful in his attempt against “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko last week, earning him a match against Danhausen for the WPW Boys Championship. Backlund says that the curse has not been lifted, he’s still been falling into the toilet all week long, even urinals. And now, all of a sudden, never has happened before, he swears, he is experiencing erectile dysfunction. Backlund says that is all going to end next week when he defeats that freak Danhausen, lifts the curse, and takes the Boys Gold for himself. Iron Sheik is passing by on his way to the entrance for his match and he’s pouring a bottle of Nugenix Total-T into his mouth. Backlund chases after him to ask him for some dick pills and we can hear Sheik as he is pouring out a handful for Backlund, “She will like it, too, Bubba.”

w/ United Empire

    “The Ten Inch Terror” The Iron Sheik was pivotal in AJ Styles’ Lumberjack Match victory last week, and it was arguably Iron Sheik’s “enhanced” CAMEL CLUTCH that sealed the deal for Styles. The Commonwealth Kingpin Will Ospreay wants revenge. Sheik hits Ospreay in the head with his loaded boot and goes for the cover, Zack Sabre Jr. hops up on the apron diverting the ref’s attention as Jeff Cobb slips in from behind and hits Sheiky with a brutal TOUR OF THE ISLANDS, but it’s not enough to keep the 10” Legend down and the ref tells United Empire “Yoouuuu’rreeee ouuuttttaaa heeeeerrreeee!!!”. Ospreay hits an Oscutter but cannot get the pin, nor can he after an ESSEX DRIVER or two. Sheik gets the CAMEL CLUTCH on Ospreay but Ospreay is able to barely reach his foot to the bottom rope. He can’t hold on much longer though as Shieky drops Ospreay with a sidewinder suplex and without his cronies there to interfere, Ospreay is pinned.

Bryan Danielson (5-4)

w/ D-Meditation-X

Kevin Steen (4-2)

    Steen made his surprise return interrupting a D-Meditation-X drum circle last week to challenge The American Dragon to a match. No matter how many times Steen bites Danielson in the face or smashes him with an elbow, Danielson maintains that sadistic grin on his face. Steen hits his F-CINQ on Danielson but D-Meditation-X storms the ring, while the ref is attempting to regain control, Danielson hits Steen with a debilitating low-blow right to the yams but Steen had the testicular fortitude to kick out. Danielson hooks in the CATTLE MUTILATION but Steen makes it to the ropes, nor can a REGALPLEX by Danielson put Steen down. Steen comes back, putting Danielson in a deep sharpshooter leglock, holding it tight for a whole minute before Jake Something could drag Bryan to a rope break. Finally, Danielson hooks in his CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING on Steen who now has no option but to tap before passing out. D-Meditaion-X celebrates in the ring.

WPW #19: Power Hour on MTV

We are live from MTV Studios in New York overlooking Times Square. Tonight’s musical guest is the legendary musical pioneer Jeff Lynne’s ELO. Lively strings mix with rock guitar and a choir of voices imitate the famous sex-jazz sax of the Power Hour opening theme song. Jeff Lynne has replaced his trademark sunglasses with a pair of “Macho Man” shades and he’s wearing a foam toy WPW World Title belt around his waist.

    We open this week’s Power Hour program with a highly anticipated championship match. Bob Backlund has been complaining for weeks now about being cursed by Danhausen, falling into toilets and blaming his sexual shortcomings on the Boys Champ. Danhausen enters with his manager “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko and the match is underway. Danhausen opens up with a flurry of European uppercuts but Backlund takes him down with a headscissor. Danhausen rolls out of the ring to escape and Backlund gives chase. As they circle around the ring, Danhausen pulls on a tripwire and Backlund stumbles forward and lands right into a toilet that is suddenly at ringside. Backlund is fuming. He returns to the ring to a jawbreaker by the champ. Backlund clotheslines Danhausen over the top to the outside and Danhausen falls smashing his head into the toilet. Danhausen crawls helplessly back into the ring and is caught in Bob Backlund’s CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING. Danhausen screams for “Larry Legend” to intervene when suddenly Zbyszko flies into the ring smashing Backlund in the head with the Boys Title belt. Ding-ding. Immediate disqualification for the champ however the title does not change hands. Backlund has absolutely lost it, chasing Zbyszko out of the ring before tripping and landing headfirst in the toilet once again. Danhausen flushes it and Backlund’s limbs begin flailing wildly.

Result: Bob Backlund d. Danhausen by DQ when Larry Zbyszko smashes Backlund in the head with the Boys Title belt to break the CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING

Backstage Promo: The Stroke Daddies are lounging on a sketchy looking couch wearing just their signature towels emblazoned with their monograms. Val Venis says, “Hellllooo, Machoooo” and apologizes for not providing the film footage last week that Macho Man was expecting to see. Val says he didn’t realize that Ricky Starks taped over it with their trip to the zoo. Ricky adds that if Macho waits until after the zoo footage he taped an episode of Martin, noting that “Martin is a good show.” Val says that he’s going back to the original film and working on a special director’s cut of “The Lethal Alleys of WPW” and he’s going to debut it at the pay-per-view event, WPW IN HeAT. Val says that when he whips it out it is going to be explosive.

w/ Thunder Rosa

    Warhorse is coming off of two impressive singles victories against then-World Champ Kenny Omega and loudmouth MJF and Sammy is a fresh addition to the WPW Boys Department competing in his first match outside of the B1 Climax Tournament. Sammy kisses his valet “The Spanish Goddess” Thunder Rosa and the bell rings to start this match. Warhorse opens up with a headbang and forearm smash but an early Spanish Fly from Guevara is not able to keep him down. Sammy hits a step-up enzuigiri and knocks Warhorse silly. Warhorse comes back with a rising lariat and Warhorse scores the 1-2-3 after landing his DEATH BY DOUBLESTOMP on The Spanish God. After the match, Thunder Rosa is berating poor Sammy in Spanish outside the ring. She bends him over the steel ring steps and gives him a spanking. Bob Backlund can be seen peeping through the curtain trying to watch.

Backstage Promo: D-Meditation-X is sitting backstage in a circle, the smell of patchouli and arrogance fills the air. Bryan Danielson was able to put down Kevin Steen last week and still has his sights on Macho and the World Title. The group’s mindfulness is broken when there is a knock on the door and Diamond Dallas Page enters the room. Page is trying to get D-Meditation-X to become a franchisee of DDPY (because it’s more than just yoga) but Danielson doesn’t seem interested. Sydal proposes that if DDP can defeat Jake Something 1-on-1 then they’ll consider it.

w/ D-Meditation-X

    DDP hands out DDPY promo codes on the way to the ring. D-Meditation-X joins their enforcer Jake Something at ringside. Jake Something dominates early with a number of elbow strikes and lariats to the back of DDP’s head, but DDP’s superior agility lets him counter and reverse many of these deadly blows. DDP hits a Diamond Dream and goes for the pin but Danielson and Sydal hop up onto the apron. Sydal is ringing a Tibetan singing bowl and Danielson is lighting some sage. This smudge stick puts out a large cloud of smoke allowing Leyla Hirsch to slip in behind the ref and smash DDP in the yambag with a handful of Amethyst shards. She’s about to attempt to jam a rose quartz pillar up his backside when the smoke clears. The ref, done extinguishing the Distraction Sage, catches Hirsch in the ring and expels all of D-Meditation-X from ringside. Jake hits an MFKR but DDP manages to kick out. Another low-blow, lariat to the back of the head, and one final MFKR will put DDP down for good.

Backstage Promo: Jim Cornette says that it’s a disgrace what has been taking place in The WPW. When he joined this company he was promised that WPW would be a return to real pro-wrestling but with jokes like Warhorse, Danhausen, and those dingbats D-Meditation-X running around nobody can take it seriously. Corny says WPW needs to be shown how pro-wrestling is supposed to be. He promises that his new client will do just that and Corny says that he will debut with his client in two weeks at WPW IN HeAT, but next week on Power Hour Corny will announce who his client will be facing at the pay-per-view. As Corny walks away we hear the sound of a pill bottle rattling in his jacket pocket.

Winner to Face Macho Man at WPW IN HeAT

Jay Lethal (6-4)

    WPW World Champion Macho Man enters to observe this match from ringside. He’s dragging Allie (“Liz”) along with him, she’s wearing a leash made out of Slim Jims. Lethal and Styles make their entrances and we hear the opening bell. Lethal tries to choke Styles on the ropes but he’s having none of it. AJ manages to hit an early Phenomenal Forearm off the top rope but Lethal rolls to safety. A Rack Bomb by Styles puts Lethal down on the mat but Lethal manages to escape the Calf Crusher by making it to the bottom rope. A discus lariat by Styles shakes Lethal and the action spills outside the ring. A wild brawl erupts, but Lethal removes Allie’s Slim Jim leash and begins to choke Styles with a giant link of snack sticks. The ref doesn’t appreciate him “tearing into the spice” nor “that beefy juicy taste'' and disqualifies Jay Lethal.

MTV Musical Segment: Jeff Lynne’s ELO plays “Showdown” from the 1973 album “On the Third Day.” Macho Man drags Allie Katch up onto the stage and is having a face-off with new #1 contender AJ Styles. Macho holding up his WPW World Championship belt and jaw-jacking with The Phenomenal One while Jay Lethal is just off stage staring down Macho and Allie.

Power Hour was on hiatus for a week while MTV aired their special Spring Break programming. Live shots at the beach were hosted by WPW superstars Val Venis & Ricky Starks, The Stroke Daddies who were filming for their "WPW Boys Gone Wild!" video series.



WPW #20: “The Road to WPW IN HeAT” Power Hour on MTV


We are live from MTV Studios in New York overlooking Times Square. Tonight’s musical guest is the Grammy Award winning rock group Toto who play the opening theme song for WPW Power Hour on this final broadcast on MTV.



In-Ring Segment: Pomp & Circumstance plays as WPW World Champion Macho Man Randy Savage makes his way to the ring accompanied by Allie Katch (“Elizabeth”). Next, AJ Styles makes his entrance, stepping into the ring and coming face-to-face with the World Champ. Macho tells AJ that he is the cream of the crop but AJ says he will rise to the top, Macho asks “Liz” to hold his title belt while he squares up with The Phenomenal #1 contender when suddenly Jay Lethal’s theme music plays and Jay Lethal slowly makes his way to the ring carrying some contract papers. He takes the mic and tells Macho and AJ that they can’t have a contract signing if they forget the contract backstage. He hands it to Macho to sign and says that whoever wins at WPW IN HeAT, Jay Lethal wants a shot at the WPW World Title, even if the champion is his friend, Macho Man. Macho Man jaw-jacks with Lethal, AJ Styles tries to interject, and Allie is caught in the middle of it all. Out of nowhere, they are all interrupted by “Broooooooo” and Matt Riddle makes his way to the stage and he’s accompanied by legend Rob Van Dam. Matt Riddle says “Bros, bros, do you know what day it is? It’s 4/20, you guys need to chill out. RVD and I want an exhibition match with the WPW World Champ Macho and a partner of his choosing for 4/20." Jay Lethal says that he’d love to team with Macho and the Lethal Savages will take on Team 420, Matt Riddle & RVD. Macho takes the mic and says that he would rather have a partner who is actually a good wrestler and tells his PPV opponent AJ Styles to gear up because they will be teaming in the main event. Jay Lethal is left alone in the ring, furious. Matt Riddle offers him a joint and Jay Lethal doesn’t appear amused.

MJF (4-7)
w/Mr. Hughes
vs.
Effy (1-0)

    MJF is still trying to redeem his WPW record after being on a losing streak lately and Effy is coming off an impressive debut against Big Daddy Drew in a Battle of Daddies. MJF grabs a mic before the match, making several homophobic remarks about Effy and calling him a freak, but deep down he knows that even he will submit to the DRAG QUEEN SLEEPER of Effy if he can get it on him, but MJF promises he won’t let that “freak” kiss him. MJF opens things up by slapping Effy across the face, but Effy finds this arousing. MJF clotheslines Effy over the top to the outside and Effy comes face to face with MJF’s bodyguard Mr. Hughes, who doesn’t quite know what to make of Effy. Effy hits a beautiful cradle suplex on MJF but can’t get the 3-count. MJF counters with a hammerlock powerbomb but he can’t keep the upper hand either. MJF finds himself on the apron with a prone Effy and in a moment of desperation MJF hits an inside-out HEATSEEKER piledriver to the outside of the ring onto the floor, knocking out one of Effy’s front teeth. MJF says “you can charge more for the gummies now” as blood is pouring from Effy’s mouth. MJF continues flopping his genitals on the ring rope and rubbing it in Effy’s face prompting the referee to disqualify MJF and pronounce Effy as the winner of this exchange, but we have a feeling that this issue is not settled between these two men.

Result: Effy d. MJF by DQ when MJF does a HEATSEEKER to the outside of the ring on the floor, knocking out his front tooth.

Backstage Promo: Eddie Kingston says he wasn’t successful in the B1 Climax Tournament, but what’s new, he loses all the time. He’s going to make the best of his time in WPW and prove that he has what it takes to hold the gold in the hottest new promotion in wrestling today and he issues an open challenge to anyone that thinks they have what it takes to make history with Eddie Kingston. Enter Will Ospreay and the United Empire, Jeff Cobb and Zack Sabre Jr. Will Ospreay says Eddie Kingston talks funny, almost as funny as AJ Styles, and accepts his challenge for a match on PPV. Ospreay says he’s going to knock the accent out of him and when he’s done with Kingston you’ll be able to understand what he says.



MTV Musical Segment: Toto plays “Africa” from the 1982 album “Toto IV”

Big Daddy Drew McIntyre (5-4)
vs.
Kevin Steen (4-3)

    Big Daddy Drew makes his way to the ring amidst “Who’s your Daddy? Drew’s Your Daddy” chants and Kevin Steen makes his entrance next. This exciting contest would prove to be the match of the evening. Steen is able to hit his PACKAGE PILEDRIVER early in the match, but too early to keep Big Daddy Drew down. After a reversal into the turnbuckle Drew bounces out and is caught in Steen’s F-CINQ but Drew gets a shoulder up. The action spills out of the ring and Drew hits his CLAYMORE kick onto Steen through the time-keeper’s table. Drew takes the time to flex his pecs and proclaim “WHO’S YOUR DADDY?” before tossing Kevin Steen back into the ring. Drew hits his DOUBLE-ARM DDT and scores the 1-2-3.

Result: Big Daddy Drew d. Kevin Steen by pinfall after a DOUBLE-ARM DDT.

In-Ring Segment: While Big Daddy Drew is celebrating his victory in the ring, his music is cut off by “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and Drew’s former manager Jim Cornette makes his entrance. Jim congratulates Drew on his victory tonight but also congratulates him on his big match at the upcoming pay-per-view event WPW IN HeAT against Corny’s new client. Corny tells Drew to enjoy his week because next week he’ll be in the hospital.

Matt Sydal (2-0)
w/D-Meditation-X

    DDP fell at the hands of Jake Something last week, but he knows how influential Bryan Danielson is in the world of wrestling and DDP is determined to have D-Meditation-X promote his DDPY (because it's more than just yoga). Tonight DDP takes on Danielson’s #2, Matt Sydal. D-Meditation-X accompany Sydal to the ring, bringing their usual arsenal of metaphysical accessories, burning sage, singing bowls, jagged crystals and et cetera. Early on Matt Sydal tries his luck hitting an early SHOOTING STAR PRESS onto DDP but DDP catches him out of the air in a DIAMOND CUTTER. DDP goes for the pin causing D-Meditaion-X to spring into action. They are successful in distracting the ref this time, but DX is promptly ejected from the ringside area. Sydal hits a Cyclorama and a Sydal Special but DDP rebounds off the ropes and connects with a SURPRISE DIAMOND CUTTER out of nowhere and gets the 1-2-3 on Sydal. DDP says to the camera, “Danielson, there’s nowhere left to hide. I’ll see your ass on pay-per-view!”

Result: DDP d. Matt Sydal by pinfall after a surprise DIAMOND CUTTER out of nowhere.

Backstage Promo: Val Venis says “Hellooooo Machooooo” and says that Macho can order “The Lethal Alleys of WPW” on pay-per-view this weekend following WPW IN HeAT, but he is going to show him a special sneak preview of his magnum opus right now. Sticky Ricky Starks puts the tape into the VCR and we’re greeted with the opening credits “Stroke Daddies Productions presents: The Lethal Alleys of WPW, filmed LIVE @ BOYS ‘R’ US, starring, as Jay Lethal, “Swerve” Strickland.” Strickland walks into frame, wearing Jay Lethal’s trunks, and heading towards the backstage medical office. “Jay Lethal” knocks on the door, opens it up, and there, lying unconscious on the exam table is Allie Katch, injured from her match with Leyla Hirsch. “Jay Lethal” says “It looks like you’re ready for your complete physical check-up Miss Elizabeth,” and the screen fades to black.

    Boys Champ Danhausen enters alongside his manager “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko. Mr. Bob Backlund’s music plays, but he never makes his way through the curtain. The music plays again, but Backlund no-shows. We see on the screen a cameraman approaching a porta-potty and it sounds like someone is shouting from inside. Bob Backlund is down, inside the porta-potty. He says that it must be because of Danhausen’s curse! It’s the only explanation! Though he was backstage earlier and admits to eating several brownies from RVD & Riddle’s locker room, and then he felt real funny, and the next thing he knows he has fallen down inside another toilet, but Danhausen is to blame. Danhausen says that he was not asking “Larry Legend '' to interfere in their match last week he was just going to ask him for clarification on the move’s name, THE CROSSWING CHICKEN FACE. Backlund tries to correct him but admits that he utilizes THE CROSSWING CHICKEN FACE. Danhausen promises he will never eat a chicken’s face again. Backlund screams for help getting out of the toilet and wants a ladder. “A LADDER! A LADDER! GET ME A LADDER!” Danhausen takes this as a challenge. He accepts Mr. Bob Backlund’s challenge for a championship rematch on WPW IN HeAT, indicating that it will be a LADDER MATCH, and there shall be a porcelain toilet suspended above the ring with the WPW Boys Title belt inside the bowl.

Result: No-contest when Backlund could not get to the ring for the opening bell

    One wonders how much this baiting and trolling from The Stroke Daddies, Val Venis and Ricky Starks is affecting the already-fragile mental state of the WPW World Champion Macho Man going into this contest and beyond. Can Macho manage juggling his nose-diving partnership with Jay Lethal, his upcoming title defense, as well as his trust issues with his female valet, Allie Katch, or as he calls her, “Liz?” Corny may be right, Macho may have a screw loose. Matt Riddle and RVD, Team 420, enter to a huge ovation. Macho Man starts things off with RVD, managing to land a FLYING ELBOW DROP but RVD is able to kick out. Macho tags out to AJ Styles who is able to hook RVD into a STYLE’S CLASH, but Matt Riddle has the wherewithal to throw his Santa Cruz Shredder grinder at him from the apron to break the ref’s count. The ref threatens to DQ Team 420 and Riddle shouts, “Sorry, bro!” A quick tag back out to Macho Man and Savage connects with a big knee to the back of Van Dam, sending him face-first into the turnbuckle and seemingly knocked out cold. Macho covers him for a 1-2-3 while Riddle is stuck outside the ring rolling up another doobie.

Result: Savage and Styles d. Team 420 when Macho Man pins RVD following a knee to the back while Riddle was distracted on the apron.

MTV Musical Segment: Toto plays “Hold the Line” from their 1978 self-titled album. Macho Man and AJ Styles, done celebrating their victory, face off one last time before their main event championship match on PPV at WPW IN HeAT. While Macho is staring down his #1 contender, Jay Lethal is lassoing Allie Katch with a rope made of Slim Jim and is pulling her away, unbeknownst to the World Champion!

Welcome to MTV presents WPW IN HeAT LIVE from the WPW Power Zone, our makeshift arena erected in the parking lot of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV airing worldwide on the High Spots Wrestling Network.



Video Segment: Welcoming us to the show is the legendary duo of TV and the silver screen, MTV’s own Beavis & Butthead. Butthead says that he and Beavis are the original Stroke Daddies and Beavis corrects him and says they are the Spank Monkeys. They then announce that WPW and MTV have extended their partnership agreement and WPW Power Hour will be airing on MTV for the near future. They announce that mc chris will be the musical guest later in the show and while they are bickering over which Aqua Teen Hunger Force character is the best they are interrupted in the arena by MJF’s music.



In-Ring Promo: MJF comes out to the stage with a microphone and tells Beavis & Butthead that they are idiots and to shut up, which elicits boos from the crowd. He welcomes the fans to Las Vegas, Sin City, and says that the biggest sin is that he isn’t scheduled to wrestle on WPW IN HeAT, the biggest WPW pay-per-view event yet. Suddenly the skirl of bagpipes fills the arena and MJF is now face-to-face with another legendary “talker” in pro-wrestling, none other than Rowdy Roddy Piper. MJF cuts him off and asks what an old dinosaur like him is doing in his ring, interrupting MJF’s promo. Piper says that the ink is still drying on his new WPW contract, designating The Rowdy One as the new WPW Commissioner. MJF is angry. Piper says that his first official action as commissioner should be to fine him $10,000 for the homophobic attack MJF launched on Effy on Power Hour, but Piper says he’ll let MJF off on one condition: he team up with Effy vs. The Stroke Daddies. MJF is furious. He agrees and says he’ll be ready to wrestle this week on Power Hour, but Piper says no, no, no, your tag match is right now, and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” begins to play to beckon Effy out to the ring. Val Venis’s theme song welcomes The Stroke Daddies to the Power Zone. Val Venis and Ricky Starks have also promised to debut their new adult film, the director’s cut of “The Lethal Alleys of WPW'' before the night is through. What do these sleazeballs have up their sleeves, or up their towels, if you will?

    Piper tells MJF he remembers what he said about MJF being “hotter than Piper in Portland” and Piper tells him we’ll see about that and forces him to start the match with Sticky Ricky Starks. MJF sends Starks into the turnbuckle and a missed shoulder tackle sends MJF to the outside. Starks capitalizes by hitting a RO SHAM BO on MJF on the concrete floor before tossing him back in giving MJF a wedgie. Starks tries for a move off the top but MJF recovers, grabs Starks by the crotch and tosses him off (the top rope). Effy likes what he sees and reaches for the tag. Effy hits a second rope blockbuster and Starks leaves the ring. A wild brawl erupts, Val Venis uses his signature towel to snap it at Effy’s ass but it only fires up Effy. Effy tags MJF back in and MJF hits his HEATSEEKER piledriver on Starks but Starks kicks out of the pin. MJF goes for another pin following Shout Out to Dave and Starks kicks out again. Half-and-half suplex from MJF but Starks counters with a dropkick. Sticky Ricky tags in The Big Valbowski who puts MJF in a reverse figure four. MJF hits a Here It Is Driver and Val kicks out of the pinning predicament but MJF immediately hooks Venis into the SALT OF THE EARTH ARMBAR and Starks enters to make the save. MJF intercepts Starks but Venis gets a toe on the ropes. MJF hits the HEATSEEKER on Venis. Starks again comes in to make the save when a wild brawl erupts. The ref regains order and Venis hits MJF with a spinning powerbomb, MJF kicks out of the pin. Venus tags Starks back in who hits MJF with an Implant DDT. MJF hits Starks with a trapped arm german suplex and a running knee strike before hooking in the SALT OF THE EARTH. Starks makes it to the ropes. MJF tags out to Effy. Effy hits a butterfly suplex on Starks and hooks in the DRAG QUEEN SLEEPER. Starks is out cold. Ding ding. Effy gives him a kiss on the cheek. MJF finally gets another win on his record only thanks to Effy. Effy goes to hug his partner and MJF pushes him away and grabs his own genitals and waves them at Effy, Effy mimics this and the two leave the ring together, victorious. Val Venis scoops Ricky up off the mat and says “Come on Rickyyyy, let’s go hit the sluts.”

Result: MJEffy d. Stroke Daddies by submission when Effy puts Sticky Ricky Starks to sleep with the DRAG QUEEN SLEEPER

w/ United Empire

    Kingston issued an open challenge to anyone in WPW that wanted to make history with him and The Commonwealth Kingpin himself was the first to answer the challenge. Kingston quickly makes his way to the ring, a look of determination on his face and a white towel over his head. Will Ospreay enters with his posse, The United Empire, composed of submission expert Zack Sabre Jr. and power man Jeff Cobb. Ospreay opens up with jumping knee dazing Kingston. Ospreay tries to superkick Kingston but he dodges and chokes Ospreay with his boot. Kingston begins hitting The Aerial Assassin with his machine-gun chops in the corner and before Ospreay knows it Kingston connects with a devastating LARIAT, but Ospreay kicks out. Kingston hits another LARIAT and Ospreay kicks out again. A frustrated Kingston hits his Backfist to the Future. A yakuza kick in the corner by Kingston prompts The United Empire to get involved. Zack Sabre hops up on the apron distracting the ref when Jeff Cobb slips in from behind and hits a TOUR OF THE ISLANDS on Kingston. The ref tells The United Empire “You’reeeeee ouuuttttaaa heeeeerrre!” and Ospreay hits the Cheeky Nandos kick on Kingston, putting him down and Kingston rolls out to safety. Will Ospreay follows him to capitalize but Kingston pokes Ospreay right in the eyes, stunning him, and sends him face-first into the turnbuckle post. Kingston continues choking Ospreay with his boot whenever he can, breaking at the count of 4, and repeatedly stomping Ospreay in the head. Kingston tosses Ospreay into the turnbuckle, Ospreay bounces forward and is caught by another Backfist to the Future. A backhand chop from Kingston is avoided and Ospreay counters with a handspring rebound enziguri. Ospreay hits a brainbuster and goes for a CORKSCREW SHOOTING STAR PRESS but Kingston springs to his feet and Ospreay comes crashing down hard to the mat. Kingston has victory in his sights. Kingston climbs to the top himself and hits a powerful splash onto The Commonwealth Kingpin. A Sliding D puts Ospreay down and he’s hurt. Kingston bites the forehead and continues stomping a mudhole in Ospreay’s cranium. Kingston can’t believe how tenacious Ospreay is. A final rally and superkick dazes Kingston, Kingston comes back with dirty boxing and a uranage suplex. The end must be near. Kingston hits another Sliding D, yakuza kick, Backfist to the Future, and as a final nail in the coffin another LARIAT finisher, putting Ospreay down for the 1, 2, 3. Kingston tells Ospreay he’s the one that talks funny, “go eat some fish and chips and get out of my ring.” An impressive victory for the Man from Yonkers leaves a bloody and beaten Will Ospreay in the middle of the ring.

In-Ring Promo: Big Daddy Drew makes his entrance to chants of “Who’s your Daddy? Drew’s Your Daddy!” which means only one thing: we are finally going to find out who Jim Cornette’s new client is. He hasn’t managed anyone since Drew’s failed attempt at Kenny Omega’s WPW World Title but Corny has been teasing us ever since. “No More Mr. Nice Guy” brings Corny out to the stage who introduces his new client, Corny says everybody knows who he is and what he has in his pants, “The Ten Inch Terror,” “The Meat That Can’t Be Beat” The Iron Sheik. Corny is rattling a bottle of Nugenix Total-T in his hand, luring Sheiky down to the ring.

Big Daddy Drew McIntyre (6-4)
vs.
The Iron Sheik (1-0)
w/ Jim Cornette

    Sheik opens up with a clothesline on Big Daddy Drew and crushes McIntyre with a big kick in the corner. A chest-breaker and sidewinder suplex hurts McIntyre but he rolls out to safety and Sheiky follows and a wild brawl erupts. Sheiky tosses him back in the ring and wrenches in a Camel Rider and belly-to-belly suplex. A pinning attempt results in a kick out at 2. A vertical suplex puts McIntyre down into another Camel Rider. Another belly-to-belly knocks Big Daddy Drew silly. Sheik gets frustrated and tosses Big Daddy Drew out of the ring. Drew flies out of nowhere hitting a CLAYMORE KICK sending Sheiky into the timekeeper’s table, bouncing his head off the ring bell. McIntyre hits Thee Move, Sheiky kicks out. Drew intends to end this match ASAP and hits his signature DOUBLE ARM DDT on the Sheik. Cornette swings his racquet at McIntyre to break the pin but the shrewd McIntyre knows his former manager’s playbook and dodges, causing Cornette to swing his tennis racquet with all his might right into the crotch area of The Iron Sheik. Sheik reverses a toss into the turnbuckle who spins it around and hits Sheiky with a big boot in the corner, putting him down. Big Daddy Drew hits the Big Daddy Boot on The Iron Sheik. A Scot Drop and fireman’s carry gutbuster hurts Sheiky. A short arm lariat and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker connect, but McIntyre wiggles free and hits a clothesline. A criss-cross results in a double clothesline that puts both wrestlers down. Sheik recovers first and motions to his manager Jim Cornette. Corny reaches into his pocket to retrieve a bottle of Nugenix Total-T, the male enhancement pill with a special “Man-Boosting Formula.” Corny shoves a handful into The Iron Sheik’s mouth and he grows more powerful by the inch. A stomp to the back signals the end for Big Daddy Drew as Sheiky hooks in his “ENHANCED” CAMEL CLUTCH, with Sheiky’s boner pressing on his C-4 Vertebrae temporarily paralyzes the Scottish warrior and the ref calls for the bell. Cornette is mocking Drew who is telling the ringside physicians that he can’t feel his legs.

Result: The Iron Sheik d. Big Daddy Drew by submission with an “ENHANCED” CAMEL CLUTCH

MTV Musical Segment: mc chris performs his hit “Fett's Vette” from the 2001 album “Life’s a Bitch and I’m Her Pimp.” Beavis and Butthead provide running commentary during the song. They’re not a fan of “nerd rap.” Beavis says “It’s, like, rap, which is good, but it's about nerdy crap that nobody cares about.”

    DDP’s goal is to convince the Leader of D-Meditation-X Bryan Danielson to become a franchisee of DDPY (because it’s more than just yoga) and he was able to best Matt Sydal on Power Hour, Danielson’s #2, earning this matchup this evening against the head honcho. DDP makes his way to the ring, handing out promo codes for DDPY to fans, ringside crew, commentators, literally everyone. D-Meditation-X’s music hits and they come prepared with their arsenal of goodies: singing bowls, Distraction Sage, the whole lot. Ding ding. Danielson starts by choking DDP and hits him with a discus elbow smash. Danielson tries to end it early but DDP kicks out at 1. A tiger suplex drops DDP right on his neck and DDP escapes to safety. DDP grabs Danielson by the leg and drags him outside. DDP grabs a Tibetan Singing Bowl from the hands of Matt Sydal and dings Bryan in the head with it and he hands it right back to Sydal, saying, “Thanks, brother.” Danielson grabs it back from his partner and uses it right back on DDP, with the dinging thud reverberating from the bowl. Danielson tosses DDP back into the ring and tries a missile dropkick which is dodged by DDP. DDP hits Bryan with a flying clothesline from the top rope and then hits a reverse atomic drop. DDP wiggles out of a surfboard stretch, takes a quick breather, but then crawls helplessly back into the ring. A discus elbow smash and a small package but DDP kicks out. Another small package rolls him up but DDP kicks out, springs up and tosses Danielson into the turnbuckle. DDP takes Danielson out with a series of discus clotheslines. Danielson comes back with his own discus elbow smash, DDP goes for a surprise DIAMOND CUTTER, but Danielson saves himself. Danielson hooks in the CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING on DDP and DDP quickly fades, the ref calls for the bell. Danielson can be heard saying “I hope this is the last time I have to hear about your sissy yoga.” D-Meditation-X stands victorious and makes their exit, but Jake Something looks back towards the ring, breaks away from his stablemates, and returns to help DDP back up to his feet. DDP hands Jake a promo flyer for DDPY, they shake hands, and he helps DDP back to the locker room. Fans are cheering for DDP and Jake as they pass by.

Video Package: A close-up of some very well-defined male abdominal muscles, slowly panning up to a pair of very well-developed, juicy pectoral muscles that begin to flex and bounce back and forth for several seconds in slow-motion. Text emerges saying “THE PREMIER ATHLETE IS COMING.”

Mr. Bob Backlund (3-0)

    Mr. Bob Backlund makes his entrance first. He made certain not to eat any suspicious baked goods this evening so as not to end up in the bottom of an outhouse or something by night’s end. He’s been blaming Danhausen’s Curse for all of his woes this past month and Danhausen is ready to shut him up for good. WPW Boys Champ Danhausen makes his way to the ring, relinquishing his title belt to the referee just to see it placed into the porcelain throne in the middle of the ring and then raised over 15 feet into the air. Will Backlund go for the CROSS WING CHICKEN FACE tonight? The bell rings to start this match. Backlund opens things up by putting the Boys Champ Danhausen in an abdominal stretch, who screams comically, “overselling” the move and Backlund thinks he’s been effective. Backlund begins to ascend the ladder when Danhausen pops up underneath the ladder and smashes Mr. Bob Backlund right between the legs with a powerful uppercut right to the yambag through the rungs of the ladder. Backlund stiffens up and falls straight back off of the ladder, grabbing his “boys stable.” Danhausen recognizes the opportunity afforded to him, springs up, up the ladder lickety-split, opening up the lid of the toilet and retrieving his WPW Boys Championship title belt. The belt is dripping with blue toilet water as Danhausen shakes it dry 15 feet above the ring and fastens it around his waist. Danhausen descends the ladder and takes it with him leaving Mr. Bob Backlund lying helplessly in the middle of the ring. Danhausen looks back to the ring from the stage, sees Backlund make it to his feet and Danhausen “shoots a curse” back towards the ring when suddenly the toilet comes loose and drops right down onto the head of the former challenger, knocking him unconscious. Very nice, very evil, very unsanitary.

Result: Danhausen squashes Bob Backlund in a Toilet Ladder Match to retain the WPW Boys Championship.

MTV Musical Segment: mc chris performs a medley of songs from his appearances on Aqua Teen Hunger Force including songs from MC PeePants, Sir Loin, and Little Brittle. He performs “I Want Candy” which makes Beavis excited for candy, shoving handfuls into his mouth. By the end of the song, Beavis has transformed into The Great Cornholio. Butthead tries to settle him down. Butthead announces that next month’s pay-per-view event will be THE BEEFENING, presented by MTV and airing LIVE on pay-per-view and for the first time ever on FiteTV.

    The challenger AJ Styles makes his entrance first followed by WPW World Champion Macho Man Randy Savage, making his entrance alone. Before the bell rings, Jay Lethal brings Allie Katch (“Liz”) out to ringside wearing a leash and handcuffs made of Slim Jims. For some reason, Jay Lethal has been itching his crotch a lot. Savage opens things up with a grinding headlock on Styles and a knee drop sends AJ out to the floor for safety. Macho and AJ begin brawling around ringside, Macho connects with a brutal piledriver on the outside, hurting the challenger and Macho sends him back into the ring. A running knee to the back from Macho sends AJ back through the ropes again. Macho attempts to hit Styles with a steel chair but the referee grabs it from his hands. Macho’s vaulting neck snap puts AJ in a tough position. Macho props AJ up, straddling the ropes and Macho kicks it underneath him, sending shockwaves through his yambag region. A series of neckbreaker clotheslines keeps the challenger off his feet. Macho sees his chance and leaps to the top turnbuckle, soaring from on high with his legendary FLYING ELBOW DROP, but AJ gets a Phenomenal Shoulder off the mat. A grueling piledriver causes AJ Styles to see stars. Macho climbs the ropes one more time, pointing to the Heavens before sending AJ Styles to Hell with another FLYING ELBOW DROP. Styles rolls out of the ring, unsuccessful in this attempt at the World Title, but the fans give him a hardee round of applause as he exits down the aisleway. Pomp & Circumstance blasts through the dry Nevada air and the Macho Era in WPW continues, but things will only get tougher for the World Champ.

In-Ring Segment: Macho Man Randy Savage, victorious, stands in the middle of the ring and the ref goes to bring him his championship belt when Jay Lethal grabs it from the referee and approaches Macho Man himself. Jay Lethal is overheard saying that Macho promised him a match, it’s in his contract: Jay Lethal gets the next shot at the title as he is handing Macho over his championship belt. Suddenly The Stroke Daddies appear on the screen and Venis says “Hellooooo Machooooo” and says the he and Sticky Ricky Starks are men of their word and, as promised, here is the shocking truth behind “The Lethal Alleys of WPW.” Starks puts the videotape in the VCR and we see the same footage we saw on Power Hour last week. “Stroke Daddies Productions presents: The Lethal Alleys of WPW, filmed LIVE @ BOYS ‘R’ US, starring, as Jay Lethal, “Swerve” Strickland.” Strickland walks into frame, wearing Jay Lethal’s trunks, and heading towards the backstage medical office. Swerve knocks on the door, opens it up, and there, lying unconscious on the exam table is Allie Katch, injured from her match with Leyla Hirsch. Swerve says, “It looks like you’re ready for your complete physical check-up Miss Elizabeth,” and Swerve starts to feel up the unconscious Allie Katch when suddenly the door flies open and it's Jay Lethal! Is he here to rescue poor Allie Katch from this disgusting assault?! Jay Lethal says “WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING? …. You were supposed to wait for me!” and then Jay Lethal and Swerve Strickland begin to double-team Allie Katch on the exam table.



“Turn that filth off!” Macho Man is livid. He is going nuts, thrashing around the ring saying “I’m gonna get you Lethal! I can’t believe you did this! I can’t believe you did this to Miss Elizabeth!” WPW security and officials and trying to subdue the World Champ. Jay Lethal leads Allie Katch away in Slim Jim handcuffs and she can be heard exclaiming “That’s not my name!”



MTV Segment: The Great Cornholio is still tearing up their living room looking for more candy and Butthead is trying to figure out where to watch the rest of that porno movie. Boioioioing.

WPW #22: Power Hour on MTV


Welcome to Power Hour on MTV coming to you live from the WPW Flex Zone, our portable arena currently erected in the parking lot of the Bi-Mart in Ellensburg, WA where they are having a sale on cowboy hats, aisles and aisles of them. Our musical guest this week is Reel Big Fish, whose punk/ska sounds pep up the Power Hour opening theme song.



In-Ring Promo: Pomp & Circumstance heralds the arrival of WPW World Champion Macho Man Randy Savage and the fans go crazy but he seems to be delayed in making his entrance. Unfortunately, we learn it is a swerve as “Swerve” Strickland’s theme song plays and from the curtain emerges #1 contender for the World Title Jay Lethal and “Swerve” Strickland who was involved with the production of Val Venis’s latest film project, “The Lethal Alleys of WPW,” which rubbed Macho the wrong way, to say the least. Lethal is tugging on what appears to be a rope made of Slim Jim and he drags out to the stage Allie Katch who is wearing an outfit reminiscent of Princess Leia’s slave outfit from Return of the Jedi, only made entirely of Slim Jim snack sticks. Lethal says that nobody in WPW saw it “coming,” well maybe Allie did. Lethal says he’s been down every dark, seedy alley in WPW, and now what he could really use is a cigarette. Lethal and Swerve laugh. Lethal wants to introduce everybody to his new associate Shane “Swerve” Strickland, and together they are The Black Lads, and they will be a force to be reckoned with in World Powerhouse Wrestling. Lethal will be counting down the days until THE LETHAL SAVAGES EXPLODE live on PPV and FiteTV at MTV presents WPW THE BEEFENING. At this time WPW Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper appears on the screen, broadcasting live from his home. There’s a lot of commotion happening off screen and Piper says that Macho Man is at his house tearing it apart. Macho is searching for every copy of “The Lethal Alleys of WPW” to destroy them and he heard that Piper had a copy, Bob Backlund told Macho that Piper showed it to him. Piper says this is ridiculous and it’s all The Black Lads’ fault. Piper says that The Black Lads will be wrestling in tonight’s main event and their opponents will be WPW Boys Champion Danhausen and a partner of his choosing.

Disco Inferno (1-3)
vs.
Tony Nese

    After only a brief tease on WPW IN HeAT we witness the WPW debut appearance of The Premier Athlete Tony Nese. Nese has an impeccable physique, unzipping his jacket and showing off his massive pectorals and washboard abdominals on his trek down the aisle to the ring. He hops up on to the apron and pec flexes in the Flex Zone. Disco Inferno should be worried. Nese and Disco go back and forth in the opening moves of this match until Nese hits a spinning heel kick that takes Disco down his knees in the middle of the ring and Nese hits a devastating running knee right to the skull of Disco Inferno. Nese comes off the ropes from the opposite direction and hits another brutal running knee. Nese comes off the ropes again smashing Disco in the head and with a glimmer in his eye, Nese takes off for the ropes hitting four in a row from all four directions, how is Disco still conscious? A reverse hurricanrana puts Disco down and Nese goes to the top and hits his 450 SPLASH finisher and goes for the pin but Disco barely gets a shoulder up. Nese pulls Disco up and hits a REVERSE PILEDRIVER and possibly due to his lackadaisical pin, Disco kicks out again. The Premier Athlete is frustrated now. Disco rolls to the outside and Nese follows. A wild brawl erupts, Disco tries to hit Tony Nese with a tiny disco ball but he misses and Nese takes it from him and hits Disco right in the yambag with his own gimmick and throws Disco back into the ring. A spider german suplex rattles Disco, Nese goes for the cover and Disco kicks out, blood beginning to dripple down into the eyes of the Inferno. Nese hits Disco with a spinning back elbow and blood goes flying, staining the white shirt of the referee. Nese hits a deadlift buckle bomb and missile dropkick knocking Disco outside. Nese throws him up onto the timekeeper’s table but disco kicks Nese between the legs doubling him over and hits a surprise Pedigree through the table. The referee tells them to get back into the ring and Disco rolls Nese back inside. Disco hits a diving forearm and goes for the pin but Nese kicks out. Disco hits a piledriver and body slam, Nese kicks out of another pin. Nese gets hit with a piledriver, rolls out to safety, but to meet the referee’s count he crawls helplessly back into danger. A swinging neckbreaker sends Nese back to the outside. Disco picks the ring bell up from the wreckage at ringside and dings it off Nese’s cranium before the ref grabs it from his hands but the damage is done. Disco rolls the lifeless corpse of The Premier Athlete back into the ring and Disco climbs up to the top turnbuckle. Disco may be taking a risk here and that proves true as Nese hops to his feet and catches Disco Inferno out of the air with a Codebreaker, the TONY KNEES and that knocks Disco out for good. Nese covers him for the 1-2-3. After the match, Tony Nese has a stack of pamphlets for his “Pec Flexing Seminar” he will be hosting at the airport Holiday Inn this weekend at 612 Wharf Ave. He says that anybody that wants to learn how to flex pecs like The Premier Athlete should show up.

Backstage Promo: Effy is backstage in the locker room and when he closes his locker door, standing there is MJF. MJF is not acting like his usual, abrasive self. He tells Effy that he hadn’t won a match in a while and was starting to feel a little “blue” and when teaming with Effy at WPW IN HeAT, getting that win felt good, real good. He wants Effy to make him feel that good again. He reaches out his hand and Effy makes it official.

    Bryan Danielson got the win over DDP at the pay-per-view, but after the match Jake Something, D-Meditation-X’s enforcer seemed to take sympathy on the defeated DDPY entrepreneur (because it's more than just yoga) and Bryan Danielson took that as an official resignation from their group. DDP makes his entrance shooting DDPY promo shirts from a T-shirt cannon and then Jake Something’s music hits to a big pop from the crowd. Jake makes his entrance sans D-Meditation-X for the first time here for this tag team contest. Being accompanied to the ring by their female bodyguard, “Legit” Leyla Hirsch, Bryan Danielson and Matt Sydal, D-Meditation-X, make their entrance. Now that Jake is out of the group, Leyla has her hands full with all of the crystals, singing bowls, and et cetera. Danielson and Sydal light sticks of sage that begin to shoot out like roman candles as they do crotch chops at the corners. Sydal starts this match against Jake. Jake hits two lariats to the back of the head of Sydal. Sydal tags out to Danielson who tosses Jake into the ropes, Danielson drops down, Jake hits the ropes again and gets into position to back drop the American Dragon but Danielson scouts it and plants Jake with an awesome piledriver. Jake bails to the outside and tries to grab a DDPY yoga mat and hit Danielson but the ref tells him to put it down and get back inside. Jake hits a Something Bomb on Danielson and goes for the pin but Danielson kicks out. He’s grabbing his midsection already. Jake hits another Something Bomb and you can hear as all the air escapes the American Dragon. Before Jake can attempt a pin Danielson rolls to the outside. He asks Leyla Hirsch to hold out some Amazonite crystals for him to recharge but he’s forced to roll helplessly back into the ring to meet the referee’s count. Something hits another Something Bomb. He’s really taking it out on his former boss/employer/guru. Danielson tries to leave the ring again, Jake follows him outside. Leyla Hirsch lights some Distraction Sage which fills the outside ring area with smoke. When the smoke clears there’s no hiding the fact that Jake Something is on top of the American Dragon Bryan Danielson trying to force a Malachite pillar down Danielson’s throat, the ref calls for the bell, disqualifying the disgruntled former enforcer. Danielson knew he wouldn’t last too much longer face-to-face with Jake and had to end this match ASAP. DDP is upset that nobody felt the bang this evening. Jake is still yelling that he wants a piece of the American Dragon, and not just a taste.

Backstage Promo: A different kind of smoke fills the air backstage as WPW Boys Champion Danhausen approaches Warhorse and Matt Riddle. Riddle has been telling Warhorse that he’d love to team up with Danhausen in the main event tag team match against The Black Lads tonight and Danhausen and Warhorse, the legendary team of Warhausen, haven't teamed together in a couple months, ever since Danhausen began his journey towards the Boys Title. Warhorse has been on a winning streak himself and may be eyeing a chance to procure WPW gold before too long, but Danhausen seeks strength in friendship and asks Warhorse to be his partner tonight. Warhorse agrees and leaves to go get ready for the match. Riddle, sad and rejected, mutters “Broooooooo” and slowly putters away on his scooter.

Backstage Promo: Jim Cornette is back stage with his client The Iron Sheik. Corny says he promised that Big Daddy Drew would regret ever crossing paths with the Cult Leader, he says he promised that Big Daddy Drew would be spending some time in the hospital, which is true. Drew was temporarily paralyzed after suffering an ENHANCED CAMEL CLUTCH from Shieky at WPW IN HeAT. Corny reiterates that Shieky is The Meat That Can’t Be Beat and he is going to hospitalize everybody in WPW that gets in his way. He says that Sheiky is throbbing at the chance to get in the ring with any champion that WPW can produce. Sheik says “F*** RANDY SAVAGE, F*** DANHAUSEN, F*** THE STROKE DADDIES” and begins to wax poetic on the dimensions of his immense member as Jim crams a handful of Nugenix Total-T into his mouth, spilling some on the floor. As Jim and Shieky make their exit, Bob Backlund quietly enters behind them and is picking all of the dick pills up off of the floor.

Eddie Kingston (1-1)

Brian Pillman Jr. (3-5)

    BPJ scored a surprising win over DDP a few weeks ago on Power Hour and Eddie Kingston is coming off a pay-per-view victory, his first in WPW, against The Commonwealth Kingpin Will Ospreay so this should prove to be an exciting contest. Kingston tries to open with a knee lift which is dodged by the more agile second generation athlete and countered with a dropkick, which Kingston deftly dodges himself before catching BPJ with some rapid-fire chops to the chest. A big Yakuza kick in the corner sends BPJ to the outside. Pillman seems to be looking up and praying for advice. Who might he be speaking to? He crawls back inside and spots Kingston climbing to the top turnbuckle and BPJ sprints up to meet him. A struggle takes place but BPJ superplexes the Man from Yonkers back into the ring. Kingston ducks a superkick and stomps BPJ in the head before hitting an uranage suplex and belly-to-belly suplex. More rapid-fire chops hurt Pillman and he stomps him in the head again before biting the forehead. A double clothesline puts both wrestlers down but Kingston recovers first hitting a Backfist from the Future sending BPJ outside. BPJ smashes Kingston into the announce table but is not disqualified. Action returns to the ring, a scoop powerslam hurts Kingston and a Death Valley Driver puts him down. A grounded knee strike and german suplex puts Kingston in a tough position. Kingston comes back with some signature rapid-fire chops, Pillman tosses Kingston into the ropes and Kingston smashes right through BPJ. A slingshot sunset flip dazes Kingston. Kingston puts BPJ down with a backdrop driver and goes for the first pin attempt of the match, BPJ kicking out at 2. Sliding D hurts Pillman. Pillman squeezes out a Michinoku Driver on Kingston but he cannot capitalize. Pillman hits a german suplex and pins Kingston who kicks out. Kingston hits a yakuza kick and goes for a pin, BPJ kicks out. Kingston climbs to the top but BPJ tosses him down off the top and gets fired up. Pillman appears to be talking to the sky again. Kingston hits a backhand chop and a final Yakuza kick. Kingston goes to the top who flies off the top hitting a picture-perfect crossbody on Pillman and scoring the 1-2-3. Kingston’s hand is raised in victory as BPJ sits in the corner of the ring looking up and crying out, “Why, Dad? What did I do wrong, dad?”

Backstage Promo: The Phenomenal AJ Styles says that he wasn’t successful taking the World Title from Macho Man, but Macho is clearly a legendary competitor and he’s not embarrassed in that loss. He says he’s putting all of the Con-Sphere-acy Theorists on note that he’s not going anywhere, he’s going to prove that he’s the best wrestler in the WPW, his feet aren’t flat, and that the “P” in WPW stands for “Phenomenal” and not “pussy,” as in “bucktooth,” which he is not. AJ also says he tried to buy a cowboy hat at Bi-Mart but they were all sold out and it may be a conspiracy against him, he’s going to look into it.

    Warhorse enters and then WPW Boys Champion Danhausen enters with his manager “Larry Legend” Zbyszko. Swerve Strickland made quite the impact on World Champ Macho by assaulting his female companion alongside Jay Lethal in The Stroke Daddies’ latest skin flick and The Black Lads are here to make a statement, being accompanied to the ring by “Their Main Ho” Allie Katch, which can’t please the World Champion, wherever he may be. Swerve starts things off with Warhorse. An arm scissors from Swerve hurts Warhorse but he bails to the outside. Warhorse hits Swerve with a Horsepowerslam and headbutts before striking him with a rising lariat. Swerve tags out to Jay Lethal who hits a springboard DDT and smashes Warhorse into the ringpost before hooking in a figure-four leglock but Danhausen reaches in and pulls Warhorse over the ropes. The ref tries to admonish him but Danhausen says, “What do you expect? I’m very evil.” A dragon suplex from Lethal and he goes for the pin, Warhorse kicks out. Lethal tags back out to Strickland, telling Swerve to “go for it.” Swerve hits a 450 splash and a gunshot knee, Warhorse dodges, and smashes Swerve right in the face with a brutal head butt. A running Horsepowerbomb and Horsepowerslam puts Swerve down and he leaves the ring. Warhorse throws him back inside and hooks in his SCORPION DEATHLOCK, but Lethal reciprocates and reaches in, dragging Swerve to the ropes to break the hold. Swerve rolls to the outside and is recuperating on the floor, he grabs Allie but gets his hands greasy from her Slim Jim bikini. Warhorse hits his DOUBLESTOMP off the apron onto Swerve and tosses him back in. Swerve, still trying to crawl away, gets back outside, but this time Warhorse climbs to the top turnbuckle and hits his DEATH BY DOUBLESTOMP from the top to the outside into the chest of Swerve Strickland. Strickland cannot recover. His fingers still greasy from the Slim Jims, preventing him getting a grip on the ropes and from beating the ref’s count. Ding ding ding.

Result: Warhausen d. The Black Lads by countout when Swerve was unable to return to the ring after a DEATH BY DOUBLESTOMP from Warhorse from the top rope to the outside

MTV Musical Segment: “Reel Big Fish” plays their song “Somebody Hates Me” from their 1998 album “Why Do They Rock So Hard?” Jay Lethal and Swerve, The Black Lads are trying to make their way back down the aisle when Macho Man Randy Savage shows up out of the blue and begins chasing Jay Lethal all around ringside. Swerve is trying to help but his hands are greasy from handling Allie and the Slim Jims. Macho chases Lethal past the bandstand and back through the entranceway while we see WPW Boys Champ Danhausen telling his manager “Larry Legend” Zbyszko that he needs to dance or be cursed while Warhorse is rocking out with the band. Macho Man chases Lethal out of the Flex Zone and into the Bi-Mart where he loses him in the grain & feed aisle.

WPW #23: Power Hour on MTV


Welcome to WPW Power Hour on MTV coming to you live from the Flex Zone, our portable arena currently erected outside of Charlie’s house in Starkville, MS. Tonight’s musical guest is Meatloaf who performs his own version of the Power Hour theme song, only it’s much, much longer and the lyrics were written by Jim Steinman. Meatloaf performs standing on a gothic staircase in front of a wind machine and by the time the song is over he has become a chubby vampire or something.



In-Ring Segment: Our program opens with the arrival of WPW World Champion Macho Man Randy Savage who makes his way to the ring to a big pop from the crowd but he doesn’t take the time to soak it in as he has serious business to attend to. “Swerve” Strickland’s theme song, the current theme song of The Black Lads, plays and out comes The Black Lads’ “Main Ho” Allie Katch, who seems to be caught between them and the champ, who insists that she is “Elizabeth.” Macho and Allie come face-to-face in the middle of the ring for the first time since she was taken from him by Jay Lethal. Macho tells “Elizabeth” that she’s with him now, she is safe, she doesn’t have to worry about Lethal and Strickland or Val Venis any more, and whatever they did to Liz, Macho says he’ll make them pay. Allie takes the mic from Macho and says that first, that's not her name, she’s not their prisoner, she can come and go as she pleases. She says she’s not upset with The Black Lads, nor does she have any beef with Val Venis, in fact, she has signed on to co-star in Venis’ follow-up to “The Lethal Alleys of WPW” entitled “Two in the Pinkel & One in the Finkel” and Macho Man freaks out, telling her to get out of the ring, he’s heard enough. Macho says he is going to get his revenge against everyone who has wronged him. First, he’s going to demolish that “pervert porn-pusher” Val Venis and shove a movie camera up his ass next week on Power Hour. The next week on “The Road to THE BEEFENING” Power Hour on MTV Macho is going to prove to “Swerve” Strickland whose house it really is and says something mildly racist about food stamps. And finally, in three short weeks at THE BEEFENING, Macho Man promises to utterly destroy Jay Lethal in the middle of the ring and prove that nothing will end the Macho Era in the WPW, and also, he’s not 100% sure, but he thinks he can somehow blame Hulk Hogan for Allie suddenly being into black dudes; everything is Hogan’s fault.

[MJF (5-8) & Effy (3-0)]

    United Empire make their entrance but Jeff Cobb is not accompanying his teammates because he is scheduled for action later this evening. Will Ospreay and the United Empire haven’t had many successes lately, but how will they fare against the hottest, newest tag team to form in WPW, MJEffy? MJF & Effy make their entrance together for the first time coming out to a remixed version of MJF’s theme song. MJF doesn’t seem too pleased about the song yet. The bell rings to start off the opening contest. MJF pokes Ospreay in the eye and spits in his face. Ospreay retaliates with a brutal one armed swinging neckbreaker. He follows up with a springboard OSCUTTER and goes for the pin but it is way too early in the match and MJF kicks out. Ospreay climbs to the top and hits his JUMP TUCK PRAY down onto MJF. Effy breaks the pin for MJF. Ospreay, frustrated, tags in ZSJ and instructs his man to “kill him.” A suicide dive and Sabre Driver hurts MJF and ZSJ rattles him with a penalty kick before popping him with an enziguiri. MJF rolls to safety to catch a breath and adjust himself, ZSJ follows him out and a wild brawl erupts. The ref gets the action back into the ring. ZSJ tags in Ospreay who goes to the top to attempt another aerial finishing maneuver but MJF rolls out of danger at the last possible moment leaving The Commonwealth Kingpin to commit aerial suicide in the middle of the ring. MJF with a hot tag to Effy who pats MJF on the ass on his way in the ring. Effy hooks the DRAG QUEEN SLEEPER in on Will Ospreay, ZSJ tries to save his partner but MJF pulls him off the apron to the outside. Ospreay gets the ropes barely. Effy goes up to the top rope but Ospreay summons the will to sprint up to meet Effy with a forearm to the jaw and leaps into an impressive hurricanrana from the top rope. Ospreay attempts his aerial finisher again but this time Effy is aware of his predicament and rolls to safety, letting Ospreay crash down hard. Effy rolls over and loops in the DRAG QUEEN SLEEPER, ZSJ distracts the ref but then MJF clocks him from out of nowhere with his diamond ring. Effy manages to put Will Ospreay down with the DRAG QUEEN SLEEPER, gives him a cheeky peck on the cheek, and victoriously hugs his partner in the middle of the ring. MJF is clearly a little skittish still, but warming up to the idea of being a team, having now earned two victories purely thanks to his partner Effy. MJF says that the remixed song sucks and wants a new one going forward.

Result: MJEffy d. United Empire by submission when Effy puts Will Ospreay out with the DRAG QUEEN SLEEPER

Backstage Promo: WPW Boys Champion Danhausen is backstage admiring his jar of teeth when Matt Riddle rides up on his scooter. Danhausen asks “Riddler” if he would like to see his Jar of Teethausen. Riddle says that he can see his reflection in the jar, and when he smiles it looks like his teeth are already in the jar, “whoa.” Anyway, “Riddler” tells “Brohausen” that he was really hoping that Danhausen was going to ask him to team up with him last week, and when he chose Warhorse as his partner, who is cool and all, but it really hurt Riddle’s feelings. Danhausen says that wasn’t “very nice” of him, despite being “very evil” and offers to smoke a “doobiehausen” together to make amends. Riddle pulls out a fat King Size RAW cone but Danhausen tells him to put that away and he pulls out a RAW Challenge Cone, 24 inches of herbal goodness. Danhausen says it is packed with a variety of herbs that he grew himself and he thinks “Riddler” will be “thoroughly impressed” with it. They spark it up, it starts to glow strange colors, and a ghost may have even come out of it in a puff of smoke. Riddle says “Thanks, Brohausen,” but he seems to have been elevated to heights even he rarely reaches, “I gotta get to the ring, bro, my match is next.”

Ted DiBiase

    Matt Riddle makes his entrance. He seems more spaced-out than usual, a vacant stare across his face, and he’s stumbling as he walks, clearly affected by Danhausen’s herbal offerings. “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase makes his entrance, surprising everyone with his debut appearance in World Powerhouse Wrestling. Riddle rubs his eyes, is this even real? Riddle tries to slow his breathing and focus before this matchup begins. Ding ding ding. DiBiase opens things up with a big clothesline taking Riddle off his feet. Riddle rolls to the outside but DiBiase follows, Riddle whips The Million Dollar Man into the announce table and Riddle tosses him back inside. Riddle hooks in the BROMISSION and DiBiase begins flailing wildly. It looks like DiBiase is about to power out of it when suddenly a look of determination sweeps across the face of Riddle, he means business and there is a wild spark in his eyes. Riddle digs deeper, pulls harder, suddenly the body of DiBiase goes limp, the ref frantically calls for the bell, but Riddle doesn’t let go. The ref is begging with him, pleading with him, but Riddle just screams, “CARROTS!!!” before finally letting go of his victim. Riddle stares out into nowhere as the ref cautiously goes to raise his hand, suddenly a familiar smirk creeps across Riddle’s lips and he smiles, “Sorry, Million Dollar Bro.” And Riddle leaves, not sure exactly what had come over him, clearly there was something strange about that ridiculous doobie of Danhausen, but did Danhausen know that would happen? Did he do it on purpose?

    Jim Cornette debuted his new business relationship two weeks ago at WPW IN HeAT with The Iron Sheik, a wild force in professional wrestling, and Jim seems to have found what he needs to control the beast, he has found his Achilles heel, his dependance on Nugenix Total-T, the testosterone supplement with the unique “Man Boosting Formula,” which also seems to have attracted Bob Backlund over the last few weeks. Corny is very confident in the abilities of his man and is sending The Ten Inch Terror out to take on another impressive athlete, United Empire’s Jeff Cobb. Sheik opens with a clothesline and goes for an abdominal stretch but Cobb powers out and hits a kneeling reverse piledriver. A pump handle fallaway slam hurts Sheiky Baby and Cobb follows up with two more. Cobb is making Sheiky his bitch. An overhead belly-to-belly suplex drops Sheiky right on his head. Sheik counters with a fireman’s carry. Sheik sends Cobb off the ropes and manages to clothesline Cobb with his genitalia, don’t ask me how. Sheik with a belly-to-belly suplex and chestbreaker, but Cobb reverses and sends Sheik into the turnbuckle who lifts a knee into the oncoming Cobb. A sidewinder suplex hurts Cobb and he rolls outside. Sheik follows and a wild brawl erupts. Sheik tosses him inside and wrenches in the CAMEL CLUTCH, but he hasn't powered up yet and Cobb gets a rope break. Cobb comes back with Bam Bams and another kneeling reverse piledriver. While the referee is distracted Corny blasts Cobb with his tennis racquet and Sheik takes over. Corny pours out a handful of Nugenix pills and crams them down the gullet of Sheiky Baby. Sheik hits a vertical suplex which sends Cobb outside who has no option but to crawl helplessly back inside. Sheik gets Cobb into a single-leg crab, not quite putting the same pressure on the spine as his Enhanced Camel Clutch, but he’s wrenching it in and won’t let go. Cobb grabs the rope but Sheiky pulls him back to center and goes deeper on the crab. Sheik releases his grip, floats around and suddenly has his CAMEL CLUTCH hooked in on the Hawaiian. Cobb won’t give up. Corny starts screaming at the ref, drawing his gaze, as Sheiky blasts Cobb with a loaded boot. Cobb catches himself in the corner, Sheik comes charging and Cobb dodges, Sheik’s head bouncing off the turnbuckle and Cobb rolls him up for a quick pin, Corny grabs Sheik’s foot and places it on the bottom rope to break the pin. Cornette is sweating profusely. Cobb takes Sheiky on a TOUR OF THE ISLANDS and Cornette, sweaty and exhausted, can’t offer any more help to his client and the ref counts Sheiky down for the 1-2-3. Corny gets in the ring and is standing over Sheiky, berating him, and it appears that he didn’t give Sheiky the Nugenix Total-T soon enough, they are just now kicking in, as evident by the growing threat in the pants of Corny’s man. Next time Corny will be sure to time the dosage better. Bob Backlund is suddenly noticed at ringside picking up any of the dick pills that Corny and Sheik spilled, how long has he been out there?

Video Segment: We are at the airport Holiday Inn at 612 Wharf Ave to witness the Pec Flexing Seminar being hosted by new WPW superstar, “The Premier Athlete” Tony Nese. He is set up at the head of a large conference room, but there are only a few people trickling in the door, and most are just going for the free coffee and donuts. Nese nervously checks his watch. Nese sees Disco Inferno walk past the door and hears a lot of commotion coming from the conference room next door and he goes to investigate. The conference room next door is packed wall-to-wall. Big Daddy Drew McIntyre is hosting his own Pec Flexing Workshop, promising that “You Can Be a Big Daddy, Too!” Kids are getting autographs, marks are getting their action figures signed, and women are lining up to get photographs with the Scottish Warrior. Nese is insanely jealous. “I can flex my pecs better than you! Look!” and Nese begins flexing his pecs, while impressive, this doesn’t seem to discourage Drew. Drew begins flexing his pectoral muscles back and forth, first slowly, then faster and 3 women nearby pass out and Effy gets weak in the knees. Nese is pissed. Drew just laughs and tells Tony Nese, “Stick around for the workshop, Tony. Even You Can Be a Big Daddy, Too!” and Nese storms out, ripping the sign off the convention hall door on his way out.

    Jake Something decided he no longer would provide his services to the group of D-Mediation-X following their treatment of wrestling legend Diamond Dallas Page, and Jake agreed to try DDPY (because it’s more than just yoga). Jake is bitter about his time acting as “enforcer” of such a group of dastardly heels and wants his revenge against the leader of the group, Jake’s former boss and guru, Bryan Danielson. Jake was disqualified last week for letting his anger get the better of him and trying to force a chakra crystal down his former teammate’s throat, and Danielson must be scared because he didn’t even have the balls to show up in his partner’s corner tonight. Jake starts with a chin lock on Sydal who counters out of it, hitting an enziguri. Sydal hits a top rope frankensteiner that sends Jake to the mat, through the ropes, and to the outside. Jake grabs Sydal the leg, drags him outside and then sends him smashing into a rolling cart that Leyla Hirsch is minding outside the ring that is full of crystals, pillars, sage, and etc. a wild brawl erupts between the two men before making it back into the squared circle. Sydal hits a standing moonsault. Jake is unfazed and hits an overhead suplex and low blow right to the yams of Sydal. Sydal must not have any yams because he counters immediately with a Cyclorama and Jake Something bails outside. Sydal hits the ropes and flies out of the ring with a tope suicida but Something catches him mid-air and smashes him down through D-Meditation-X’s Crystal Cart, sending gemstones, both rough and polished, flying all over the floor. Jake hits another low blow on Sydal and a lariat to the back of the head. Jake hits the MFKR on Matt Sydal and scores the pinfall, 1-2-3. Leyla Hirsch was busy picking up all of the crystals that got spilled during the wild brawl outside the ring and she couldn’t save Sydal. Jake calls Bryan Danielson a pussy for not showing up tonight, but Jake says it’s only a matter of time before The American Dragon will go extinct for good.

Result: Jake Something d. Matt Sydal by pinfall following MFKR.

    The Black Lads didn’t have the most auspicious debut in tag team action last week but they had WPW Boys Champion Danhausen and rising star Warhorse to contend against. This week they try their skill against a team we haven’t seen in action in WPW in over five months, the team of SoCal Unlimited, SCU. Daniels and Kazarian have Scorpio Sky in their corner and The Black Lads are accompanied by their “Main Ho” Allie Katch, who officially cut ties with Macho Man earlier this evening. All four men are at the ready and the bell rings to start off our main event of the evening. Jay Lethal starts things off with an eye rake on Kazarian. Lethal chokes Frankie on the ropes, Kazarian stumbles to his feet and falls victim to a sudden LETHAL INJECTION out of nowhere but Kaz kicks out. Lethal says he’s not here to play, he hooks in the KOJI CLUTCH and Kazarian immediately taps out. Ding ding ding. Lethal won’t relinquish the hold as Swerve grabs Daniels off the apron and begins beating him down. Scorpio Sky hits the ring with a steel chair to save his teammates but suddenly cracks Christopher Daniels in the head with the chair and then spins around and hits Kazarian in the face with the steel chair as well. The men begin shaking hands making it evident that Scorpio Sky is the newest member of The Black Lads.

Result: The Black Lads d. SCU when Kazarian taps out to Lethal’s KOJI CLUTCH

MTV Musical Segment: Meatloaf plays “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” from 1977’s “Bat Out of Hell” as The Black Lads join him on stage: newcomer Scorpio Sky, Swerve Strickland and #1 contender for the WPW World Title Jay Lethal along with their “Main Ho” Allie Katch.
