I played COTG a little bit when I was in high school (1999) and was recently re-introduced to it when I ordered the 2087 Re-imagining and dove into the color Legends and Indy sets. I wanted to show my wrestling buddy what Filsinger Games is all about and we've started a fed that we are playing together with generally 50-50 input, but I'm handling the write-ups and we are gradually learning and re-learning the game together.
These first few matches were literally "practice" matches as I was teaching him how the game is played. After a session or two of that, I asked him what our new fed is called and he decided "World Powerhouse Wrestling" (WPW) (as there is a local indy fed by the same name that is absolutely pathetic, we're rehabbing the name). We also decided that, like Impact, we will start by jumping around on small, obscure, or strange TV channels before a major network/PPV provider picks us up. We began assembling a roster of many of our favorites, our "Boys."
Expect WPW to be full of surprises, loads of juvenile humor and Jim Cornette worship.
Enjoy the ride, we sure are!
