WWL Spring 91
Week 4
Barcelona Conquistadors (0-3) @ Rome Empire (2-1)
(O) Pegasus (B) beat Vigilante (R) via DQ. Time: 3:37 Fatigue: none (MC) Spike (R) beat Battering Ram (B) via count out. Time: 6:27 Fatigue: Battering Ram-3, Spike-1 (ME) Raven (R) beat Dreadnaught (B) with W.A.R. Gun. Time: 3:39 Fatigue: Dreadnaught-1
Winner: Rome 2-1
Injuries: Battering Ram has a mild injury.
NOTES: The Opening match saw a DQ as Pegasus tossed Vigilante out of the ring and Vigilante pulled Pegasus out and attacked him. When he consistently ignored the ref's orders to return to the ring the ref ended the match. It was Vigilante's first DQ of the season - Spike evened up the game when he nailed Battering Ram with an atomic spike on the floor and Battering Ram could not make it back in the ring before the ten count --- Winless Dreadnaught came into the Main Event banged up and Raven took advantage of it. --- Surprisingly that was Raven's first win of the season. While Vigilante lost for the first time
Las Vegas Aces (2-1) @ Mexico City Fire (1-2)
(O) Whiplash (MC) beat Quasar (LV) with Thumbscrew. Time: 4:18 Fatigue: Whiplash-1 (MC) Soldier of Fortune (LV) beat Actagon (MC) with The Revenger. Time: 16:03 Fatigue: Soldier of Fortune-1, Actagon-3 (ME) Chaos (MC) beat Exo-King (LV) with Bow Of Defeat. Time: 4:03 Fatigue: Exo-King-4, Chaos-2
Winner: Mexico City 2-1
Injuries: Actagon has a serious injury. He is questionable for next week. Exo-King has a medium injury but should be ok to go next week.
NOTES: In the Opening match Quasar hit High Roller and got a close 2 1/2 before the kick out. Whiplash came back and won for the home team --- Actagon put up a good fight but tonight Solider of Fortune was too much --- With the game tied 1-1, the crowd started their Chaos chant but without the usual flair and fury. It seemed to bother Chaos early in the match. He tried an ill-advised sunset flip and Exo-King got a two count. King then applied the Death Vise but Chaos powered out of it in an impressive fashion. Chaos then went on to apply the Bow Of Defeat three times but King would not give up. In the end Chaos Stronghold almost got the win and the Bow Of Defeat right after it did. --- The crowd erupted with Chaos finally getting a win as did the Fire
Frankfurt Knights (2-1) @ London Red Coats (1-2)
(O)Commander Sam (F) beat Prodigy (L) with Sam's Atomic Drop. Time: 19:41 Fatigue: Commander Sam-3, Prodigy-3 (MC) Lance At-Las (L) beat Wolf (F) with Martian Manhandler. Time: 29:17 Fatigue: Wolf-2, Lance At-Las-3 (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Matador of M83 (F) with Cosmic Big Bang. Time: 4:46 Fatigue: Matador-1
Winner: London 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Commander Sam picked up his first win of the season in the Opening match. Prodigy was in the match as he is still fighting thru injuries but wanted to come back. They figured this was better than the Mid-Card against Wolf. There was worry on the London side that Prodigy aggravated his injury in the match but that was not the case. --- Wolf had the chance to win the game for Frankfurt but after almost half an hour of a brutal match Lance At-Las put him away --- Star Warrior went out and did what he does and London was back to .500 on the season
New York Titans (1-2) @ Los Angeles Stars (1-2)
(O) Comrade Terror (NY) beat Invincible Krakan (LA) with Comrade Neck Clutch. Time: 7:01 Fatigue: Comrade Terror-1 (MC) Dragonmaster (NY) beat Bishop Hell (LA) via DQ. Time: 9:21 Fatigue: Bishop Hell-4 (ME) Thantos (LA) beat Galactic Punisher (NY) with Masterlock. Time: 16:58 Fatigue: Galactic Punisher-1, Thantos-2
Winner: New York 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: After Comrade Terror got the win in the Opening match Dragonmaster was all over Bishop Hell in the Mid-Card trying to secure the game win for New York. After a few failed pin attempts Bishop Hell knew he was in trouble and needed a breather. He rolled to the floor but Dragonmaster came after him. Hell got desperate and hit Dragonmaster with a chair hoping the ref would not see but he did and called for the bell. That is Hell's second DQ of the season meaning he will be suspended next week --- An unhappy Thantos came out for the Main Event knowing the game was lost. Yet both he and Galactic Punisher did not take it easy and they both fought for pride. Thantos finally submitted Punisher to avoid the sweep. --- It was hard to tell who was more upset, the fans or Thantos. In his post-game interview Thantos said he thought LA was on the cusp of being great again and that is why he came. This is not what he expected.
Paris Legion (3-0) @ Glasgow Rangers (1-2)
(O) Skinhead (P) beat Incredible Badger (G) via DQ. Time: 3:13 Fatigue: none (MC) Massacre (P) beat Vengeance (G) via DQ. Time: 4:16 Fatigue: Vengeance-6 (ME) Bloodline (G) beat Mayhem (P) with Sharpshooter. Time: 1:11 Fatigue: none
Winner: Paris 2-1
Injuries: Vengeance has a light injury that should not keep him out of action.
NOTES: Justice wanted to go in this game but the Paris coach sat him just to be safe. Plus, he said the team is rolling and he did not want to rock the boat. Justice was not happy about the move. --- Skinhead seems to have a way of getting under his opponents, well skin. In the Opening match he left the ring and Incredible Badger followed him. They fought and Skinhead seemed to anger Badger causing him to go far and get the DQ. It is Badger's first DQ of the season. --- The announcers point out that we are on pace to get more DQ's than last season --- Massacre simply dominated Vengeance in the Mid-Card match in a battle of Aethrans. He used The Cleansing early and often. Including his second and third move of the match. He used it two more times later in the match. When they battled on the floor Vengeance just snapped and grabbed TV wires and choked Massacre to get disqualified. It was his first of the season. --- Bloodline made short work of Mayhem thanks to the Sharpshooter. It is likely Mayhem knew the game was won and did not want to take any unnecessary stress on his legs. It was his first loss of the season
Highlight Game of the Week.
Toronto Juggernauts (3-0) @ Chicago Muscle (1-2)
(O) Stalker (C) beat Dreggs (T) with Call Of The Wild. Time: 2:12 Fatigue: Dreggs-1 (MC) Massif (C) beat Janus (T) with Volcanic Drop. Time: 1:42 Fatigue: Janus-1 (ME) Bounty Hunter (C) beat Iron Mane via DQ. Time: 5:53 Fatigue: Bounty Hunter-1
Winner: Chicago 3-0
Injuries: None
NOTES: Toronto came in as the only undefeated team in the North American Conference and wanted to match Paris at 4-0. The night did not go their way. At all. --- Stalker tossed Dreggs to the floor then wiped him out with a Plancha. Dreggs did beat the 10 count but just barely. He got a Call Of The Wild for his effort and his first loss of the season --- Massif won pretty quickly once he got on the offense. He hit an overhead toss and covered for a two count. Then Massif went for his finisher and he got the victory which clinched the game for Chicago --- Perhaps it was frustration of a lost game that led to the Main Event finish. Iron Mane tossed Bounty Hunter out of the ring and went down and attacked him. He went too far and the ref called the match. --- So, not only did Toronto lose the game but they got swept. That could come back to hurt them down the road if they end up tied and it goes to match record
North American Conference Record (match results)
Toronto Juggernauts 3-1 (6-6) New York Titans 2-2 (7-5) Chicago Muscle 2-2 (7-5) Las Vegas Aces 2-2 (6-6) Mexico City Fire 2-2 (5-7) Los Angeles Stars 1-3 (5-7)

WWL Breaking News
Invincible Krakan has been traded to Mexico City
It is being reported that the Los Angeles Stars have traded Opening match specialist Invincible Krakan to Mexico City Fire. In return the Fire are sending Jack of Diamonds and a 2nd round pick in Spring 92. The word is Thantos is not happy with the performance of the Stars since his arrival and went to the GM about improving this team. This move is believed to be about opening cap space for LA as they will save $35K this season. That is if LA keeps Jack of Diamonds. There is talk they might cut him after the trade is finalized. That would save them an additional $90K on top of what they saved via the trade. For Mexico City it improves their lineup as Krakan is looked at as a better Opening match wrestler than Whiplash.
Stay tuned to ESPN Space for further updates as it is said Los Angles is working on a huge trade to shake things up and help put a better, more reliable lineup around Thantos. Of course, as some have pointed out the roster is a bit weak on the back end because Thantos insisted on LA drafting Thunder who is a project much like Pulsar Prime, just Pulsar at the time, was. The jury is still out on if Pulsar Prime has blossomed like Thantos thought he would. Time will tell the story of Thunder.

WWL Breaking News
Huge three-team trade involving Los Angeles, Frankfurt and Barcelona
The talk was LA was looking to shake things up and did they ever. They talked to the Frankfurt Knights and Barcelona Conquistadors and pulled off a three-team trade. The Los Angeles Stars sent Bishop Hell, the former Main Event guy before the arrival of Thantos, to Frankfurt and their 2nd round pick in Spring 92 to Barcelona. In return Barcelona send LA both Dreadnaught and Battering Ram. To complete the trade Frankfurt sent their 1st round pick in Spring 91 to Barcelona along with Antimatter. Let's hear from Howard Berman and Alice Bundy on their thoughts of this blockbuster deal.
Howard Berman: Thantos sure does like to shake things up, doesn't he? He got the LA GM to trade away 2/3 of the starting lineup and bring in two new guys. The question is, will it help the team win?
Alice Bundy: That is a fair question Howard. Dreadnaught has been by most accounts a bust since entering the WWL. He was a high draft pick and sent most of the first two seasons on IR. Then Barcelona made a big trade last season to get him, while on IR, for this season and the future. He has not won a match this season. As far as Battering Ram, he has been up and down over his career. My guess is Thantos thinks with him leading them they can turn things around. Of course, for LA's needs, the two of them just have to get at least one win each week and let Thantos do the rest. If they both win, then either Thantos can have an off night of LA gets a sweep.
Howard Berman: Did they win this trade? If not, who did?
Alice Bundy: It is too early to tell if they did but it is possible. They basically swapped Bishop Hell, who is good but struggling this season, for two guys of around the same level and it cost them only a 2nd round pick. It is possible Barcelona is the winner here but down the road. They got a 1st round pick and 2nd round pick in the Spring 91 draft. They got rid of two underperforming, and it could be said overpaid, guys in the process. They opened up a LOT Of cap space. They could sign a big free agent in the off season. The only thing is, most of the top guys are signed to more than just this season. They do have draft picks so they could trade for a high-ticket player that some other team wants to get rid of.
Howard Berman: The other thing to look at with Barcelona is their current roster. Pegasus is the only one who has wrestled this season. The other men on their roster are Antimatter, Man-Mountain and Executioner. All have been on the bench this season and Antimatter just arrived via the trade. Not a lot of experience there.
Alice Bundy: Nope but they are looking to the future. Especially with the possibility of the team being sold and moved to another city. Also, we just got word that they signed a FA to fill out their five-man roster. They signed U.S. Patriot to a 1 season deal at $80K.
Howard Berman: Nice pick up as he has supposedly improved in the off season and it is at a low cost. That just leaves Frankfurt. How do you think they did in the trade?
Alice Bundy: Again, it is hard to say now. After starting 2-0 they have gone 0-2 without Encubus. They need a spark to get things turned around and Bishop Hell could be the guy. He is a former Main Event guy so they can plug them where they see best. They will just have to wait till Week 6 as he has to sit out Week 5 for picking up his 2nd DQ of the season. He is on the last year of the contract so he may be motivated to do well in the second half of the season to get a new, higher contract. It basically cost Frankfurt a 1st round pick to see if he can save their season. Trading Anitmatter does not count because they would have had to cut someone after the trade otherwise to get under the salary cap.
Howard Berman: Well, there you have it. Maybe the biggest trade in WWL history. The interesting thing is it comes right before Las Vegas, Thantos's former team, visits Los Angeles. Thantos really wants to win that game so he can show he made the right call by signing with LA. Stay tuned to ESPN Space for all your late breaking WWL news and of course the games. For Alice Bundy I am Howard Berman and we will see you at the matches.
Los Angeles Stars get: Dreadnaught and Battering Ram
Frankfurt Knights get: Bishop Hell
Barcelona Conquistadors get: Frankfurt's 1st round pick Spring 92, Los Angeles's 2nd round pick Spring 92 and Antimatter

WWL Spring 91
Week 5
Glasgow Rangers (1-3) @ Barcelona Conquistadors (0-4)
(O) Antimatter (B) beat Incredible Badger (G) with Fusion Fist. Time: 2:53 Fatigue: none (MC) U.S. Patriot (B) beat Vengeance (G) with Adam's Atomic Blast. Time: 3:35 Fatigue: Vengeance-2 (ME) Bloodline (G) beat Pegasus (B) with Bloodline Vertibreaker. Time: 2:22 Fatigue: none
Winner: Barcelona 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Barcelona finally got a win this season and it was with two new faces in their lineup. --- In the Opening match Antimatter surprised Incredible Badger (snake eyes) who continues to struggle --- U.S. Patriot faced a hobbled Vengeance and hit a cross body block off the top rope then a Freedom Flyer that led to a 2 1/2 count. He followed up with his finisher and got the W --- Bloodline got a quick win to avoid the sweep
Chicago Muscle (2-2) @ Mexico City Fire (2-2)
(O) Stalker (C) beat Invincible Krakan (MC) with Call Of The Wild. Time: 15:42 Fatigue: Stalker-5, Invincible Krakan-2 (MC) Massif (C) beat Actagon (MC) via count out. Time: 12:52 Fatigue: Massif-1, Actagon-2 (ME) Chaos (MC) beat Bounty Hunter (C) with Chaos Stronghold. Time: 4:25 Fatigue: Bounty Hunter-2
Winner: Chicago 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The Opening match was between two men who already met in the first half of the season. Thanks to the trade. This was a brutal match that saw Stalker take a decent amount of damage. Both men hit their finisher early in the match but only got a one count. Krakan hit a second Falling Face Slam and was so close with a 2 1/2. Krakan then changed his game plan and used numerous gut wrenches and made a cover three times with no success. All of that was in the first ten minutes. Then slowly Stalker fought back. He hit a Call Of The Wild but Krakan kicked out. Stalker went to the top rope and jumped off hitting a big splash on Krakan. Then another Call Of The Wild and the three count. --- In the Mid-Card Actagon left the ring and Massif went to the floor and have him a nasty power slam. Actagon was unable to make it back into the ring --- Chaos had nothing to play for as Chicago had already won but he had his pride after a poor start and he got the win
Rome Empire (3-1) @ Frankfurt Knights (2-2)
(O) Vigilante (R) beat Commander Sam (F) with Hit Man's Clothesline. Time: 6:14 Fatigue: Commander Sam-1 (MC) Spike (R) beat Wolf (F) via DQ. Time: 3:35 Fatigue: Wolf-1 (ME) Matador of M83 (F) beat Raven (R) with a dropkick. Time: 23:15 Fatigue: Raven-5, Matador-3
Winner: Rome 2-1
Injuries: Raven has a light injury. This is a new one but will not affect his wrestling. Matador of M83 has a mild injury but will be fine to go.
NOTES: Frankfurt will have to wait a week before getting to see what Bishop Hell can do for them as he is serving a one-week suspension due to two DQ this season. --- Up one win Spike took the fight to Wolf in the Mid-Card. Spike with a running shoulder crash and cover. He then tossed Wolf out of the ring and went after him. A wild brawl that saw Wolf get nasty resulting in the DQ. This is his second DQ of the season. So, next week just as Bishop Hell makes his debut for Frankfurt Wolf will be sitting out on a suspension --- The Main Event was a long brutal affair between the two men. Matador of M83 made the first pin attempt of the match but not until around the 14-minute mark after a dropkick. He hit Bullwhip twice but did not get the win then. Raven used both of his finishers, Broadsword and Bladerunner, the second got him a 2 1/2. Finally, Matador picked up the win to avoid the sweep
Toronto Juggernauts (3-1) @ New York Titans (2-2)
(O) Dreggs (T) beat Comrade Terror (NY) with Twist And Shout. Time: 8:18 Fatigue: Dreggs-1, Comrade Terror-1 (MC) Dragonmaster (NY) beat Janus (T) with Dragon Drop. Time: 23:45 Fatigue: Janus-3 (ME) Iron Mane (T) beat Galactic Punisher (NY) with Beast Claw. Time: 6:21 Fatigue: none
Winner: Toronto 2-1
Injuries: Janus has a light injury but will not be bothered by it going forward.
NOTES: Dreggs used his finisher in the Opening match and Terror sure did shout --- Janus took a beating in a long match. He got sloppy near the end of the match and he lost. --- With the game tied up the fans felt the momentum New York had would continue. Iron Mane had other plans and Toronto got back on the winning road
London Red Coats (2-2) @ Paris Legion (4-0)
(O) Skinhead (P) beat Lance At-Las (L) with Tombstone Piledriver. Time: 4:27 Fatigue: Lance At-Las-2 (MC) Massacre (P) beat Prodigy (L) via count out. Time: 8:26 Fatigue: Prodigy-1 (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Mayhem (P) with Cosmic Big Bang. Time: 4:11 Fatigue: Mayhem-3
Winner: Paris 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Once again Skinhead started over Justice and got the win to get Paris off to a good start --- In the Mid-Card an injured Prodigy was on the floor and Massacre jumped off the apron and took him out with a Decapitator. That led to the count out --- Paris remained undefeated but could not get the shutout thanks to Star Warrior
Highlight Game of the Week.
Las Vegas Aces (2-2) @ Los Angeles Stars (1-3)
(O) Battering Ram (LA) beat Quasar (LV) with Battering Ram. Time: 9:47 Fatigue: Quasar-5 (MC) Dreadnaught (LA) beat Soldier of Fortune (LV) with Guided Missile. Time: 9:58 Fatigue: Soldier of Fortune-1, Dreadnaught-2 (ME) Exo-King (LV) beat Thantos (LA) with atomic drop. Time: 8:33 Fatigue: Exo-King-1, Thantos-2
Winner: Los Angeles 2-1
Injuries: Quasar has a medium injury. He will be hobbled next week but should be able to go.
NOTES: This was the Highlight Game of the Week not due to the team records as is usually the case but due to the drama of Thantos facing his former team. It had the added drama of LA having 2/3 of a new starting lineup after the massive three-team trade --- Los Angeles started the two men they got in the recent trade. Both men are injured but will give it a go --- Battering Ram dominated the match. He hit his finisher a couple times early in the match. Then he hit back-to-back Battering Rams, his 3rd and 4th overall, and got the pin --- When Dreadnaught beat Soldier of Fortune the LA crowd popped as they won the game. This was Dreadnaught's first win of the season. Perhaps the change of scenery WAS what he needed --- It is a funny irony that after getting wins in the first two matches Thantos would lose and to his former teammate on Las Vegas. It was a nice victory for Exo-King who seemed happy with himself after the match. It was Thantos's first loss of the season
North American Conference Record (match results)
Toronto Juggernauts 4-1 (8-7) Chicago Muscle 3-2 (9-6) New York Titans 2-3 (8-7) Las Vegas Aces 2-3 (7-8) Los Angeles Stars 2-3 (7-8) Mexico City Fire 2-3 (6-9)
European Conference

ESPN Space Special Presentation
WWL Mid-Season review
Howard Berman: Welcome to the WWL Mid-Season review and what a first half of the season it has been. I am joined as always by Alice Bundy. Alice, how would you describe the first half of the Spring 91 season?
Alice Bundy: Thanks Howard. In one word, crazy. We have seen season ending injuries, teams start hot and go into a tailspin and of course a major three-team trade.
Howard Berman: Crazy about sums it up. We have once again seen the defending WWL Cup champs struggle after winning the Cup. Of course, in this case it is the New York Titans and they started slow last season before going on a tear to end up winning the Cup.
Alice Bundy: True. Also, we are seeing once again a pair of teams that seem to be head and shoulders above the rest in the European Conference while it is very close in the North American Conference. Over in the European Conference it is Paris and Rome who seem to be on the way to the playoffs. While in the North American Conference Toronto seems to be the team to beat with Chicago a game back and everyone else two games back. It will be anyone's playoff spots to earn as we head into the second half.
Howard Berman: On the flip side, we see Barcelona and Glasgow struggling in the European Conference. Some have suggested they may be trying to tank which does not make sense as there will be no Fall 91 draft. Finishing last now gains a team no advantage.
Alice Bundy: More so for Glasgow who traded away their next 1st round pick, in Spring 92 Draft, to Toronto. If they tank, they will just help Toronto who do not need the help the way, they have played recently.
Howard Berman: Speaking of recent play, it has been only one week but so far, the mega trade has paid off for Los Angeles. Both men they received in the trade, Dreadnaught and Battering Ram, picked up a win in Week 5 to secure the victory for LA. Both wins were important as Thantos has a rare off night and lost. We are just about done with the review so let's make our picks for the playoffs. I will go first and pick the obvious in the European Conference and go with Paris and Rome making the playoffs with Paris going to the WWL Cup. In the North American Conference, I think it will be Toronto and a surging Los Angeles but Toronto goes to the Cup and in a bit of an upset defeats Paris. Who do you have Alice?
Alice Bundy: I will go with the safe bets in the European Conference of Paris and Rome with Paris going to the Cup. In the North American Conference, I see Chicago and Toronto with Chicago pulling the upset to get to the Cup but losing to Paris. NAC is hard to pick as New York, LA and Mexico City could all slide in. I just do not see Vegas making it and pretty sure Toronto will.
Howard Berman: It should be a wild ride as we go down the home stretch that is for sure. For Alice Bundy I am Howard Berman saying we will see you at the matches.

WWL Spring 91
Week 6
Las Angeles Stars (2-3) @ Mexico City Fire (2-3)
(O) Whiplash (MC) beat Battering Ram (LA) with Thumbscrew. Time: 9:18 Fatigue: Battering Ram-1, Whiplash-1 (MC) Dreadnaught (LA) beat Actagon (MC) with Guided Missile. Time: 9:02 Fatigue: Dreadnaught-1, Actagon-1 (ME) Chaos (MC) beat Thantos (LA) with Bow Of Defeat. Time: 21:36 Fatigue: Thantos-4, Chaos-1
Winner: Mexico City 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Whiplash got the home team off to a good start --- Dreadnaught continues to roll since arriving in LA as he tied the game up --- The Main Event was going to be good as two of the top men in WWL would go at it with the game on the line. The home fans brought out Chaos to the usual chant. He was looking for his first win against Thantos who was coming off a rare loss last week. The men put on a great match. Chaos had Thantos in the Bow Of Defeat three times in the first 10 minutes. Finally, after 20 minutes of brutal wrestling Chaos forced Thantos to give up. Chaos finally got a win over Thantos --- Meanwhile Thantos is on a very rare losing streak having lost two in a row. He has not won since the trade which is crazy seeing the trade has been a success so far. The two new men are 3-1.
Frankfurt Knights (2-3) @ Barcelona Conquistadors (1-4)
(O) Antimatter (B) beat Commander Sam (F) with Fusion Fist. Time: 4:20 Fatigue: none (MC) Bishop Hell (F) beat U.S. Patriot (B) with Hellfire. Time: 7:28 Fatigue: none (ME) Matador of M83 (F) beat Pegasus (B) with a one-leg karate kick. Time: 13:28 Fatigue: Matador-3, Pegaus-2
Winner: Frankfurt 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: With Wolf out due to a suspension Commander Sam had the chance to get the Knights off to a good start but he came up high and dry. --- Bishop Hell made his debut for Frankfurt and it was a nice one as he earned his first win of the season to even the game at 1-1 and give the Knights a chance to get back to .500 on the season --- Matador of M83 and Pegasus battled it out and each had a chance to win but it was Matador who came out on top --- Beating Barcelona this season is not a big achievement but the Frankfurt fans have to be happy going forward as they look solid in all three positions with Wolf back next week --- Barcelona has 12 match losses but they are not on pace to set a record. That belongs to London from last season with 22 losses. The irony is London set the current record for most match wins the season before with 24 and they only had 6 match losses that season
New York Titans (2-3) @ Chicago Muscle (3-2)
(O) Comrade Terror (NY) beat Stalker (C) with Atomic Warhead. Time: 20:06 Fatigue: Comrade Terror-5, Stalker-4 (MC) Massif (C) beat Dragonmaster (NY) with Volcanic Drop. Time:5:27 Fatigue: Dragonmaster-1, Massif-1 (ME) Galactic Punisher (NY) beat Bounty Hunter (C) with Verdict. Time: 6:23 Fatigue: Galactic Punisher-1, Bounty Hunter-5
Winner: New York 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: In a league of change one of the consistent things is the NY and Chicago matchups especially in the Main Event --- The Opening match was a brutal affair. Both men hit their finisher early in the match and came close to getting the win. Terror and Stalker hit their finisher 3 times on each other and none of those six pin attempts secured a victory. Finally, Terror picked up the hard-fought win. Both men were lucky to escape with no injuries --- The Mid-Card was slowly becoming a normal rivalry between Dragonmaster and Massif as they have faced off several times for their teams. This time Massif came out on top --- Once again the game would come down to the Main Event between Galactic Punisher and Bounty Hunter. Punisher lived up to his name in this one as he punished Hunter throughout the match. He had to use the Life Sentence three times as well as Verdict three times in the match to finally put Hunter away. Including hitting Life Sentence right before the Verdict that got him the W. As usual, their match was not very long but packed full of action
Glasgow Rangers (1-4) @ London Red Coats (2-3)
(O) Lance At-Las (L) beat King Lear (G) with Martian Manhandler. Time: 5:53 Fatigue: King Lear-1 (MC) Prodigy (L) beat Vengeance (G) via DQ. Time: 6:23 Fatigue: Vengeance-2, Prodigy-1 (ME) Bloodline (G) beat Star Warrior (L) with Cosmic Big Bang. Bloodline-2, Star Warrior-3
Winner: London 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Glasgow desperate to turn things around decide to sit Incredible Badger, who is winless this season, and put King Lear in the Opening match. It did not help --- Prodigy picked up his first win in WWL thanks to a DQ. Vengeance tossed him out of the ring and went out to continue the assault. Both men were brawling wildly and came close to the first ever double disqualification. Prodigy held back and let Vengeance have the DQ all to himself. It is his second of the season meaning he will be suspended next week --- The game belonged to London but the Main Event was between two men who take a lot of pride in what they do. Early on Bloodline used the Cetus Masterlock then decided to try a Cosmic Big Bang. He missed, letting Star Warrior go on the attack. At the end of the match Bloodline used the Cetus Masterlock a couple times to really wear Star Warrior down so when he tried the Cosmic Big Bang again Warrior could not move out of the way --- Bloodline has beat Star Warrior twice this season. In fact, Star Warrior only has two losses and both are to him
Toronto Juggernauts (4-1) @ Las Vegas Aces (2-3)
(O) Quasar (LV) beat Dreggs (T) with High Roller. Time: 5:52 Fatigue: Dreggs-2 Quasar-1 (MC) Janus (T) beat Soldier of Fortune (LV) with Gordian Knot. Time: 23:52 Fatigue: Janus-2, Soldier of Fortune-3 (ME) Iron Mane (T) beat Exo-King (LV) with Biting Roar. Time: 7:02 Fatigue: Exo-King-3
Winner: Toronto 2-1
Injuries: Soldier of Fortune has a serious injury. It will bother him for a few weeks but he should be ok to wrestle.
NOTES: The fans have started bringing plastic cups and containers with dice and shaking them during Quasar's matches, especially after he hits his finisher and after he wins. He had a slight injury to deal with going in but he still picked up the W --- The Mid-Card was a long match that saw Janus win again --- Iron Mane picked up the Main Event win to keep Toronto rolling and on top of the North American Conference --- The home fans were upset that the Aces could not build on Quasar's Opening match victory
Highlight Game of the Week.
Paris Legion (5-0) @ Rome Empire (4-1)
(O) Vigilante (R) beat Skinhead (P) via count out. Time: 19:37 Fatigue: Vigilante-1 (MC) Massacre (P) beat Spike (R) with falling knee crunch. Time: 3:52 Fatigue: Massacre-2 (ME) Raven (R) beat Mayhem (P) with Broadsword. Time: 12:00 Fatigue: Mayhem-6, Raven-5
Winner: Rome 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The reasons this was the Highlight Game of the Week are obvious. Two teams that sit on top of the European Conference battling for positioning. A possible preview of the European Conference Championship playoff game. A combined record of 9-1 with Rome's one loss being against Paris and on the road. A Paris win would give them a cushion over Rome. A Rome win would even things up in a lot of ways --- The atmosphere in the arena was that of a playoff game. It only intensified after each match --- In the Opening round Skinhead hit Bad Attitude early in the match and Vigilante kicked out with authority at one. On the floor hit a backbreaker and tossed Skinhead into the barricade. Skinhead could not beat the ten count and lost. It was his first loss of the season. Will this open the door for Justice to take back his position? --- Spike hit a Megadestroyer a couple minutes in but only got a two count. Massacre came back to get the win and tie the game up. It was only Spike's second loss on the season --- The Main Event had the feel of a championship match. The fans were on their feet hoping for a Raven win which would give Rome the win. Mayhem and Raven held nothing back in a brutal war. Raven made an early pin attempt then hit Bladerunner twice but could not get the three. Mayhem fought back and hit Danger Zone. Then the men end up on the floor brawling. Mayhem is in first and Raven struggles to get in but does at the 9 count. Mayhem hits a Lead Of Doom and gets a super close 2 1/2 then he attempted a second LOD but missed. Raven recovers and takes the fight to the floor. Raven wins the exchange and rolls in the ring as the ref counts. Mayhem gets in at 8 but looks out on his feet. Turns out there is still some fight in Mayhem as he fights back and after a Danger Zone gets another 2 1/2 but that seemed to take as much out of Mayhem as it did Raven. After Raven hits a Vulture DIve he gets his own 2 1/2 that had the fans ready to explode. At this point both men are busted open and bleeding. Finally, Raven hits a Broadsword and earns the three count. The fans go wild. --- While both men took a ton of damage, none have an injuries beyond bruises and cuts on their foreheads --- Raven wins for only the second time this season but what an important win it was. They tied Paris in the standings although currently Paris holds the tie breaker due to overall match record being better at 13 wins to 11 for Rome

WWL update
Frankfurt Knights have cut Commander Sam. They signed Mesmer to a 1 season deal at $70K to replace him. Word is they were looking at Mesmer and Mad Jester. While Jester had more matches and even post-season experience Mesmer had the better record at 6-6. With Wolf coming off suspension Mesmer would be a bench player used only as needed. Franfurt's lineup will be Matador of M83 in the Main Event, Bishop Hell in the Mid-Card and Wolf in the Opening match.
