Completely agree with this sentiment... I do think the game already takes the difficulty of tagging out on defense by reducing the number of opportunities as the wrestler goes from dazed to hurt to down... And to be honest, I was never really concerned about the difficulty anyhow since my feds are always a work. I adopted the rule simply because I found tag matches were consistently running too long... Disproportionately so when compared to singles matches... And this has made a real difference for me, bringing tag match runtimes more in line with the singles matches on the card. I can definitely see how the house rule would speed up tag matches. If youโre looking to increase the speed of tag matches even further, roll your PIN saves, Distractor Ratings and Outside Interference before rolling a PIN. It always gets the heart racing when a big +4 or +5 tag finisher is rolled, and I know that the team on defense is really up against it and that the match could end right now. Then if I get that 7-10 roll where the tag partner is stopped - oh boy. BIG dice roll coming next on the PIN. Had a team getting beat up badly come back and win w their big tag finisher recently in a scenario just like this. Match ended with just one PIN save between the two teams. Up until somewhat recently, I always rolled for Pin Saves, Outside Interference, etc. BEFORE I rolled for PIN... However, after hearing that others rolled AFTER, I decided to start doing the same... And here's why... Though I consider myself both promoter and matchmaker, I want to have as little input in actually booking my fed as possible... The virtual dice are my bookers... And for this to happen, I have to take myself out of the equation as much as possible... In fact, I would also use the advanced choices rule that Tournament Master talked about on a recent episode of Roll Up if I could consistently remember to keep it up... It's another excellent way to give the dice as much control over the match as possible. In essence, I want gameplay to tell me the story of each match as it happens... In this way, I get to become as much a part of the audience as possible.

For pin saves/interference, I always roll before... but they have to reach a 6 on their pin. If they're under a 6 pin, I wont do saves, interference, etc.

Great discussion here, making me rethink (pw) and (ag) a bit. Enjoyed reading all the various ways of doing things, good stuff!

I have always thought there should be a quick +/- calculation associated with pw/ag moves but have never put one in place...might have to try this one. But if I do so, I will wait until a "new year" so that I can note the change in my history as using a new house rule.
As for the tag rule...I am with Rob, 6 is not an easy roll to get and the number of tags decreases as you get lower down on defense. I could see going for Lvl 1 = 8, Lvl 2 = 7, and Lvl 3 = 6, but doing that, yeah tag matches are going to likely be longer, much longer if a team is "tag specialists".
And I have always rolled pin saves BEFORE the pin roll...to me doing it after eliminates ALL of the strategy out of when to attempt a PS or not. I mean, PS are always done before a pin in actual pro wrestling...

If we would have played YOUR way at Galacticon then you would NOT have won our challenge!!!! DREADNAUGHT (+3)So, our contest outcome was incorrect, so therefor I did NOT lose and therefor I'm getting NO tattoo!!!! Next year is for ALL the marbles!

Suspension on belief...while pro-wrestling is a "work" you suspend your belief that they are "really going at it", so do we really know when the pin is coming? ----- If we would have played YOUR way at Galacticon then you would NOT have won our challenge!!!! DREADNAUGHT (+3)Actually, we don't know...as I would have had to CHOOSE to attempt the PS when DoT hit his finisher. With as many pin tokens as Astarte had on him at taht point in the match I would have said I was going for the PS as that's the time to use it (it would have been a good strategic, no-brainer, decision at that point in the match). --- Looking forward to seeing your ink! Finals Coming in 2023!!!!

Maybe someday the Astarte cards left floating out there in people's hands will become collectors' items. I remember this guy, he's the one DISCIPLE OF TERROR killed.
