Very well done. I was worried with all of the teasing you did of the end of GCW and start of GWF that the execution wouldn't be good, but my worries were unfounded. This was done spectacularly. I can't wait to see what Thantos is going to have to say about this on the next show!

Spectacular ending! Thantos running the GCW into the ground only to have Omega and Sam come in and pick up the pieces...enjoyed how the exiled stars came back to deliver a little come-uppance! The next step is the one I can't wait to see...the future is here and the future looks bright! Solid work, mon ami.

Thanks guys, and yeah you called it Avarice! The return of the GWF. It was my plan for the first year, with so few wrestlers in 2087 I wanted a big story line. However, I still have the second half of the year to fill..

GWF 17 06.06.2087 from Vega Palladium, Lyra.
- Injury and Suspension Update. - Nothing to report.
- Doc Strongbow's News Roundup. - "Well fans, I'm back... and so is the GWF! What a great day for professional wrestling. I'd like to ask you all in joining me to thank Omega for all of his hard work in making this happen!"
As expected the crowd came to its feet in applause and cheering, filling the arena with a wave of sound. After a time, the Doc was able to continue speaking.
"I want to clarify that whilst I accept the offer to act as Commissioner for the GWF, I see it as a short term appointment. I'd like to think that someone more qualified will step into those shoes before long. I'm more at home here in my news round-up segment and acting as your roving reporter. However, that too may be short-lived. I'm not at a hundred percent following the beating I took from Thantos and his followers. But for now, and so long as I'm cleared medically to be here, its game on!"
The crowd erupted again, Doc Strongbow was a real favourite, in fact fans with a longer memory would recall him in ring action many years back, having been well past his prime at the foundation of the GWF he was a competitor in that particular fed for a very short time. The Doc, enjoying the reaction of the crowd continued.
"First up, Thantos isn't here tonight, he's at home nursing the injuries he sustained last week, though he's medically cleared to compete and seems to be in rude health, he has taken the night off. I commit to you, our marvelous fans, that he'll defend his title fair and square from now on. The Greek Gods and The Gladiators are both back to full strength tonight and will compete in a number one contender bout for the Galaxian Tag Titles, the winner to get a shot at the belts at our next PPV. Meanwhile, Star Warrior is back in singles action tonight!! He has however committed to defend the tag titles with his father next week against the Space Croppers. But back to tonight, joining me now.. please give it up for Wolf!!"
Doc: "Wolf, thanks for joining us tonight. Following your resignation some weeks back, many feared that we'd never see you in the ring again, what's changed?"
Wolf: "Wooo.. I'm back! I want to thank Proteus who gave up a great deal of his time to train with me following my resignation. He convinced me to come back and give this wrestling thing one more shot. I ain't convinced I'm staying yet, but I'm gonna give it a go against the Mutant tonight and then go from there!"
Doc: "Wolf, that is great news.. we're all damn glad to see you back. I don't think you could ask for a better friend than Proteus.. good luck to you tonight."
The two men shook hands, before Wolf turned and let out his customary blood curdling scream.. his music hit and he bounded down toward the ring, seems he felt that there was really no time like the present!
- Singles Bout - Wolf vs. Mutant Wolf defeated Mutant with a face slam at 14:16 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Wolf looked a little ring rusty, though he did enough to win it was hardly a classic performance. Not once did he manage to lock on his SAVAGE FACE CLAW. But he seemed pleased enough with the result, he climbed the turnbuckle after the bell and let rip with his famous "wolf cry" sending his many fans into a similar sounding call. Then he was gone, running back out of the arena at a full sprint, he seemed to have lost none of his old energy and the fans seemed thrilled to have him back.
- Singles Bout - Invincible Krakan vs. Pulsar Invincible Krakan defeated Pulsar with a FALLING FACE SLAM at 14:46 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Krakan finally proved too good and too strong for Pulsar, but the young titan sure put up a great fight. He got the crowd on his side early with his acrobatic and daring style, showing yet again why he remains one of the GWF's most popular competitors. Krakan seemed doubly motivated however, there seems a change in the air. Perhaps its the fact that he feels like he may be able to earn a title shot now. Such motivation could well be the reason for his increased endeavour between the ropes.
- Singles Bout - Lord Nexus vs. Comrade Terror Comrade Terror defeated Lord Nexus with an ATOMIC WARHEAD at 11:25 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: It took three ATOMIC WARHEAD'S to claim the victory, but after Terror hit two of them in the early going, he always looked favourite for the win. Being hit by such aggressive moves so early seemed to disorientate Nexus, though he fought well, he missed a couple of daring maneuvers that he would normally expect to connect with.
- Singles Bout - Exo-King vs. Renegade Exo-King defeated Renegade with a flying body crusher at 11:58 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: This has to go down as one of the greatest match-ups of the year so far, the action going back and forth between the two men. A number of wild exchanges saw the balance of power shift any number of times. It seemed that by the end of the bout it was Exo-Kings greater power that proved the difference maker.
- Singles Bout - Commander Sam vs. Executioner Commander Sam defeated Executioner with an abdominal stretch at 12:13 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Sam ended another great bout on an evening filled with them. Executioner proved a very worthy opponent stretching Sam at every turn. Both men showed that they enjoy a good fight, as the bout wore on Sam began to turn the screw, his legendary battling skills came to the fore and as the match degenerated into a brawl he gained the upper hand.
- Number One Challenger Bout -
- Tag Team Bout - Greek Gods vs. Gladiators of Aethra Massacre defeated Proteus with a DECAPITATOR at 9:17 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: The Gladiators stormed back into the GWF, met head on by the freshly reunited Greek Gods. Neither team gave an inch as the match unfolded, the fans lapped up the action clearly delighted to see the four men back in the ring again. While it was a close encounter, the Gladiators seemed to have the edge most of the time. With their title shot in the bag they celebrated all the way back to changing rooms.
- Singles Bout - Star Warrior vs. Killer Queen Star Warrior defeated Killer Queen with a NOVA LAUNCH at 0:29 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Ok, so Star Warrior's return to singles action didn't last long. He softened Queen up with a series of combo punches then went for his finisher, it was as easy as that! The crowd loved it, seeming to delight in the easiness of the win, as Star Warrior celebrated in the ring they started a chorus of chants to honour their hero. As the show faded to black it was clear that all the fans wanted was to to get Thantos and Star Warrior head to head in the ring. Today we saw an evening filled with basic matches, yet each was electrifying in its own right. The future of the GWF looks bright.

GWF 18 06.13.2087 from Castor Twin Towers, Gemini
- Injury and Suspension Update. - Nothing to report.
- Doc Strongbow's News Roundup. - "Welcome and good evening. We move forward into the second week of the newly reformed GWF. Things are still settling down at the moment. Wolf has made it clear that he continues to rebuild his career and tonight he faces off against fellow Gladiator Massacre in a one-on-one match up! The fighting champions Bloodline will be defending their tag team titles tonight. Both Star Warrior and Omega have declared themselves keen to put the belts on the line at every opportunity! On that note, earlier this evening The Henchmen appealed for a title shot, claiming that as former champions they should be first in line. I've given them my word that they'll get that shot before the next PPV. Despite their despicable attack on me, I want to confirm that I will be a fair and even minded Commissioner no matter how long may tenure may last. Talking about despicable, let me introduce my guest tonight.. our reigning Galaxian Champion, its Thantos!"
Doc: "Thantos, thank you for joining us. You've held that title belt for nearly six months now, is there no need in sight?"
Thantos: "I can't see any man capable of beating me. I've beaten everybody this year, I'll continue to do so. I'm the greatest champion in living memory!"
Doc: "Omega may have something to say about that! how do you feel now that the GCW is dead?"
Thantos: "Omega! Ha! He was never in my league. As for the GCW, I'm sorry to see it come to an end. The fans will never get to see the wrestling nirvana that I was leading us into. The scum that I got rid of has returned. I suppose I'll just have to beat everyone again, and dominate the GWF instead!"
Doc: "Well, no end in sight to your ego Thantos.. I note that you've declined the offer to compete tonight. What's your reasoning for this?"
Thantos: "First, you gave me that champions choice. Secondly, the fans here in this flea-pit of an arena don't deserve to see me in the ring. I've granted them a moment of my time, that's more than they deserve!"
The fans started to roar their disapproval, making it clear that Thantos' words were deeply unpopular. So much so in fact, that the interview came to a premature close. The champion left with a shrug of his shoulders and an ill-tempered growl.
- Singles Bout - Vanity vs. Pulsar Pulsar defeated Vanity with a Boston crab at 9:47 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: The fans loved the opening bout of the evening, any chance to see the popular Pulsar always goes down well. The two men fought with a real passion, battling tirelessly to bring the crowd to their feet time and again. Vanity found himself pinned on two occasions, managing to kick out both times. Finally the Boston crab proved too much for him, forced to tap out as the young Titan cinched in the hold and just wouldn't let go.
- Singles Bout - Exo-King vs. Pit Viper Exo-King defeated Pit Viper with a DEATH VISE at 3:59 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: The mighty Exo-King managed to force Pit-Viper to concede with his fearsome DEATH VISE. In truth it was a one sided encounter, King inflicted early damage with a massive skullcrusher. That seemed to shake Viper and he was unable to stage much of his usual fight plan.
- Singles Bout - Commander Sam vs. Ghengis Khan Commander Sam defeated Ghengis Khan with a running slingshot at 4:50 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: This proved to be a fairly routine win for Sam, he was on the offensive the whole contest and never looked in any trouble. Bad day at the office for Khan. There seems to be a growing feeling amid many GWF fans that Commander Sam may have one last Galaxian Title reign in him before he retires. He's always been popular and that seems to only be growing as he reaches the twilight of his career.
- Tag Team Bout - Greek Gods vs. The Henchmen Comrade Terror defeated Actagon with a Disqualification at 10:47 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: This match ended in a brawl, The Henchmen seemed to cheat their way through the bout from beginning to end. Every opportunity to bend the rules was taken and clearly they are very good at doing so. Shame then that Actagon is not so proficient a rule-breaker! He made one illegal move outside of the ring, retaliating with a chair shot of his own and promptly getting caught red handed in the act.
- Singles Bout - Massif vs. Killer Queen Massif defeated Killer Queen with a Massif Power Slam at 8:31 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Massif was in the driving seat all bout really, he rarely looked in any trouble, Killer Queen managed to evade or partially evade most of the power moves from the big man, but was absorbing enough damage to slow him down. When Massif then hit with his namesake power slam it just knocked the wind and fight from his opponent, the three count coming as no real surprise.
- Singles Bout - Wolf vs. Massacre Massacre defeated Wolf with a DECAPITATOR at 8:03 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Massacre grabbed a great victory, overturning the favourite Wolf with a great display of wrestling skills. He hit both his finishers on the wildman before he would stay down. Though Wolf's return to the GWF hit the rails here, he shows no sign of quitting again. Such a popular athlete has the backing of the fans even when he's clearly struggling for form.
- Tag Team Title Bout -
- Tag Team Bout - Bloodline vs. Neptunian Space-Croppers for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Omega defeated Renegade with a TOMAHAWK THRUST at 13:33 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Omega rolled back the years as he and Star Warrior kept a firm hold of the Tag title belts. The younger man sure played his part, but it was the living legend, Omega, who had the final say. It took two TOMAHAWK THRUSTS to put Renegade down, but once he hit the canvas he stayed there! Could it be that this father and son team are finding their way toward becoming a great pair of champions?
- Titan Death Match - Lord Nexus vs. Invincible Krakan Lord Nexus defeated Invincible Krakan with a TITAN DROP at 12:55 Match Rating: 5.00 Match Notes: A real five star performance from Lord Nexus, he had Krakan pinned on five separate occasions before his nemesis would fail to kick out. An increasingly desperate Krakan took to the turnbuckle for a deathjump, not his normal gameplan at all, he missed the move and then immediately fell victim to the TITAN DROP. After the bell, Nexus stood in the ring, miming the wearing of the championship belt, clearly he feels that he should be considered the number one contender for Thantos' title. He was still gesticulating in such a manner as the show went off air.

I'm really liking this Bloodline tag team. I wish I had thought to do that in my fed when Star Warrior was struggling.

I kinda like the Bloodline tag team too.. I thought it would add extra fire when years later Star Warriors son takes to the ring. Adds to the betrayal if he uses the same name!
No sign yet of anyone shutting Thantos up, though Star Warrior is making waves in the rankings. I can see these two men colliding soon!

GWF 19 06.20.2087 from Praesepe Tower, Cancer.
- Injury and Suspension Update. - Nothing to report.
- Doc Strongbow's News Roundup. - Welcome fans, well here we are just a couple of weeks away from our next PPV event 'Crackdown'. We'll see both our titles defended on the night. We know that the Gladiators will be challenging, but its not decided yet who will be defending, we'll know that next week as Bloodline face The Henchmen. Then we'll see Thantos defend his title, next week Lord Nexus and Massif go one on one to decide who will be stepping into the ring with the champion.
But back to tonight. Star Warrior takes on Exo-King as both men seek to make waves up the rankings toward that elusive title. Thantos is in action against Proteus, in what he calls a simple warm up before his title defence at Crackdown. In what could be the hottest bout of the night, we have Wolf taking on Executioner in a Cosmic Cage Bout. There is no doubt that the wildman is still upset at himself for not reaching his potential this year.
Now, down to the ring, lets get tonight underway. Should be a great show!
- Singles Bout - Omega vs. Pit Viper Pit Viper defeated Omega with a Snake Bite at 11:13 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Pit Viper took a couple of TOMAHAWK THRUSTS as Omega put in a good show. The younger man however had the better of things for the most part, though he seemed a little awed at first. Who could blame him? Omega, the living legend is a man to be hugely respected.
- Singles Bout - Massif vs. Vanity Massif defeated Vanity with a VOLCANIC DROP at 1:39 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: A simple, effective and easy win for Massif. He seems in good form ahead of next weeks encounter with Lord Nexus. There never seemed any doubt in tonights bout, it was one way traffic from first to last.
- Singles Bout - Comrade Terror vs. Killer Queen Comrade Terror defeated Killer Queen with a flying skullcrusher at 8:01 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: No real surprise here, Comrade Terror dominated Killer Queen, his greater strength earning him the win. The beaten Queen had tried to dazzle his opponent with his usual flambouyant antics, however Terror was having none of it and simply smashed his cavorting competitor mercilessly.
- Cosmic Cage Bout - Wolf vs. Executioner Wolf defeated Executioner with a SAVAGE FACE CLAW at 10:49 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: This was a match of sheer brutality! It was never going to be pretty with these two men involved. Executioner found himself bleeding pretty early on, before staging a great comeback and battering Wolf mercilessly, he had three pin attempts in swift succession, busting wolf open in the meantime. Then perhaps in an act of desperation the SAVAGE FACE CLAW proved the difference maker.
- Singles Bout - Invincible Krakan vs. Commander Sam Commander Sam defeated Invincible Krakan with a Disqualification at 7:26 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: This was an ill tempered bout from the first bell, a series of increasingly brutal and basic assaults were traded between the two men. The Disqualification always looked likely though it was never clear who would get that decision. The encounter ended with both men trading blows outside of the ring, they had to be separated by several officials with both men bellowing threats at the other.
- Singles Bout - Star Warrior vs. Exo-King Star Warrior defeated Exo-King with a NOVA LAUNCH at 1:25 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Star Warrior made light work of what could have been a tricky encounter. Exo-King never got going, he was completely outclassed by his fan-favourite opponent. Now that he's back in singles competition Star Warrior is making a big push to put himself into the title picture. Will Thantos soon be looking over his shoulder?
- Tag Team Bout - Gladiators of Aethra vs. Neptunian Space-Croppers Massacre defeated Beast-Rider with a DECAPITATOR at 24:28 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: There may not be many teams in the Tag world at present, but damn its competitive! The Gladiators took a hard fought win in the end, The Space Croppers showed great form again, but with a title shot coming up at Crackdown, Brute & Massacre showed why they may just be favourites to reclaim the belts.
- Singles Bout - Thantos vs. Proteus Thantos defeated Proteus with a MASTERLOCK at 8:20 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Thantos' unbeaten run shows no sign of letting up. Though Proteus proved genuinely competitive to begin with, he was soon shown to be somewhat outclassed. There aren't many men who can survive the MASTERLOCK and it seems that Proteus isn't one of them! The champion will now go into his next defence at Crackdown having held the title for six months.
Overall Card Rating: 2.91
