I have a hard time seeing Stevens as a face. He's working well with Bockwinkel in my fed. Put him in a heel tag team. I'm not ready to abandon the Stevens-as-face experiment just yet. I'm not ready to abandon the Stevens-as-face experiment just yet. Right now the balance of power in the Association tag division is on the heel side (though that may change when Gordy comes back from injury and starts teaming with Williams). I might do a test match or two with Stevens in a face team with either Bullet Bob or Duggan.

[glow=blue,2,300]Breaking News[/glow]
Johnny Fairplay, Association spokesperson, announced three big additions to the up coming card at the Big Cat in Denton Texas. After a classic battle two weeks ago in Arlington, The Love Brothers and The James Gang will lock horns again this week. This time in solo action as B.G. James will take on Hartford Love one on one. Also, a six man tag team match has been added that will see Hacksaw Jim Duggan join forces with Paul London & Brian Kendrick to take on the team of Justin Credible and The Mongols. Finally, the stakes in the main event just got higher, as Fairplay announced that the showdown between ”Exotic” Adrian Street and ”Dr. Death” Steve Williams will be a lumberjack match!
[glow=purple,2,300]Power 10[/glow] 1) The Mega-Bucks (1,-) The tag team champions were not in action this week, but made their presence felt, interfering in the contest between The Mountie and Virgil. With only three weeks until the duo make their first title defense, the champs are secure in their spot for a little while still.
2) The Mountie (4,+2) Speaking of, The Mountie dominated Virgil and continued to show no fear of facing the massive Andre. His courage has impressed Association HQ, even if his judgment hasn’t.
3) Rob Van Dam (-) Did you see how easily RVD dismissed Bob Orton Sr.? I asked because I blinked and missed it. Orton is claiming that it wasn’t an official match and as such he states that he is still undefeated. He looked pretty defeated to me. 4) ”Exotic” Adrian Street (-) Street struggled some against Brad Armstrong, but with a little help from his cohort Virgil, the Exotic One was able to come away with the win. He’ll need more then Virgil’s help though if he plans on surviving next week’s appointment with Dr. Death! 5) The Iron Sheik (-) The Iron Sheik manhandled Ray Stevens, mostly thanks to his allegedly loaded boot. He might want to wear two loaded boots when he faces Bruiser Brody in the second round of the Heavyweight Title tournament... Maybe a loaded glove and a loaded hat too. 6) Bruiser Brody (-) Brody took it right to the massive King Kong Bundy and out brawled the big man to make it into the second round. He might have some trouble trying to brawl his way all the way to the title, as he faces an AAU Champion in the next round. 7) The Destroyer(-) Unquestionably, The battle between The Destroyer and Bob Armstrong was the best match of the first round so far. Also unquestionable is who came out on top. 8) Sky Low Low(5,-3) What is the deal with this midget? Last week he threw Little Beaver into a steel guardrail, this week he tries to help Justin Credible cane L.B! 9) The James Gang (3,-6) Missing in action this week were Kip and B.G. But, they’ll be back in action, or at least B.G. will be, this week at the Big Cat. 10) Bob Armstrong (2,-8) Bob put up a hell of a fight against the Destroyer, but came up just short. Bullet is 1-and-1 now, and the coming weeks will tell which way his time in the Association will go.
On the outside looking in: Justin Credible, Brad Armstrong, & Greg Valentine’s alarm clock

Wrestling Championship Association presented by The Guilty Party Card 1.3 01/18 The Kitty Magee Arena, Denton Texas
The Kitty Magee Arena, which we like to call “The Big Cat”, is normally home to the student athletes of the Texas Woman’s University Pioneers, but tonight it was home to the mayhem and majesty of The Association. The biggest main event in our brief history was on the card and it was a night of surprises as well.
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 1 match One Man Gang defeated Masked Superstar via pinfall Masked Superstar jumped the massive Gang before the introductions were through, trying to gain an early advantage and neutralize Gang’s considerable size advantage. It didn’t work as Gang quickly countered the attack and decimated Masked Superstar. With the crowd behind him, the big man connected with his 747 Splash and got the win to move on. While Gang high-fived fans on his way back to the locker room, Masked Superstar complained to the referee.
B.G. James defeated Hartford Love (with Big Daddy Dink) via submission Two weeks ago, these two met as part of a tag team classic, tonight, their one-on-one encounter did not disappoint. The action was fast paced and back and forth. At one point, it looked like B.G. James had the win following a DDT, but Big Daddy Dink distracted referee Gregg Lawrence, who responded by sending Humperdink back to the locker room! Big Daddy Dink’s charge soon followed, as B.G. James locked on the hold made famous by his father, The Sleeperhold, to get the win.
Brian Kendrick, Paul London, & Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Justin Credible & The Mongols via disqualification This one broke down fast. The Mongols have been calling their first round loss to the duo of London and Kendrick in the tag titles tournament a fluke, and last week, Duggan saved Little Beaver from a caning by Justin Credible, so there was a lot of bad blood in the ring. After only a few minutes, the action spilled out of the ring, where Beepo Mongol was disqualified for throwing Duggan head first into the barricade that separated the fans from the action. The threesomes continued to brawl, with Credible using his Singapore Cane on all three of his foes! The dastardly Croatians and self-described “Impact Player” left the ring holding their hands up in triumph, regardless of the official outcome.
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 1 match Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka defeated ”The Terrible Turk” Youssuf Ishmaelo via pinfall As this match got underway, there was a commotion in the crowd as the beautiful April Hunter was escorted to a front row seat by a suit clad John Pesek. While the Nebraska Tiger Man watched the crowd to make sure no one disturbed Miss Hunter, April could be seen taking notes as the match progressed. As for the match itself, there wasn’t much to note. The Turk lived up to the terrible part of his nick name. He never managed to figure out the riddle of Snuka’s high flying, higher impact offense. Snuka quickly put Ishmaelo away with the Superfly Leap to advance to the second round!
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 1 match Killer Kowalski defeated D-Lo Brown via submission This wasn’t a terribly competitive match, as Kowalski was in control for most of the match. What was remarkable about this match was the toughness displayed by D-Lo Brown! Despite suffering a terrible beating at Kowalski’s hands that included being on the receiving end of multiple “Bombs Away” knee drops, Brown kept fighting. Finally, Kowalski appeared to grow tired of playing with his food, so to speak, and applied his feared Kowalski Claw! Though Brown refused to give up, the referee stopped the match to prevent serious injury. Kowalski left the ring to a chorus of boos, while Brown (who refused assistance) got a rousing cheer on his way to the back.
Bob Orton Sr. defeated Rob Van Dam in an arm wrestling challenge Cowboy Bob (the elder) came to the ring, accompanied by referee Bill Alfonso and two members of the ring crew who carried with them an arm wrestling table. Orton got on the mic and began running down RVD, stating that the loss he suffered at Van Dam’s hands last week in New Orleans wasn’t an official match, so it didn’t count. He then declared that there was no athletic activity that he couldn’t beat RVD at, and proceeded to challenge him to an arm wrestling match! RVD came out and suggested that they just wrestle instead, but Orton insisted that they arm wrestle. RVD agreed and they quickly locked up with Alfonso officiating. The two proved to be fairly evenly matched, but with the crowd behind him, RVD started to turn the tide! RVD was on the verge of victory, when Orton spat right in his face! This shocked and distracted RVD, allowing Orton to quickly pin RVD’s arm. Orton jumped out of the ring and started celebrating like he had just won the heavyweight championship, the Superbowl, and a date with a porn star all on the night. RVD complained to Alfonso about the way in which Orton had cheated, but Alfonso claimed not to have seen it, despite having been looking right at the two men when it happened.
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 1 match Curt Hennig defeated Al Snow via pinfall This was easily the match of the night. Hennig may have underestimated Al Snow, believing that his superior athleticism and technical proficiency would be more then enough to handle the delusional Snow. Snow however took control of the match early with his innovative and unconventional offense. The two traded the offense repeatedly, as Hennig tried keep things grounded on the mat, and Snow tried to turn the match into a brawl. After sneaking in a shot with Head that knocked curt out to the floor, Snow seemed to be on the verge of putting Hennig away, but he badly miscalculated on a suicidal dive out of the ring. He missed and hit the floor at ringside hard. Hennig rolled him back into the ring, applied a picture perfect Hennig Plex, and got the win. After the bell rang, Hunter and Pesek left the arena quickly and without fanfare.
Lumberjack match ”Exotic” Adrian Street battled ”Dr. Death” Steve Williams to a No Contest First, the lumberjacks for this match were introduced. On Street’s side of the ring were Andre the Giant, Ted DiBiase, Virgil, King Kong Bundy, and Sky Low Low. On Willaims side of the ring were Bob and Brad Armstong, Little Beaver, The Mountie, and TERRY GORDY!!! Though Gordy still hasn’t been cleared to wrestle after the injuries he suffered at Andre’s hands after Street turned on him, he didn’t require a doctor’s release to be a lumberjack! Street quickly went on the offensive, and caught the big Oklahoman off guard with his aggressiveness. Street actually stayed on the offensive, surprising the fans and the lumberjacks by dominating the good doctor. When Street went for his Crucifix finisher, Gordy had seen all he was to see, and tried to climb into the ring. This of course caused Street’s allies to rush the ring, and a wild brawl broke out! The referee tossed the match out, then quickly headed for the hills as there was no way a hundred and ten pound referee was going to restore order here. Bob Armstrong jumped on Bundy’s big back and slapped on a sleeper, DiBiase went for his “Million Dollar Dream” on Brad, but instead was on the receiving end of The Mountie’s shock stick! Andre grabbed his employer and tag team partner by the foot and dragged him out of the ring and to safety, wanting nothing to do with The Mountie and his ten thousand volt equalizer as Brad and the crazy Canuck chased after them. Little Beaver got some payback for the brutality he’s suffered at Sky Low Low’s hands by dropkicking a chair into Sky Low Low’s face by the time keeper’s table! After Bob Armstrong and Bundy tumbled over the top rope, and Virgil was clotheslined over the top rope by Williams, Gordy was left alone in the ring with Street. Street tried to beg for mercy, but Gordy wasn’t listening. He pounced on his former partner, but the wily Street was able to slip out of the ring. With Gordy in hot pursuit, Street jumped the barricade ran through the crowd and out a fire exit to end an unpredictable night of Association action.
*After a crazy night, we say good bye to the Big Cat and say hello to “The Bill”, The Bill Vining Arena in Arkadelphia Arkansas!
*The 2nd round of the heavyweight title tournament will go down that night with four big matches. The Iron Sheik will tangle with Bruiser Brody, Jimmy Snuka faces Curt Hennig in what promises to be an instant classic, One Man Gang goes toe-to-toe with Killer Kowalski, and fresh off his “big win” tonight, Bob Orton Sr. will lock up with The Destroyer.
*Also, as a result of tonight’s action, four additional matches have been signed! Paul London will face Beepo one-on-one. Reginald Love, with Big Daddy Dink, will attempt to avenge his brother’s loss tonight by going up against Kip James. Your co-main events will start when Little Beaver and Sky Low Low continued their historic and extremely violent feud, then just one week away from their first title defense, The Mega-Bucks join forces with Masked Superstar and King Kong Bundy to face the duo who will be challenging them Brad Armstrong & The Mountie who will team up with Bob Armstrong and Ray Stevens in an eight man elimination tag match!

Promoter’s commentary Wow. The main event was just god awful. The dice totally turned against Williams from the get go, and the whole thing would have ended as a squash job win for Street if it hadn’t been fought under lumberjack rules. The good news? One more card, and Gordy will be back from his injury. I actually forgot to introduce Hunter and Pesek in the crowd last week. They’re supposed to be scouting the talent in the heavyweight title tournament for the wrestler Hunter will manage (and Pesek will be Enforcer for), but because I forgot about it they missed more then half of the first round. Whoops. Turk continues to stink up the joint, I’m thinking this was his swan song. Speaking of swan song’s, next week is the blow off match for Little Beaver and Sky Low Low; any thoughts on stipulations? I’ve got one in mind, but am always open to suggestions. I want to see OMG win it all, very excellent event... I'm pulling for OMG too, because I think a face OMG as champion could be a lot of fun. Hopefuly, the dice will continue to shine on him.

[glow=blue,2,300]Breaking News[/glow]
”The Terrible Turk” Youssuf Ishmaelo and The Association have come to terms to release Mr. Ishmaelo from his contract. All of us at Association HQ wish Mr. Ishmaelo luck in his future endeavors.
Association spokesman Johnny Fairplay announced a special stipulation for the co-main event match at The Bill between Sky Low Low and Little Beaver. The two will now compete under “LAST DWARF STANDING” rules! If the previous encounters between these two is any indication, this match promises to be disproportionately brutal. This in addition to a big eight man elimination tag team match featuring The Mega-Bucks, The Mountie, and more! Association action at The Bill Vining Arena in Arkadelphia! A limited number of tickets are still available. You’ll pay for the whole seat, but you’ll only need the edge!
[glow=purple,2,300]Power 10[/glow] 1) The Mega-Bucks (1,-) Andre wisely did not get involved in the big lumberjack dust up at The Big Cat. His partner/employer did and found out first hand why the Giant has been avoiding The Mountie.
2) ”Exotic” Adrian Street (4,+2) Though the match may have ended in a No Contest, and with Street running for the hills with Terry Gordy in hot pursuit; between the bells of this week’s main event, Adrian Street showed everyone just what a dangerous competitor he is. A rematch with Williams and an inevitable show down with Gordy lay ahead for the Exotic one. 3) The Mountie (2,-1) The Mountie got his hands, or more accurately his cattle prod on The Million Dollar Man this week. Next week he gets another opportunity as he and partner Brad take on The Mega-Bucks as part of a big eight man main event match. Then, it’s just seven days until they get a shot at the Association tag team championship. 4) Killer Kowalski (-) Though D-Lo Brown showed off just how tough he is, Killer Kowalski dominated his first round match from bell to bell. Will he be able to put on a similarly impressive performance next week against the popular One Man Gang? 5) One Man Gang (-) He’s the biggest man left at the table, and he’s got all the “Gang Bangers” behind him, but will that be enough to get past the vicious Killer Kowalski? 6) Rob Van Dam (3,-3) The Whole F’n show lost face when Bob Orton Sr. spat in his. Orton may find RVD harder to pin in a ring then to an arm wrestling table. 7) ”Superfly” Jimmy Snuka (-) Snuka looked good against The Terrible Turk, sending Ishmaelo out of the tournament and right out of the Association. Next week promises a tougher test for the man from the Fiji Islands, as he’ll lock up with second generation superstar Curt Hennig. 8) The James Gang (9,+1) B.G. James looked good against Hartford Love. Next week, it will be up to Kip to see if he can keep up the James Gang’s winning ways when he takes on Reginald Love one-on-one 9) Curt Hennig(-) Hennig looked past Al Snow, and that arrogance almost cost him. Seeing how he struggled against the Snowman, Hennig will need to take it to a whole different level against Jimmy Snuka. 10) Bob Orton Sr. (-) Congratulations, of sort, to Cowboy Bob (the elder). He got a little bit of payback for the humiliating loss he suffered at RVD’s hands two weeks ago, even if he had to use the “loogie heard ‘round the world” to do it. Really though, Orton should be focusing on getting ready for The Destroyer.
On the outside looking in: The Destroyer, Sky Low Low, Bruiser Brody, The Iron Sheik
