Wrestling Championship Association presented by The Guilty Party Card 1.4 01/25 The Bill Vining Arena, Arkadelphia Arkansas
The Association made it’s debut in Razorback country, and it was a night the Arkansans in attendance won’t soon forget, with the second round of the Heavyweight Championship Tournament and a big double main event!
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 2 match Killer Kowalski defeated One Man Gang via pinfall As the introductions were being made, April Hunter and John Pesek once again made their way through the crowd to take front row, ringside seats. Kowalski jumped OMG as he was distracted by the sight of these two at ringside, and gained an early advantage. The brawled both in and out of the ring, and though the “Gang-bangers” in the crowd were fully behind the big man, Kowalski was relentless. Though Gang rallied late in the match, it was too little, too late as Kowalski was able to lock on his dreaded Kowalski Claw in middle of the ring! Gnag tried to fight his way out of it, but he ended up on his back, with his shoulders down, and Killer Kowalski got the three count!
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 2 match Bob Orton Sr. defeated The Destroyer via pinfall For the past several weeks, Orton has been engaged in a rivalry with Rob Van Dam. There was much speculation that he might not be focused on Heavyweight Championship Tournament in general, or on The Destroyer specifically. In this match though, he put that speculation to rest as he dominated the highly touted masked man. No matter what The Destroyer tried, Orton seemed to have an answer ready. In the end, Orton used two successive Piledrivers to put away the Destroyer. As Orton celebrated in the ring, RVD came out from the locker room. The two starred each other down, and Orton even held the ring ropes open for Van Dam, inviting him to come down and fight. Before that could happen though, Association management representative Johnny Fairplay came out and forced Van Dam back to the locker room.
Non-tournament match Reginald Love (with Big Daddy Dink) defeated Kip James via pinfall Up until now, the rivalry between The Love Brothers and the James Gang has been competitive, but ultimately one-sided. In Arkadelphia, Reginald was able to get a small measure of revenge for the losses he and his brother Hartford have suffered at the hands of Kip and B.G. James. Reginald was in control of this one from the outset, and used his Atomic Drop finisher to put the athletically gifted Kip away. After the match, Big Daddy Dink got on the house mic and challenged the James Gang to a 3 on 2 match next week, where he will join his team in the ring.
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 2 match The Iron Sheik defeated Bruiser Brody via pinfall The story going into this match was “which style would win out?” Would it be the brute force brawling of Bruiser Brody, or the dirty tricks and legitimate AAU champion level mat skills of Iron Sheik? We got an answer quickly in this one as early on The Iron Sheik reversed whip into the corner by Brody and then got a quick school boy roll up and a hand full of tights for the win!
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 2 match Curt Hennig defeated ”Superfly” Jimmy Snuka via pinfall If the last match left the fans unsatisfied, this classic more then made up for it. Snuka had control early on, using his agility and unorthodox offense to keep the second generation Hennig on the defensive. The turning point came when Snuka went up top for the Superfly Splash, but Hennig sprang up and caught him on the top rope and super-plexed him back into the ring! Snuka rolled out of the ring to try and catch his breath, but Hennig followed and whipped Snuka into the guardrail! Hennig then tossed Snuka into the ring and hit the Hennig-plex for the win! After the bell rang, Hennig slipped out of the ring and was heading back towards the dressing room when John Pesek jumped the rail and attacked Snuka who was still in the ring! With Hunter barking orders from her seat, Pesek locked Snuka in a painful submission hold. Suddenly, Hennig turned back to the ring, ran in, and chased off Pesek! While Pesek jumped the railing and made a speedy exit with Hunter, Hennig helped Snuka to his feet. The two competitors shook hands, and Snuka raised Hennig’s arm in victory as the crowd cheered!
Non-tournament match Paul London defeated Bepo via count out This was a classic struggle of size and power vs. speed and agility. Though Bepo was able to gain the advantage early, London was able to battle back. In the end, London used a series of impressive high flying moves culminating in a springboard moonsault to the outside to put the big Croatian down! Bepo couldn’t meet the referee’s count, and London got the win.
Co-Main Event Last Dwarf Standing Match Sky Low Low defeated Little Beaver via knock-out Since the very first night of the Association, Sky Low Low has been brutalizing Little Beaver. Tonight Little Beaver fought back, only to come up a little short. This was a violent and brutal battle that saw numerous foreign objects including the ring bell, a camera cable, and a steel chair used to bloody and beat the two competitors. After a shot with a steel pipe, it looked like Sky Low Low would not be able to answer the ten count, but he shockingly was able to get to his feet at eight! Little Beaver came at him again with the pipe, only to have Sky Low Low counter, take the pipe, and deliver the knock-out shot with it! Once the referee had counted out Little Beaver, Sky Low Low collapsed, and both dwarves needed medical assistance to leave the ring area.
Co-Main Event Eight-man Elimination Match The Mega-Bucks. Masked Superstar, & King Kong Bundy defeated The Mountie, Bob & Brad Armstrong, & Ray Stevens With just seven days until The Mega-Bucks make their first defense of the Association Tag Team Championship against the duo of The Mountie and Brad Armstrong, there was a lot on the line in this match up. The Mountie’s team scored first blood when they quickly isolated Masked Superstar in their corner. The Mountie connected with his Short Arm Chokeslam and then tagged in Stevens who used his Bombs Away finisher to eliminate Masked Superstar. King Kong Bundy then came in to the match, and he and Stevens traded blows for a while. With Bundy down, Stevens tagged in The Mountie, but Bundy quickly recovered and tagged in Andre. Andre showed none of the fear he’d been displaying in regards to the Mountie in recent weeks, probably because Mountie didn’t have his twenty-thousand volt equalizer. Andre man-handled Mountie, and quickly put him away with the Big Slapsh to even the sides. Bob Armstrong jumped into the action next, going right after Andre, but to little or no effect. After Andre had softened the Bullet up, DiBiase made the tag and put the elder Armstrong away with his Million Dollar Sleeper. Brad Armstrong quickly lept into the ring, and took the fight right to DiBiase. The two battled back and forth, with Brad blocking DiBiase’s every attempt to get a tag. Eventually, Andre reached into the ring and grabbed Brad by the throat. Andre ignored the referee’s count and continued to chock the life out of Brad. Ray Stevens could take no more, he leapt into the ring, raced across, and positively punted Andre, right in the twig and berries! The referee ordered Stevens out of the ring, and to the back, as Gary Michael Cappetta announced that both Stevens and Andre had been disqualified from the match! That left Brad Armstrong all alone and in bad shape against Ted DiBiase and King Kong Bundy. Dibiase quickly tagged Bundy in, and the big man went to work on Brad. But Brad was to fast for Bundy and quickly gained the upper hand. He connected with a picture perfect Russian Leg Sweep and got the three count to eliminate Bundy. With it down to just Brad Armstrong and the Million Dollar Man, Brad put up an amazing fight, showing tremendous heart and skill as time after time he escaped from the Million Dollar Sleeper. Eventually though, DiBiase wore Brad down, and got the win with his finishing hold to be the sole survivor for his team. After the bell, Virgil and Andre, who had rolled under the ring rather then going to the back after being disqualified, came into the ring and attacked Brad. Virgil put a steel chair around Brad’s ankle and Andre climbed up on the bottom rope to jump down to stomp on the chair with a sickening impact! Brad wailed in pain as they prepared to do it again, when The Mountie, Ray Stevens, and Bob Armstrong ran back out! The Mega-Bucks and Virgil quickly fled, but the damage may have already been done.
*After a brutal night Arkadelphia, the Association returns next week to the Chamber of Horrors in New Orleans!
*Next week will see the semi-final round of the Heavyweight Title Tournament as Killer Kowalski battles Bob Orton Sr. and Curt Hennig collides with The Iron Sheik. One of these four men will be the first Association Heavyweight Champion, but first they have to get past the other three.
*The main event in NOLA is scheduled to be The Mega-bucks defending the Tag Team Championship against Brad Armstrong & The Mountie, but the dastardly assault on Brad in Arkadelphia has put that match in jeopardy! Stay tuned for updates through out the week.
*GORDY’S BACK!!!! For the first time since Adrian Street and The Mega-bucks put him on the shelf, Terry “Bam-Bam” Gordy has been cleared to wrestle by Association medical staff. Obviously, Gordy is looking for payback, and it starts at the Chamber of Horrors against Virgil

Promoter’s commentary The injury bug came a biting this week, with injuries to Snuka (a minor one, thankfully), Little Beaver (which won’t matter), and (disastrously) Brad Armstrong. I think I’ll go the mystery replacement partner rout for next week’s main event, just need to decide who.
This was the worst possible results for the second round: three heels and a tweener advance to the semi-finals, with none of the eliminated faces having had a good enough match to warrant feud considerations. Fortunately, I have a plan B. I also have a plan C, but hopefully it won’t come to that.
This was a shockingly strong showing by Bob Orton Sr. After the way RVD man-handled him at show 1.2, I was sure the Destroyer would, if you’ll pardon the phrase, destroy him. Of course, Kowalski has been looking unstoppable, so I don’t love Bob’s chances next week, but only time will tell.

[glow=orange,2,300]Injury Update[/glow] Terry ‘Bam-Bam’ Gordy has been cleared to return to the ring.
”Superfly” Jimmy Snuka will be out two to three weeks due to a high ankle sprain suffered during his match with Curt Hennig and made worse when he was assaulted by John Pesek.
Brad Armstrong suffered a fractured ankle as a result of the actions of Virgil and The Mega-bucks. Armstrong is expected to miss up to two months as he recovers.
[glow=blue,2,300]Breaking News[/glow]
As a result of Brad Armstrong’s injury, his tag-team partner The Mountie will be allowed to chose a new partner to join him in challenging The Mega-bucks for the Association Tag Team Championship in New Orleans. Though there as been no official word, the scuttlebutt puts Bob Armstrong and Dr. Death Steve Williams as early favorites.
Association spokesman Johnny Fairplay has announced that Sky Low Low and Little Beaver have been released from their contracts. The two midgets have thrilled Association crowds with their short but brutal feud, but, sighting a fear of further injury, The Association has decided not to schedule any further matches between them. We wish them well in their future endeavors.
[glow=purple,2,300]Power 10[/glow] 1)The Mega-Bucks (1,-) The Tag Team Champions came out on top of the eight-man tag main event this week, despite Andre getting himself disqualified. More impressively, they took apart Brad Armstrong and took him out of this week’s big title match. 2) Killer Kowalski (4,+2) Unstoppable. That’s the only word to describe how Killer Kowalski looks right now. After the way he steamrolled through The One Man Gang, Kowalski is now the odds on favorite to become the first Association Heavyweight Champion. 3) The Iron Sheik (-) If there was any doubt, The Iron Sheik proved it once again this week: Cunning and trickery will beat brute strength every time. Now Brody’s sitting at home, and Iron Sheik has a match with Curt Hennig. 4)Curt Hennig(9,+5) Hennig looked good against Snuka, but he looked his best when he came back to save his vanquished opponent from John Pesek. Now Hennig moves on to face The Iron Sheik, but he’s got to watch over his shoulder for Pesek. 5)Bob Orton Sr. (10,+5) For a few weeks now, we’ve been using Bob Orton Sr. as a punch line. We wish to take this opportunity to apologize to him now… Before he piledrives us into oblivion like he did The Destroyer. 6) ”Exotic” Adrian Street (2,-4) The Exotic One was no where to be seen this week. We figure he’s still running scared from Terry Gordy. 7)Ray Stevens(-) After a disastrous debut against The Iron Sheik, Ray Stevens looked good in the eight-man tag. The Masked Superstar has requested a singles match against Stevens, aiming to prove that his quick elimination via Bombs Away was a fluke. 8) The Mountie (3,-5) For weeks now, Andre the Giant has been avoiding The Mountie. After the convincing way in which he eliminated The Mountie this week, we have to wonder why. 9)Paul London & Brian Kendrick(-) Three times London and or Kendrick have locked horns with The Mongols, and three times the dynamic duo have gotten the better of the massive Croatians. This coming week in New Orleans, they’ll look to keep that streak going when Brian Kendrick takes on Geeto one-on-one. 10)The James Gang (8,-2) After an impressive tag team victory and an equally impressive singles victory for B.G. over the Love Brothers, Kip dropped the ball this week. The James Gang will try to get back on track when they face The Love Brother’s and Big Daddy Dink in a 2 on 3 handicap match.
On the outside looking in: The Love Brothers, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, RVD

RVD and Snuka were the last two face's to hold gold in my old fed, so I was expecting them to continue to be top performers. RVD's feud with Bob Orton Sr. should kick into high gear once Orton is eliminated from the title tournament. . . Or if Orton wins the whole thing. Snuka vs. Pesek should be a good match in a few weeks.

Wrestling Championship Association presented by The Guilty Party Card 1.5 02/01 The Human Performance Center, New Orleans Louisiana
The fans in NOLA were pumped for the return of The Association to the Chamber of Horrors! Not only would the semi-finals of the WCA Heavyweight Championship tournament go down, but it would also see the return to action of the incomparable Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy. And in the main event, The Mega-Bucks made their first defense of the WCA Tag Team Championship against The Mountie and his Mystery Partner!
Six Man Tag Team Match King Kong Bundy, Justin Credible, & The Destroyer defeated ”Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Bob Armstrong, & D’Lo Brown via pinfall An exciting six-man tag match opened the action in the Chamber of Horrors. Bundy and Bullet Bob have had their problems in the past few weeks, as have Hacksaw and Justin Credible, but it was D’Lo and The Destroyer who stole the show here with several minutes of exciting back and forth action. The end to this one came when Armstrong was isolated in the opposing teams corner. Bundy and Credible used teamwork and quick tags to wear Armstrong down. Finally, Bundy used the Avalanche to get the 5 count.
Non-tournament match Brian Kendrick defeated Geeto Mongol via pinfall The rivalry between The Mongols and the duo of Kendrick and Paul London continues to heat up. Last week, London used his superior speed and agility to confound Beepo. This week, Geeto seemed to have learned from his partner’s mistake. The big Croatian used his size and power advantage to dominate Kendrick from the get go. The momentum switched though when Geeto sent Kendrick into corner and charged in after him. Kendrick quickly moved out of the way, and sent Geeto tumbling out of the ring. Kendrick then launched himself over the tope rope, connecting with a suicide dive. A few moments later, Kendrick connected with a Tornado DDT to get the win.
3 on 2 handicap match The Love Brothers & Big Daddy Dink) defeated The James Gang via pinfall The feud between The Love Brothers and The James Gang has been memorable for highly competitive matches. This week, however, The Love Bothers and their manager were able to dominate Kip James from the opening bell. They used their numbers advantage to keep Kip in the ring. After several minutes, Reginald Love pinned Kip after he and Hartford used their trademark Double Slam… This, after Big Daddy Dink had hit Kip with a pair of brass knuckles!
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 3 match Curt Hennig defeated The Iron Sheik via pinfall These men took very different routes to the semi-finals. Curt Henning got here through hard fought victories over Al Snow and Jimmy Snuka, while The Iron Sheik used dirty tricks to sneak past Bruiser Brody and Ray Stevens. This time, The Iron Sheik’s cunning wasn’t enough to overcome the talent of Curt Hennig. Though Iron Sheik started out strong, Hennig took over early and never took his foot off the gas. Iron Sheik exited the ring, looking for a respite, but got more then he bargained for when Curt came over the top rope with a Tope Suicida! Hennig then rolled Iron Sheik back into the ring and executed a picture-perfect Hennig-Plex for the win! With the victory, Curt Hennig has punched his ticket for the Championship match at The Super Show at the Super-Pit in two weeks.
Non-tournament match Masked Superstar defeatedRay Stevens via submission After last week’s 8 man elimination match, Masked Superstar called out the man who pinned him, Ray Stevens. These two proved evenly matched, as the action went back and forth. Eventually, Masked Superstar gained the upper hand and locked in his dreaded Cobra Hold. Stevens fought his way out, with crowd behind him, but when Masked Superstar locked in the hold a second time, it was time for the fat lady to sing.
WCA Heavyweight Championship Tournament round 3 match Killer Kowalskidefeated Bob Orton Sr. via pinfall Kowalski has looked unstoppable so far in this tournament, but last week in defeating the highly touted Destroyer, Cowboy Bob (the elder) proved he’s full of surprises. For a time, it seemed as though Orton might score another upset as he rocked Kowalski like no one in this tournament has before, even getting several near falls! In the end though, Kowalski would not be denied and he used his feared Kowalski Claw to pin Orton in the center of the ring. Killer Kowalski moves on to face Curt Hennig for the title in 2 weeks at The Super Show at the Super-Pit.
Non-tournament match Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy defeated Virgil via pinfall GORDY’S BACK!!!!! After being sidelined by vicious assault by Ted DiBiase and his paid flunkies, including his former partner Adrian Street, Terry Gordy returned to action in the Association ring. The first target of his wrath: the low man on DiBiase’s totem pole, Virgil. The bodyguard showed admirable courage and fortitude in taking the fight right to Gordy, if not admirable decisions making ability. Such abilities were probably not improved by the vicious powerbomb Gordy unleashed for the win!
Main Event WCA Tag Team Championship Match The Mountie & One Man Gang defeated The Mega-Bucks via pinfall This match was originally scheduled to be The Mega-Bucks vs. The Mountie and Brad Armstrong, but after a vicious assault last week, Brad Armstrong will be out of action for months. As a result, The Mountie was allowed to choose a new partner. With Adrian Street nowhere to be seen and Virgil on his way to the emergency room, courtesy of Terry Gordy, the numbers advantage the Mega-Bucks usually enjoy wasn’t a factor; but DiBiase still seemed confident. With Andre the Giant as your tag team partner, you’d be confident too. But the Million-Dollar Man’s cocky grin faltered when The Mountie’s partner was introduced as The One Man Gang! OMG and Andre threw down right from the outset with the two leviathans trading power moves. The Mountie eventually tagged in, egger to get his hands on his giant rival. Though the Mountie started strong, the Giant’s power overwhelmed him. The Mountie was in real trouble and in desperate need of a tag. Instead, it was Andre who got the tag. DiBiase’s cockiness was back as he brutalized the popular Canuck. When DiBiase locked in his Million Dollar Sleeper, it seemed like the end. But The Mountie fought back, took control, and connected with a Short-arm Chokeslam! Andre made the save, but The Mountie was able to tag in One Man Gang. Moments later, OMG hit DiBiase with the 747 Splash! Andre tried to make the save, but was cut off by the Mountie, and we have NEW WCA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!! Andre carried his employer away while the champs were presented their belts, and the Gang-Bangers and Canuckle-heads in the arena went crazy.
* A huge upset by the impromptu team of The Mountie and One Man Gang! DiBiase is already crying foul, and rematch is surely in the cards in the near future.
* Gordy’s back and he wants revenge on Adrian Street, but he’ll have to wait, as the big main event announced for next week at Texas Hall in Arlington is the rematch between Street and “Dr. Death” Steve Williams! Lumberjacks couldn’t maintain order the last time these two fought, we’ll see what Association management comes up with this time.
* Because of tonight’s matches, we know that Curt Hennig and Killer Kowalski will face off in two weeks to crown the first ever WCA Heavyweight Champion! But, first, they’ll meet in a 6 man tag match in Arlington! Hennig will join forces with Jim Duggan and Ray Stevens, while Kowalski will team with Justin Credible and Masked Superstar!
* It’s partner roulette next week! Paul London, who usually teams with Brian Kendrick, will partner with BG James, who usually teams with Kip James. This odd couple will take on the mismatched duo of Beepo Mongol and Reginald Love, who will no doubt have Big Daddy Dink in their corner.
