Thanks for the comments Troy, Pariah and AJ. The 8MW shows are really fun to do and as luck would have it I was rolling this one out on Christmas Eve when the idea came to me to use Santa Wolf. I also used Duran Duran as the guest musical act for Hungry Like The Wolf to bring everything full circle.

If you don't have the 8MW sets I would recommend getting them as they are fun to use although I must admit their time in my fed may be winding down. I am looking at changing things up in the next fed year so they could be on the chopping block. If that happens you will likely see them pop up on tours of Japan for Kings Road United as a special "sports entertainment" attraction. It's not concrete that I will eliminate 8MW entirely either as I might keep the promotion and limit it to like four to six shows per game year in order to bring in another smaller territory.

Next up will be some Pacific Coast Wrestling action featuring Don Muraco vs. The Sheik for the LOW International Heavyweight title plus Dutch Savage & Jimmy Snuka vs. Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton, Fred Blassie vs. John Tolos and Pepper Gomez & Tug Taylor vs. Playboy Buddy Rose & The Mountie.

Always enjoy The Tanya Roberts of it all - I mean the theme of it all, this 80's division you have here. Glad to see it may still survive the realignment but am also looking forward to the new division coming in.

This will be another way to rock for you for sure.

Match Highlights:
The main event before a packed house at the legendary Cow Palace saw a battle of heels as the “Magnificent” Don Muraco of the First Family challenged The Sheik for the LOW International Heavyweight title. Manager Jimmy Hart was in the corner of Muraco opposite Abdullah Farouk, the longtime manager of The Sheik. That made for an interesting dynamic as much for the participants as for the fans. Muraco was surprisingly the crowd favorite despite his recent actions along with the First Family in their attacks on Bob & Brad Armstrong. He dominated most of the action which included The Sheik bailing out of the ring after a vertical suplex looking to regroup. The Sheik loves to go out of the ring, though, and that is where the tide turned in this one. Muraco would later toss The Sheik back outside and the two began trading blows which nearly resulted in a double disqualification. Muraco took it a step further, though, and decked the referee as he attempted to continue his attack on The Sheik. That resulted in The Sheik being awarded a rare disqualification victory and make a successful version eight defense of the title.

The match of the night saw the continuation of the long-standing rivalry between the “King of Men’ Fred Blassie and the “Golden Greek” John Tolos. After Tolos won their Dog Collar Match at WrestleCade 11, most felt that the feud would simmer down but now Blassie is intent on avenging that loss. This was a brutal match that saw both men busted open while surviving multiple pin attempts. Blassie twice kicked out of the Flying Knee Drop while Tolos shocked everyone by kicking out of the Southern Neckbreaker late in the match. The finish saw Tolos, perhaps out of desperation more than anger, use a foreign object to knock Blassie out during a brawl on the floor. He then rolled Blassie back inside and hit his third Flying Knee Drop of the match to score the pin. An irate Blassie spoke with PWI Editor Bill Apter after the match and said that this match was the last straw and that the war must end. He called for everyone to tune in to the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling where he will be making the ultimate challenge to Tolos.

Dutch Savage teamed up with Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka to battle their mutual rivals “Rowdy” Roddy Piper & “Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton in a heated tag team match. It was a match that was about eighty-percent controlled by the Savage and Snuka team making life miserable for Piper and Orton. Savage hit the Running Piledriver on Piper early on, but he managed to kick out of the pin attempt. Snuka took over battering Piper in and out of the ring much to the delight of the crowd. A counter in the corner led to Piper making a much-needed tag but Orton didn’t fare much better. In the end it was Snuka roughing up Orton on the outside before making the exchange with Savage who connected with a Running Piledriver on the bodyguard to score the pin. An enraged Piper attempted to use a chair post-match but was driven out of the ring by Savage and Snuka. The war between these four is far from over, however, as Piper and Orton will likely look to get even in the future.

It was not a good night for Sherri Martel and her Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. faction and it began in the opening match as she accompanied Dr. Tom Prichard to the ring for his match with Jim Powers of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Prichard had things going his way when suddenly Chaz Taylor made a surprise return providing a distraction which Powers took advantage of by avoiding a corner charge and rolling up Prichard for the pin. Martel went crazy at ringside demanding a reversal of the decision as Taylor, who was put out of action by SSA, Inc. celebrated the win with Powers. After bouncing back with a hard-fought win by her Texas Hangmen over Dewey Robertson & Peter Kaasa, Martel was hoping to guide Playboy Buddy Rose & The Mountie to a big victory over Pepper Gomez & Tugboat Taylor. It was not to be, however, as Chaz again made his presence known cutting off interference by Martel. Tugboat took advantage of the save by his son and came off the top rope with the Anchor Drop on Rose for the pin. The Taylor’s and Gomez celebrated their big win as Martel scolded Rose over the loss. The fallout is that the Taylor’s and Gomez will team up to face Rose, The Mountie and Prichard in a big six-man tag team match on the next PCW card in Eugene, OR (Card #1155). Also signed for that card is a tag match that will see Davey Richards & Brad Armstrong take on The Warlord & Rhino. This came because of Rhino using Jimmy Hart’s megaphone on Richards before hitting the Gore to win their singles match. The Warlord then joined Rhino in a two-on-one beatdown of Richards until a fired-up Armstrong cleared the ring with a chair.

Hard to believe the Sheik was awarded a DQ decision... Usually that goes the other way... But, it's very cool that he held onto the title regardless... He's putting together an impressive run...
